How is everyone this morning?

We are expecting snow later this afternoon/overnight. I'm glad it's happening on the weekend. It's supposed to rain most of the day, then switch over, so a yucky day all around. I may go to get groceries on my lunch or on the way home, the grocery stores will be a mess because people lose their shit anytime we expect bad weather.

Sorry about the snow mwhip and others in its path...I think it's going to turn into mostly rain by the time it gets to us (fingers crossed, anyway)

SSDD here. DH will take B to preschool and I've got an exciting day planned of vacuuming the blinds! On the plus side, my new vacuum has an attachment that makes it about as easy as possible.

I do have an appointment at 3 for a cut/color so that will be nice

It started snowing here overnight. But we are also supposed to get some ice, so school is canceled and we are just hanging at the house today.

We're expecting 8in of snow starting at rush hour. We canceled sd coming this weekend and E is super sad about it. But yesterday I went and got a kid show shovel, new sled, and he got snow pants for xmas

You all are supposed to get it worse than us...they said slush-3" for us, so not a big deal.  Just more annoying than anything.

With the Chiefs playoff game tomorrow afternoon, I'm sure there will be lots of wrecks since the weather isn't going to stop people from going and drinking too much.

Did y'all see where Jayme Closs (the missing girl from Wisconsin) was found alive? Crazy! I haven't been following it too closely--seems like a lot longer than October when she went missing, I would have said summer.

I know there is a thread on GD, maybe I'll go peek over there.

It's a long thread over there, but interesting.  When I saw it on FB last night, GD and that thread was the first place I went.  I'm glad she was found alive, it will be interesting to see what details we get about what happened.  I'm glad she is safe.

Morning.

M2 was up at 530, an hour before my alarm was set. I tried what I could to get him back to sleep and no luck. Of course he falls asleep on the way back from dropping M off at school.

Getting ready for work. This is the first Friday I get off half day. So excited to have some time to myself every Friday. Sadly I have a few errands to run before I make it home. I wish I could come home and take a 4 hour nap before picking the boys up. Oh well.

Yes! When I saw the news on fb yesterday evening I went straight to the thread. There is some major sleuthing happening in there. I can’t believe she was found alive.

Morning. I woke up a couple of hours ago with my face literally squished between the girls’ faces. It drives me insane when they come into my bed. I might need to start locking my door. Anyways, that was super uncomfortable.

When I picked up the kids yesterday, H had fluid coming out of his ear again. He's been snotty for the past couple of days...again. I think we had 4 days of good health since the last sickness. I'm so fucking tired of this shit.

I try not to bitch too much about MH on here but we got in a huge fight this morning. My in laws are watching the kids tonight so I had been looking forward to some alone time but now I'm just pissed.

On a lighter note, our fight isn't that serious since it was about saline and the nose frida. But common damn sense would tell you to use the saline and snot sucker before using flonase. Like, WTF? He was arguing with me about it and I kept telling him the ENT says SALINE SALINE SALINE! So use the freaking saline. It's not that difficult.

He said when he comes home tomorrow from my in laws he'll probably have a sinus infection becuase his snot is a gross color. I tell him again, it will be a gross color in the morning because it's been sitting in his nose all night. He argued with me about that.

I had enough and told him since he knows so much about the medical field, he can take the kids to their doctor appts from now on and argue with the doctors regarding the medical advice they've been giving me the past 5 years.

What do you all do for lunch on weekends? My H hates sandwiches and leftovers...so it's usually go grab something, which I need to avoid. But I don't have any ideas of quick and easy ideas.

What do you end up grabbing out for lunch?

If we are out running errands, it usually ends up being Mexican, at a sit down type restaraunt.  If we are home and H doesn't like my lunch ideas, we run to Sonic, which he complains about as well.  

Believe me, there have been plenty of conversations about if someone would make suggestions, I would make them, but no one makes suggestions, just lots of bitching and loud sighs.

mwhip, at that point I would tell mh to feed himself. Usually Cadence and I are out and about so we get something, or we go home for sandwiches. If mh doesn't like what I'm making then he can feed himself. He usually offers to make us sandwiches, though, since I've already been up and taken Cadence to gymnastics and knows after lunch I'll need to take her to swim, he isn't about to ask me to do something else, but he'll accept if I offer.

mwhip, we often get takeout Friday nights so I order something I know I will have leftovers for lunch Saturday. We also go old school and make some Kraft Mac and cheese. Or we do a large breakfast and just snack. I loathe cooking, as we all know, so it's nothing impressive.

I'm making quesadillas tonight for dinner, per the 5 year olds request.  

klong11 There have been many times I make myself and Evie a sandwich and let him fend for himself.  Like, you're a grown ass man, figure it out for yourself if you have no suggestions.
