Yay, I’m so happy for your family! My sister has recently had a bunch of health problems and they were thinking MS. Her scan also came back clear. They now think her symptoms are related to MTHFR mutation which she and I both have. That is also related to B12 and the reason I had to take 3x the folic acid of a normal pregnant woman. If I get high homosystene (not sure of spelling of this) levels, it can cause numerological issues. B12 can control those. I wonder if your mom has that.

xolastunicornxo just wanted to make sure that your mom has seen a neurologist about this and not just general practitioner and an MRI. It sounds like lots of her history had been reviewed and there seems to he a hopeful plan. But I would definitely have her see a neurologist if at least to have an eval in her records to compare with if anything else were to come up.

I’m definitely aware we aren’t totally out of the woods yet, and if we don’t see improvements in the next month (we have a follow up in two weeks) I’ll be taking her to a neurologist at barrow!

She’s 75 so I know all these issues aren’t going to completely disappear and we need to be vigilant and on top of things. But I’m also so relieved things weren’t as bad/escalating-as quickly as we feared!
