Welp I’m still 70% effaced and baby is still at 0 station but she said I’m almost at 2cm (I’ve been 1cm at my last two appointments). I’m honestly surprised not much has changed with all the contractions I’m having but I’m glad she’s still cooking in there! She did say she’d induce me on Feb 15th if I haven’t gone into labor on my own by then. Eeeek!

So... who's next up to have a baby? I think strawberrykiki is next? But I'm not 100% positive.

Had our last ultrasound today and my heart melted. Baby kept moving her mouth around like she was chewing or blowing bubbles and then started sticking her tongue in and out. 😭😍 It just made me more impatient for her to show up! She seems like a good mix of both boys. Seems chubbier cheeked and round eyed like DS2 but has a little slimmer nose like DS1.
They were able to get most measurements and she is measuring a hair over 6lbs. But she is so low in my pelvis and refused to rotate at all so they couldn't get all the head and brain measurements that wanted but seemed satisfied with what they did have which is good.

hrh thelittleredm I hope it’s me! I’m losing hope he’s going to come on his own before being induced Monday though 😪

strawberrykiki there's still time! DS2 dodged his induction by 4 hours. 😉

Moms with 3 kiddos, how are you planning on arranging car seats? I struggling with this more that I probably should be. We have a YukonXL so 3 rows to work with. I technically could put all 3 in one row but it limits access to the back row and means I can't easily transport anyone else. Baby would aslo be in the middle spot which is very difficult to get seat in and out. DS is 6.5 and still in a Britax high back booster with a 5 point harness. DD1 is 3.5 and just got turned forward facing in her Britax Marthon. DD2 is in a chicco infant seat. I'm thinking of switching DS to just a booster so he can get himself in a out (he has trouble with the bottom buckle release on his current seat) and then put the girls in the middle row. I just kind of worry about DD1 and her obsession with her baby sister!

tngrl3 I'm planning to do three across the middle row of our Honda Odyssey. Baby will be behind me on the driver's side in Chicco Keyfit, DS1 (6.5) will be in the Diono FF in the center, DS2 (3.5) in a Chicco Nextfit behind the passenger side FF. That said we haven't actually installed them yet to make sure they fit (I suppose I should get on that soon...), but I think it will work. If not, then DS1 will go to the back seat in the Diono and we'll pull out the middle seat in the middle row. We may need to do this too if they can't keep their hands off each other sitting in such close proximity. I am looking forward to DS1 being helpful with baby in terms of keeping her nuk in, calming her down, etc. so I hope it works. It's DS1 and DS2 being so close that has me worried!

tngrl3, In the Altima, we have both boys in Dionos with DS1 in the center since he can get in and out himself and DS2 behind the driver and the infant seat behind the passenger. In the Traverse, we have DS1 in the 3rd row and DS2 and the infant seat in the middle captain seats.

And another work day starts. I almost feel bad about being here because it means I can't help my MIL or my parents get ready for our shower tomorrow. And I'm usually so tired at the end of the day, I'm useless.
On the other hand, my parents took me to get a mani-pedi yesterday. They do this with every pregnancy shortly before baby is due and it is always much needed and appreciated. So nothing else may be ready but at least my hands and feet look nice! 😂

tngrl3 right now we have them 3 across in the Honda Odyssey. Baby is behind the driver’s seat, DS1 (4) behind passenger bc he has to get out for preschool and DS(2) is in the middle. It’s working okay for now.

@amc, Bahahaha DS1 is the same way! He sees the Amazon label now and just huffs and puffs away from the package.

Only 5.5 more hours....
I've decided A will show up as soon as the house is in order so that's my new goal. H will be so thrilled. /sarcasm He was not happy about my lack of physical attention torward him yesterday (it was his birthday). To be fair, I had every intention of making it a night but the kids were so full speed ahead with their chaotic behavior that by the time we sat down for dinner, I was feeling overwhelmed, emotional, and on the verge of tears. I didn't want to talk to anyone about anything, let alone be touched.

tngrl3 I have a Murano and we crammed all 3 seats across the one back row. DS1 (4) is FF in the middle in a narrow Cosco harness seat that will convert to a booster eventually. DD (2) is recently FF on the passenger side (I think her seat also is Cosco...just a toddler seat and doesn’t convert to anything else). LO is in a hand me down Graco infant seat behind the driver seat. We did it this way so that DS1 can climb in and out himself to help me, even though he can’t strap and unstrap himself yet. We also had to downsize to cheaper/less fancy carseats to get everything to fit. I am kicking myself for how much we spent on the supernice, 4-in-1 Graco and Evenflo seats that are just far too wide to use. I probably should try to sell them since they’re just taking up space in our garage at this point.

thelittleredm hope time sped up for you! Physical attention is not happening in my house. I’ve tried to be cuddly and affectionate in other ways, but I can’t do the sexy time right now. I feel like a whale. I went for a long walk a little bit ago. He has a bit over 24 hours to make his own way out until my induction is scheduled. Eek!

thelittleredm, don't feel guilty about not helping set up for your own shower, goodness! I hope your long work day is done and you can get your feet up for a bit tonight. Enjoy your shower tomorrow! And how sweet of your folks to treat you to the mani/pedi, very thoughtful of them. strawberrykiki I've been thinking of you, hope the walk helps get things going for you! I'm hitting anti-social mode which I admittedly do every time, I realize it's not normal but it's part of my process. But sheesh, I am not dying, you CAN see me after the baby, so no, we don't need one more dinner or one more social commitment in the precious few weekends I have left to get things done to prepare for this child!

I'm only feeling guilty because we were supposed to have it at our house (my mom's is too small) but my MIL offered because our house is that much of a disaster right now. And I sympathize with the anti-social behaviour! I don't want to do much talking with people. I barely want to hold a conversation with H. I'm afraid tomorrow is going to feel overwhelming even though the guest list isn't too big and it's suppose to be low key. I just want to do nothing except soak up time with the boys and not go anywhere.

Hope it is low key for you and you can have some chill time with your boys afterward. <3

@tngrl we have a minivan, so ds1 (5.5) is in the back and can buckle is harness himself, ds 2 &3 are in the captains chairs.
Our bigger issue is DH's car, as we can't fit all 3 seats across. I'm wondering if we cna hold out until ds1 is in a booster and see if 3 across will fit then.

CharlieB how is baby B doing with temp and blood sugar? Are you home yet/soon? Thinking of you! Thank you for thinking of us! We finally broke out around 8 on Friday night. We were on B’s last glucose check before being cleared, but then his numbers went down and wouldn’t come back up with feeding. We ended up supplementing to get him through until my milk arrived (and it did yesterday!). Then came the car seat test, which he failed. The pedi thought that it was due to his size and the seat rather than something more serious, so MH had to run out and buy a new car seat for test #2. Apparently the newer seats are better for tiny babes? Our other seat was manufactured in 2014, so not terribly old, but the pedi mentioned something about the recline and the straps that have changed in recent models. Anyway, it was money well-spent, because he passed his test and we were able to go home. He’s doing well now - we spent most of yesterday skin to skin, and he’s waking to nurse without much cajoling. He’s definitely a sleepy kid (for now), but we’re holding him pretty much all the time so that he doesn’t have to burn energy trying to stay warm. FX he hasn’t lost much weight when we take him for his checkup next week.

CharlieB so glad you are home and your milk came in! Interesting about the carseat! We had to buy a new one for this one as our first one from 2012 was expired; I haven't checked it out yet, I'm curious if I'll notice a difference! Glad he passed his test in it and is doing well, enjoy those snuggles and hope he's kept up his weight for you too! Thanks for the update! <3

CharlieB so happy that you’re at home and enjoying all the baby snuggles! ❤️ I was having some contractions last night but as soon as I went to bed nothing again! Looks like we will be heading to the hospital right after the super bowl for my induction. Now to try to rest and relax today and not freak out all day! 😬

CharlieB so glad you are home. I'm also doing lots of skin to skin and holding with my peanut. Glad the change of seats allowed him to pass the carseat test. i had to buy a new infant seat because our seat from 2012 was expired. I specifically went with the Chico because they are one of the ones with the lowest weight ratings and I anticipated another small baby. FX you all have a good weight check!
