Got a bit of cleaning done today and now the girls are enjoying free play at the gymnastics place. I know I shouldn't be, but I'm always amazed at how parents let their kids go apeshit at these types of places and not follow the rules. My kids are no angels by any means, but they know how to behave in public because it's grilled in their brains we'll leave if their assholes.

inthekitty I know right?! I’m also hugely annoyed when people let their 8-9-10yo play in structures that are very clearly for ‘uch younger kids and are therefore hindering the little ones!

Still on West coast time here. We all slept past 9 and then I had a team meeting. J and I ran to Costco and Target bc we had no food. I couldn't help getting a 7 layer dip even though we will only be watching for the commercials and or the puppy bowl.
It seems we may have left Mr. Potato Head on the plane (of course mh sat with the kids for the last 10 min of the flight and deplaning 😣). So may need to prime a new one since he's a favorite. And puppy got a bath today, he legit smelled.

E and I are currently having a conversation about her not napping and I’m watching tv. LO is finally down for a nap and I should be doing laundry but nope.
We went on a target run last night and today we went grocery shopping and made banana bread.

Sorry H had a rough night, but it sounds like he’s feeling better today. tgrimes Hope the worst of it is behind him. nam2013 Poor A. Hope he can keep his current meal down. Maybe see if the doc can send him some zofran. I gave M half of mine left over from my last pregnancy. I crushed it and put it in juice and it helped him to keep something down and give him a little energy. flamingo Rest is good. Colds suck. Hope you feel better soon. |

Hi! I hit a few stores for food earlier and about to get ready to go to the gym. My upper back is so tight - it’s where I carry my stress- so I may call to see if I can get a massage later to work out that tension.
I noticed M had a juicy ear yesterday afternoon, so ear infection. I started drops and he slept better than the last week, so maybe that was the culprit. Doc said his ears looked fine Monday, so I’m not sure at what point they got bad. Today it looks like his other ear is beginning to get like the infected one, so drops for that ear, too.

I had so much fun last night for my sister’s birthday but we didn’t get back to our room until nearly 4 am. I am too old for this. We have friends coming over for Super Bowl but I would like to curl up in bed with an IV drip for a long time. DH had a great night with the kids and did clean the house and get all the food for later as he promised.

And just as I was thinking what a miracle it was that I hadn’t caught anything, got hit with a fever, chills, and sore throat. Low-key day. Everyone is just getting up from nap. I made that pizza quinoa dish tgrimes has posted before and it smells delightful but I’m sure no one except Pete and Miss P will eat it. That girl has never met a morsel of food she didn’t like. |

DH and I cleared the air during nap and now we're all snacking in front of pre-game shows. DH got lots of low-carb stuff since I'm trying to be thoughtful of my diet while not running.

After looking at hundreds of sofas, we didnt find one that we liked and would work for our space.
We now aren't speaking because I tried to help him take our Christmas lights down and clearly wasn't doing it like he wanted, so he asked me what the fuck I was doing. To not lose my shit on him, I walked away.

nam2013 I know the nurses line said he was ok if alert, etc but I would say if he’s still sick tomorrow take him to be seen. At the very least to check for dehydration. Damn tgrimes. I’m sorry

Oh man cagoldi. Can you get tamiflu? P is on it now, and my PCP will definitely want me to start it, too. I left her a voicemail so she can send a script over to my pharmacy tomorrow morning and I’m still in that 48 hour window. |

I always read about it as a controversial drug in terms of recovery and side effects. I have, too, so I was a little concerned and didn’t dose her last night because I wanted to be able to keep an eye on her in case of an adverse reaction. She had done this morning and has seemed fine all day, so we’ll see. No vomiting from it thus far. Their pedis like to err on the side of caution because they could have my PID, so they say they’d rather give the Tamiflu since they are at a major risk for secondary infection if they are immunodeficient. We still need tiger X and P tested for it. |

If y'all want a good pasta recipe with minimal clean-up, here you go... DH made this tonight and it was so, so good. Both kids really liked it, C in particular devoured hers. The flavors were great. From Southern Living. Fusilli pasta with spinach, tomato and bacon |
