Hi! I’m lacking good sleep these days. We’re just hanging out this AM. M2’s eye still looks bad and we’ve been on the eye drops since Thursday. I’ve been following the instructions on the prescription, but just googled and found multiple sources that said the first two days to put the drops more frequently. He seems to be in a miserable mood, too, so we’ll be home bound except for a Costco run. I need a rotisserie chicken.
All I have on the agenda is meal prep for the week. No gym because of the eye situation. I may try to workout here during his nap.

I have actually never gone skiing, I asked DH to teach me when we first started dating and almost 12 years later he still hasn’t. I actually want to learn snowboarding but I’m afraid I am not coordinated enough for that.

I actually want to learn snowboarding but I’m afraid I am not coordinated enough for that. Snowboarding is easier than skiing to learn. I'm tempted to get one of those training ones for E for our backyard but maybe next year |

I was in high school at the time (so in much better shape) but every muscle in my body aches for a good week after. |

C ended up snowboarding and he LOVES it! They're having lunch and going out again. I have a feeling he will be asking to go alllll the time!

I was in high school at the time (so in much better shape) but every muscle in my body aches for a good week after. This is me! I went skiing once in elementary school and snowboarding once in college. I was TERRIBLE. And, ow. |

I’ve never been skiing or snowboarding and have no desire to either. I seriously think I would break every single bone in my body.
My sister tells me the kids at daycare in Norway show up on skis from the moment they can walk, one year olds on skis 😍😍😍.

I sent a text to my friend group and told them we should plan a ski trip for next winter. We’ll see if it comes to fruition. Most people sounded into it.

lahdeedah I need a new rain jacket, too! The lining of my ancient North Face has disintegrated. What kind did you end up with? I also did no-spend January and have done pretty well. Both kids legit needed new jeans but I had rewards to use at Gap so that wasn’t too bad, and I did get C a raincoat and pre-order her Easter dress to make sure I got the size I needed. But otherwise, nada. My biggest win has probably been staying out of Target 😁

Bowling was fun...all the kids had a good time and C actually won one of the games, lol. We went out for lunch afterward. Nice little outing and it was good catching up with our friends.
Back home now; DH took B to sign up for a basketball class he’s going to do thru the parks/rec center, and C and I are watching Paw Patrol.

Re: skiing, it’s been awhile. I kind of enjoy it but heights terrify me so I’m fighting the urge to vomit the entire time. I was adequate but will never be great.
My sister had a really bad ski accident as a kid so that colors my perception a bit, but I’d like for my kids to learn. I think we might do Christmas in Maine next year and got one of the ski areas up there.

I did ski club in high school but haven’t been on skis in about 10 years and have developed a fear of heights so I’m not sure I would enjoy it. Dh snowboards and wants to take C this winter. He will probably love it. I tried snowboarding once and spent most of the day on my ass or face first in the snow.

I like it, but wanted something more casual for work or sports outings. I’ll have to check out those that you mentioned. If I find something else I like more before the return by date, I would return. |

Omg you guys didn’t warn me about a star is born. I bawled at the end. So sad! It was a great movie. It’s funny because my sister told me before we went in that people cried at this movie and I told her I never cry during movies. Jokes on me.

I shopped at 3 grocery stores, spent what seems like a million dollars on food; the fridge, freezer and pantry are packed full, meal prepped for lunches for all four of us, and yet we order pizza for Sunday night dinner. Makes zero sense. we do this all the time...it's like my brain can only handle so much food in one day. By the time the groceries are bought and put away I'm sick of thinking about it  |

Disciplining J is putting tension on me and A. We can not agree on the right way or how much. He wants to go to the extreme on every thing and its driving me batty. Can not wait for him to go to work tomorrow.

My good friend who is O’s kindergarten best friend’s mom just dropped the bomb on me today that she and her H are getting a divorce. I was shocked. I like both her and her H. Actually i hang out with her H a lot because we carpool to swim lessons. I feel really weird, like it’s happening to me or something. It’ll obviously affect our friend group and we’ll end up picking a side (especially if they aren’t amicable/dont want to see each other). I’m just shocked and sad, and i guess feeling slightly selfish too. It’s the pits.
