Another book? OMFG. I read all three because I HATE myself. He was awful. So much whining. "My back hurts! The elf won't love me! I'm a whiney friendzoned bitch!" Lol. There were already 4. There will be a 5th and then a 6th. Is he still bitching about his back?

I hate the character of Harry Potter. angst, angst, angst. Which makes sense- he's a teenage boy...but his whining! And obviously he knows more than any adult ever! It just became so annoying. That's one reason I like Fantastic Beasts- I was so over kids in the wizarding world and ready to see stories focusing on adult characters. I also hated the kids in the Jurassic Park movie...maybe I just really hate kids in movies? I can agree with this. I like that Harry Potter is geared more for adults now with the Fb series. And heck yes with the Jurassic kids. They were so frustrating. That’s why the velociraptors were chasing them. Lol Tangent, but I wish there was better FB fanfic. Also the costumes in the most recent movie were AMAZING.

Oh for fucks sake. He is seriously the essence of whiney male geek. Like I can't. If incels had an adventure book written about them it would be the Eragon series.

It's still a young story/fandom (even if it is an offshoot of HP). The first few years are always bumpy when it comes to fic.

I have mixed feelings about Prince/King Jonathon from Tamora Pierce's Tortall books. They lean more to the side of dislike than like.

He has that arrogance than can only come from being a Prince. He takes Alanna for granted. Like she will always be his. His proposal to her is kind of insulting. He does grow up eventually, but when we see him through the lens of Kel, he's still treating his people like a commodity. IDK. Like he's not a bad guy, but he's way too spoiled. He takes those around him for granted, and even keeps his own daughter out of knight training so that she's easier to marry off. I know he's human and has flaws, but he's not the hero of the story by any means.

Ted from How I met your mother. I can forgive Barney because even though he's gross, he's such a caricature that I don't take him seriously. I feel like Ted was meant to portray the "good guy" in comparison, and I cringe at the stuff he does on the show. YES! Ted is that show's Ross. Yes, I hate them both. Rachel should have never gotten off that fucking plane. Yes girl give up a career you busted your ass for and would have made you happy to settle for the guy you have dated on and off and will probably break up with again because he cant support your goals and will ultimately leave you unsatisfied.

His treatment of her when she was with the Bazhir was appalling. I didn't get it when I was a kid reading it but now I'm like holy fucking shit.

We were discussing it in the Tamora Pierce Fan FB group. It started as a "who's your favorite of Alanna's paramours?" and turned into a Jon talk. As if there's any question of George being the best.

This is making me realize it’s time for a reread! George was always the best, but I didn’t pick up on Jon’s faults when I was a teen. I can see how he isn’t great though, he’s made huge advances for women in the kingdom, but he’s still the first king undoing the Tortall patriarchy. He doesn’t have the political freedom in a medieval-like world to be as egalitarian as George. Not that that’s a real excuse.

I always assumed everyone's least favorite companions were Donna and Clara based on what I've heard out in the wild. Not a whovian though so I only watch with DH under duress I love Donna so so much. Her character arc is marvelous....and then its just sad. Not a Clara fan.

But the more I rewatch, the more I adore her. I also think she has one of the best overall seasons. Clara, I like sometimes. I loved the version of her in the Snowman episode. I liked her with 11, hated her with 12.

I didn’t like Buffy towards the later seasons. I seriously cannot watch the show after Dawn shows up. Can Not. I never liked Angel. Angel lost the Plot when Connor happened and then Cordelia had his baby that turned into a demon? I can't remember what happened, or care to, BECAUSE IT BECAME SO AWFUL. And Dawn is the worst.

Me too. I was team spike only because he was snarky and wasn’t afraid to tell her she was awful when she was. I don’t know if I liked them together, but their scenes were hot. I fucking love the musical episode. I know it's terrible. THE BEST THING THAT HAS HAPPENED TO TELEVISION EVER. . Don't care. I stopped watching Angel when Cordelia slept with Connor. FTFY
