It's 5 and R finally fell back asleep after about an hour. But now I can't go back to sleep. But lucky for you, I found this inflatable slide. Enjoy.

I never thought this day would get here. This week dragged on for some reason.
DH did drop off this morning. I ambitiously vacuumed the house with my extra time after they left. I am planning to give our dog a bath during my lunch break. I meant to do it last night but totally forgot.

So it's Friday & Friday means the whole camp gets to go swimming at our local pool place. I'm on high edge though because last year we opted not to send him but since then he's done some swim lessons & besides that he's not really going swimming per se. The place has a playground in about a foot & a half of water for little kids & then it gradually gets deep to a regular pool & then farther down is slides & stuff for much older kids. The deeper pool is roped off anyways so I'm sure the little kids will be instructed they're to stay at the playground. This is the playground that they call a splash pad lol *poof*
I was okay with everything before I remembered the whole my child wears glasses so him getting undressed & just tossing his stuff on a chair, etc. So we have a sturdy case his sports goggles come with that I have in his bag & I told him before you get in the water put your glasses in there with your bag, clothes, etc. This is your #1 responsibility. Let's come home with unbroken glasses so now I'm anxious about it. I think I'm gonna tell his group leader (hopefully I see her because they all just mosey around in the morning) could you please look out for him & his glasses & make sure they don't get broken/he keeps them with his stuff.

Damn NamasteBirches, I wish we had something like that around here. That looks like a nice little kiddie pool. I would definitely try to talk to the group leader or one of the camp counselors to ask them to help him out with his glasses. I would be worried they'd get broken too.

I would be worried they'd get broken too. after I dropped him in the gym where they do their morning check in with the director, I found her in the cafeteria with the sign in book. what's funny is I haven't signed him in all week. So I gave her a briefing & said please just look out for him. While I was leaving another mom was telling her that her kid has ear plugs in or something & some headband & instructions with that & made a joke about how the 4s & 5s must be a handful. No, your request sounds more complicated than mine, sorreh. My kid is just uber excited that he may get distracted. So anyways FX he comes home in one piece. LOL

& the pool place is pretty nice. I just feel like it's a little pricey. We don't go as often as we'd like because of it. It's $7/ea. What I don't like is there's not even a kid rate. Does that sound pricey or am I being cheap?

We are heading out of town tonight for a night away. I'm excited but dreading DD's behavior. She has been super whiny lately. I thought we were past this but I guess not. Those with older kids, when does it get better? She is 4.5 now.

Does that sound pricey or am I being cheap? I am not sure what to think of the cost as we have no comparable place around here. But it seems like a place for kids so the adults should get a discounted rate since they aren't the ones actually using the pool.

There is a regular pool as well next to the kid's area & those slides for adults/older kids but since we're with DS, we mostly hang out by the playground/"splash pad" anyways. Inside there's also pools & another small playground in water but during the summer, the outside area is the main attraction.

I am extremely angry. LinkedIn has to be the absolute worst company to do business with (from a B2B perspective). I have nothing but problems every time I contact them with questions about services that our recruiters use, that we (company) pay for. I always get the run around and complete non-answers from their support team. It pisses me off.
Here is the most recent issue. Tell me if I am being crazy... One of our recruiters had his account locked. No reason is given on the page that tells him it's locked. It only asks him to verify his identity. When he clicks the verify identity button, it then asks him to provide a passport, drivers license or other government issued identification.
Really...LinkedIn a social media site wants personally identifying information submitted through the website. It's totally uncalled for in my eyes.

NamasteBirches the town I used to live in had a handicap accessible pool and a separate baby pool with some sort of playground thing (I never really paid attention to it, I always brought my clients in wheelchairs so we used the big pool). It was $5, and that was in a really low COL area.

I'm probably being petty.

I just finished the movie Kidnap. Really good. Highly recommend. Good way to waste time while thinking about DS at the pool. They get back at the school at 12 so now I just have to wonder if he has all his stuff & if his glasses are in one piece.

If as a member I were asked to provide that information, I would close my account. I think it's Microsofts quest for world domination. I am starting to calm down about it now...though my call with our Rep later today should be interesting.

Does that sound pricey or am I being cheap? Pricey. The pools around here with nicer kid areas cost that much, too. We go to those pools once or twice a season. We're usually at the older, more limited pools with barely a kid area.
