Yes I would if they really had no lips like Kylie. I would not allow them to go as over the top as she did and I would only allow it if I could afford an actual dr and not a med spa. This is a sad response. Not just because of the obvious, but personally, I love thin lips. It’s like my #1 thing that I love in both men and women. I didn’t even know I did! I started noticing as I got older that every woman I thought was gorgeous and most of the men I list after and or dated, had thin lips! Think like Diane Krueger or Tinsley Mortimer or Ryan gosling. I'm not planning on giving my kids plastic surgery in HS but if I were living in an area where all the other girls were having plastic surgery and myself and my other kids and almost everyone I knew had enhanced myself and my kid was ridiculed for not looking a certain way and had low self confidence because of it I would allow it because it is not permanent. IMO the initial work Kylie had was was something I would be comfortable with for a JR or SR under the right Dr's care. I'm not anti thin lip but I can also see how it was a major self esteem issue for her.

I remember getting teased for having big lips. You can't win.

It looked like the boobs were the first thing in the plastic surgery progression? Maybe?

I feel very ick about the idea of giving kids lip injections.

Serious question. Going from almost no lips to humongous lips has to feel weird right?

Like we’re going to feed into the idea that there’s only one way to look beautiful and that is to look like everyone else? I’m beers in but this is like enraging to me.

Helping kids self esteem is not changing the way they look with plastic surgery, it is making them see their value beyond their looks.
I had low self esteem as a teenager and I thought the only way I could fix it was if I was skinny. I got skinny and guess what? Still low self esteem. The thing that helped was me realizing that I do not need to look perfect to have value or to deserve love from others.
I absolutely will not help my kid change her appearance in hopes it will help her self esteem (as a child). That is a slippery goddamn slope.

Your body and face change so much as a teen. I saved a lot of money for a nose and boob job from my part time jobs and ended up growing into my nose and going up a cup size between 15 and 17. So I bought a car with the $.

Do it in university over summer break when you can hide out and heal or adjust to the change away from all the peers you don’t even like and who might talk shit. Grow into your face first, and if you still want it, cool, but don’t give those assholes fuel. If they were hellbent enough to save for the procedure and show me they’d done research, I wouldnt flat out “no” it though.

My mom told me she’d pay for half a nose job. I think it’s because she knew I’d never actually save up half, lol

I listened to the new Jonas Brothers song. Meh. It'll probably end up on the radio, though.

Don't believe the hype. There is no way this foreign born permanent A list model is hooking up with this former One Direction singer unless he is paying her monthly rate, which he isn't.

My kid personally? I’d tell them to wait until they were 18. I did. I would want them to pay for it themselves and their face to stop growing.
If I was a Kardashian? Completely different universe.

There are amazing medspas. I wouldn’t just write them off. I much rather go to a medspa known for fillers than a dentist who took a weekend course or a place with a Groupon.

I liked the video, mainly bc I'm obsessed with anything Roccoco inspired. It was cute how they included their wives and fiance.

Completely different universe. This is my thoughts on this whole thing. No, I probably wouldn't let my kid. But we're talking about the Kardashian/Jenners. They're in a whollllle league of their own. Kim and Kris were probably 6 faces deep by the time Kylie had her first procedure. And I'm sure, making her own money, maybe?

I would not allow my to get lip fillers or cosmetic surgery right now (she's 17). I got a breast augmentation a few months ago and she said she wanted one too. Uhhh, no. You can wait and save for it and when you are 18 or older (that's in a few months) then do your thing but I'm not paying for it.

My boobs were b-cups until college and then suddenly I was a D. Thought I was having breathing problems till I realized my bras were two sizes too small. There's just so much changing that your body can do at that age. Obviously you're an adult at that point and can do what you want, but I cringe when people are augmenting their bodies before they are done growing.

I had a breast reduction at 17, which is obviously a little different, but it was still 98% cosmetic. I was also getting highlights and chemically straightening my hair at that point, which also feels different than fillers even though both are temporary. My point being, right now I’m a hard no but I could see that changing sometime in the next 15 years

US Weekly is saying that Jordyn also hooked up with Khloe’s Ex, James Harden. What in the dick selection world was she thinking?! Now, this I know is true.

Kylie had no lip though. This wasn't about having big lips. She had no lip like barely a slit of a lip. I would get my child plastic surgery.

Would you allow your 15-17yo to get lip fillers (and whatever else) if they asked? If they made the argument that this was impacting their self esteem? probably not- I'd rather they wait until after their mid-20s. The face can change a lot throughout adolescence and early adulthood, but there could be situations where I could be swayed one way or another. Same goes for surgical enhancements etc. The first time I had filler in my face (at 31) was to smooth out a dent that remained after I fractured my cheekbone. It started me on the path to tear trough filler to correct the tired look. Now I'm considering other areas- the domino effect is no joke I would completely support acne treatments/ chemical peels/ facials though Ok but I have never saw anyone grow a lip.

I’m torn. I have small lips, and I do feel insecure, but I have survived it and would probably tell my kid they could survive it until they could pay for it too. But, I also I didn’t grow up under public scrutiny like that, constantly compared to fully grown adult sisters who, even with their original faces, were arguably prettier. In that case I may would give in and allow some slight work to be done, but not the damn frog lips she has now. She looks stupid AF when eating/drinking/talking or basically anything that isn’t a perfectly posed photo.

I don’t think your lips classify as “thin”. I would never describe you as that adorable girl with the longish brown hair, glasses and thin lips.
