The Senate has a proposal to fully repeal the estate tax. Because our massive debt isn't big enough. The rich are working every second to ensure that their wealth is untouchable and the rest of us will be powerless forever. Then they will say we can't afford SNAP or Medicare or Medicaid or social security or unemployment benefits. Or public education. Or roads without tolls. Or clean water.
I think I'm having a rage stroke.

It was more of a nonanswer. She talked about sort of the history how it’s prevalent but not really answering. To be fair it was the first question and she’s knocked the others out of the park

Blumenthal and Grassley just dropped a bill demanding that Special Counsel reports be released directly to Congress
Maybe this has already been covered, but it stopped me in my tracks. Grassley??? Like, Chuck Grassley?? Am I the only one surprised by this?

Rep. King had a town hall meeting over the weekend where the blatant racism shown through so clearly its disgusting. A women who was a "loyal Fox News Viewer" made the following remarks about how white supremacy and white nationalism shouldn't be seen as offensive today:
She said progressives want to "take away the America that we know."
Really the AMERICA I know is more inclusive this day and age. The America she and many others know is "seperate but equal", keeps miniorities under the white privilege thumb, and promoted inequality for women. I love how so many of these GOP women supporters continue to support a party that wants to oppress them back to not being able to work. How does this make any sense? Do all GOP women want to just be house wives?
And of course Rep. King showed he is still a SUPER racist with this response: Nuff said

I was trying to find the post in this thread about how Roger Stone was complaining about his house being raided and someone said this is what POC face everyday when they deal with the police. The white privilege in his complaining makes me so angry. Now he is saying he is being treated worse than Osama Bin Laden and how dare they come to his house in such a manner to scare his wife and dogs.
Clearly this is sentiment is coming straight out of 1950s and 1960s America where everyone wore suits and was "polite" to each other. What a freaking prick. I hope he goes to jail till he is dead.

I am as lily-white and "of European descent" as one can get and I've never once felt shamed for it. White privilege is the fact that *no one gives a shit* about my skin color - or yours, Stevy. Now shut up and go away.

They knocked at his door at 6 am. They didn't bust it down, they didn't throw his ass on the floor, they allowed him to change clothes before being taken into custody.
From my vast experience of watching Cops, MOST people don't even get to put shoes on
ETA: He was also released on signature bond, he didn't have to sit in a cell waiting for his family to scrape together 500 bucks for a 5k bond. He's allowed to roam all over Florida with out an ankle bracelet.etc. so he can fuckrightoff

"Worse than Osama bin Laden?"
How is how you were treated worse than getting shot and your corpse thrown in the ocean and all that after a global manhunt, Roger? I'll wait.
Don't get me wrong; bin Laden needed to face justice for his crimes. I am rolling my eyes hard at Stone.
