One of the radio stations here is doing a homemade Valentine card drive. Basically you make Valentines Day cards and drop them off at specified locations and then they collect them and take them to the children's hospital. Cadence heard them talking about it on the radio and asked if we could make some, so that will probably be a craft for this weekend.

It’s a cozy 23 here but schools were delayed for ice. DS is at school and I’m taking DD in a few minutes. DH is working from home because it’s suppose to snow for the afternoon commute. We submitted the information to the mortgage company for pre-approval last night so fx we get some good news later. nam2013 I know exactly how you feel. I’m always off when the kids are sick. I hope everyone feels better soon and you can reschedule your plans. |

My period started 2 weeks late this month and my body feels like this is an ok reason to make me as uncomfortable as possible. I think my uterus is trying to free itself from my body.

My H is in North Dakota, although he said he's just south of the coldest area. He was happily surprised his truck started today since he couldn't plug it in over night. |

E brought home a note from preschool that for Vday, she needs to bring in Valentines signed by her, but not to anyone specific, to make it as easy as possible. Cool, can do. But what the hell does this entail? I'm not pintresty, so I don't want anything overly complicated. But I don't want to just do those cheap little cards in the envelopes that don't ever close. What do you all do?

What do you all do? If you want to go real simple, there are a lot of non candy options like individual gold fish bags or rice krispie treats that leave a space to write a name. Kids this age don't care about the cards or messages, I assume. That said, I'm the pinteresty mom who has already started looking up ideas. lol! |
