Because that's what I hear we're in for. What's going on this weekend? And what have I missed this week?

I know I've been MIA all week but I'm starting with a rant. Feel free to skip.
This was a rough week to be away from home. I found out - smack in the middle of the work day, on Monday no less - that my parents stumbled on my sister's husband's s.o. registry record. We obviously knew about the record but we now know that my sister knew the whole time. Like, found out within a few weeks of meeting him and continued with a relationship. I really didn't think there was any possibility that she would have us bring our kids around that monster knowingly, but clearly I was very wrong. She also tried to deny the whole thing when my Dad confronted her, then lied about the details (which are public!), and again did her best to downplay the whole thing when forced by my Dad to tell me.
I told my parents that we found out last month and they seem to understand why we were keeping a lid on it. And that we assumed she had no clue. My Dad is furious and my poor Mom is heartbroken, convinced it's her fault that her daughter lacks a moral compass. I spent a lot of time reminding her of what a great Mom she's always been, but what else can I do? No one is sure how to proceed and I'm suddenly grateful that my parents are moving away in a couple months. I'm more in shock now than when we first found the damn record.
So yeah, that was my week...

Thanks nam2013. At least I got home in decent time last night so the boys were still up. I can't stop hugging them and DH.

That's tough joelies, I know dealing with her drama has always been hard. Fx this move is good for your parents to put distance between her. She has kids, right. Is there a need to remove them from the situation? It's hard as a parent not to blame yourself or feel guilty. I wish there was an easy way to reassure your mother it's not her fault.

I’m sorry joelies. I hope your trip was otherwise successful. I’m still a hot mess today of engorged boobs and worst period ever but I’m taking DD and T to see Mary Poppins to get out before the storm. DS had 2 games back to back tonight at rinks a mile apart but the later of them has been canceled. Waiting on the other one. DD’s gymnastics meet in NY tomorrow is not being canceled even in if both states call a state of emergency. The host has suggested we get hotel rooms. That would require getting there today before the storm and planning to stay until Monday. The suggested hotels are still almost a mile away. They are calling them walkable but I’m not walking on ice with my kid in a leotard so we are sadly probably not going.

Enjoy the movie

Sunny41 - No she has no kids, thankfully. He does have grandkids who are in and out regularly. They even babysit, which has always made me uncomfortable because they're just super unreliable people. Now it makes me feel ill. Yes wedding, in a way I'm glad everything is out (though I assume she hasn't told our brother). It was really stressful the first few days, I felt physically drained. But now that I'm home, I am just angry.

That's insane kim22. They need to suck it up and cancel. I never understand winter events not having contingency plans.

Mh took Cadence to gymnastics, so I'm still laying in bed. I'll get up eventually since I still have to take her to swim.

Morning. We had a nice date night last night. We saw instant family which we both thought was cute. Even made me cry a couple times.
Now Dh is working on projects so I’m about to take the kids to the store to buy presents for birthday parties. We have a sitter coming again later tonight so we can head to an event that we bought raffle tickets for. Fingers crossed we win!

I ran out by myself this morning to pick up something I forgot yesterday, and I stopped for a cup of coffee. The store wasn’t as crazy as I thought it might be so it was a relaxing morning. We’re home now just waiting for the snowfall. We might try and take the kids to the library before it starts so we have some new books to keep us busy here.

MH is out shoveling with the kids while I eat an egg roll and watch million little things. The best. I want A to wake up so i can play with him.

Morning. We had open house at school today, it was long and not that busy unfortunately. We took the kids to the beach this afternoon, it was sooo cold, but they had a blast! Now trying to figure out diner, I can’t think of anything 😖.

The boys did some crafts and now I'm just waiting for lunch time so I can put them down for naps after. I'm going to get my nails done while they nap.

Morning! Out running errands solo; DH took the kids to the playground since the weather later today and the rest of the weekend is going to be foul. No snow, thankfully, but super cold and rainy. joelies I’m sorry for what your family is dealing with. I would be angry, too. slenle We enjoyed Instant Family, as well! kim22 that’s crazy about the meet still being held, sorry she has to miss it.

Moving the lego table to the living room is the best thing for lazy Saturday mornings! E plays with it so much and I get to drink my coffee in peace.

The guy that redid our bathroom is coming over to give us some quotes on a few things we need done around the house. Hopefully we can coordinate it with the house re-pipe.
Super exciting adult stuff over here. Sometimes I don’t feel old enough to be making these decisions.

Morning!
M2 did not sleep in. We are expecting rain for most of the day so I got them out early to play outside a bit. We went out to a few stores and on the way back home. Not much else planned for the rest of the day. I’m attempting egg roll in a bowl for dinner tonight, so I hope that turns out well.

Morning! joelies what a shitty situation for you all. I missed your original post, so Im not sure what hes on the registry for, but I'm glad you all at least know. H had been looking at tix for the playoff game all week. I started looking last night. Arrowhead is crazy...the only decent section where there are limited people is the middle section, and the most expensive seats. So we were both looking this morning and ended up buying in the middle section. Im super excited, but questioning this from a financial perspective, it was stupid. With the Chiefs, this is truly a once in a lifetime experience.

M puked as soon as we pulled in the garage. I took M2 inside and got him out of the car and cleaned the car seat. He had to go to the bathroom right after. I really hope it’s a one off. He’s fine and playing now. 🤞🏽
