Yes, twisting them was my issue! I got my ears pierced when I was 7 and we weren’t great at twisting the back. My skin grew over the backs of the earrings and my mom took me to the ER (which seems like an over reaction) where they basically ripped them out with with a pliers. I was traumatized. omg, I almost threw up reading that. Sorry, Caroline, you're now waiting til you're 25. My mom made me wait until I was 14, at that point I had glasses and braces and felt like adding earrings would make me look like a hardware store. So I never got my ears pierced. |

Hi Ladies! It is super icy here, and I tried to take Ferris, Bea and Theo for a walk after lunch, but we were all slipping all over the place. Cut that short and did driveway sledding and threw the frisbee in the snow for the pup. Now everyone is napping and it's quiet.
Yesterday's ice skating party was a success! H has a million skates, so people who don't have their own got to give it a try. I was slightly miffed because we invited this group of neighbors who we often hang out with and a few responded that they were coming and then none of them showed. I will take full onus that not all of them are my favorite, so I sort of reluctantly invited them because they kind of have to be invited as a group. However, we go to all their things and like, just say you can't make it? I would have invited more of our other friends in that case, but I was afraid we would be really packed if too many people came. That stuff drives me nuts, and I am probably an over communicator when it comes to RSVPing other people's things.

Oh man dapostrophe the not RSVPing is bad enough but saying yes and then no-showing really grinds my gears. I’m sorry. Sounds like it was a great time, though—they missed out! Eta: this has happened to us before but most recently last spring when I held my dinner party for the other wardroom spouses. A woman didn’t show after accepting the invite, never gave any explanation or apology. It’s a small group so her absence was noticed. This isn’t the old-school military where a woman’s actions can be detrimental to her husband’s career, but I still don’t think it’s a great look. Plus it’s plain rude🤷🏻♀️ |

Finally checking in. Colin had a 2 hour delay so I took Chase into daycare and then worked from home for a few hours before dropping Colin off at school. I save use $20 each time there's a delay and I keep him home, so as long as I can swing it with my schedule, it's worth it seeing as they give out delays like candy. Anyhow I drove into work afterwards, which I hadn't originally planned to do, but it was for the best. I've been so busy!
I have to move desks this week at work - I haven't moved in years. I'm not particularly attached to where I sit and I'm moving next to the only person in this office who I directly work with, so I'm cool with it. You'd think they were asking people to sell their souls to the devil based on the response around here. Yeesh...
Tomorrow's supposed to get to about 40F - heat wave!!

joelies When we moved floors in the same building last March, people lost their damn minds! Then in the elevator, everyone went from 'weather chit chat' to 'do you like your new space', my answer was always, 'well it's just a cubicle that i dont own so, I'm good'. SMH

LSS, the pedi doesn’t think it is any type of IBD or food allergy. Based on the fact of when it occurs, the upper GI and the lack of blood in her stools. She said she was happy to order lab work to confirm somethings though.
Tomorrow she will call the GI and see what labs they would recommend and ask see if she can get the appt moved up.

Yikes, slenle!!! I really haven't thought much about L getting her ears pierced. She hasn't asked and I don't love the look on babies/toddlers. My mom always told us 7 and we needed to care for them ourselves... L is super girlie, so I imagine she'll want it once she realizes it's an option. We'll see! |

He tested negative for everything. Not dehydrated, doesn’t think it is constipation, so no answers. She said just to make sure we push fluids and soups if he will eat them. As soon as we left, I had the bright idea to get Italian ice and after he took a few bites, puked. 😖 I was ready with a bag, so I don’t have to clean the car seat, but this blows man.
I don’t think it’s Norovirus. Doesn’t it have to come from both ends to be that? Of course i didn’t think about that until after we left. I may have to call my SIL to consult with her.

peachsmama I make the same dip as flamingo suggested and i add pickled jalapeños in there then once it’s cooked I top with diced avocado. So yummy.

I would be a little disgruntled if I was asked to move at work but I'm in an office and I would probably be asked to move to a cubicle. And my office mate works from home 4/5 days. I'm spoiled
