I’m glad you know the issues lfig. What are their speculations on causes? They are still stumped on that. So still digging.

Also, the medication they gave her to do a light sedation for the nerve conduction test, is supposed to put her to sleep. 1 in 20 kids it doesn’t work on. I’ll give you one guess where S fell in that category 😬. But it did relax her enough she mostly tolerated the tests and they were still able to complete it. But seriously?! Of course she would be the 1 in 20. Nothing is simple with this kid!

lfig glad you guys are on your way home. I hope the dr find something quickly! Good luck tonight kim222.5 hours later, we finally left. Her urinalysis was good, no infection, we did a blood sugar test, just to rule out diabetes and it came back good. So pretty sure its Chemical Urethritis, or an irritation due to chemicals. She got new bath bombs for Christmas, which is about the same time this started, so no more bath bombs.

So we have to nix them also. Glad it wasn't a UTI or diabetes!! Hopefully she gets back to normal soon.

These new ones make the water super bright pink, so Im sure there is a lot of shit in them that isnt good for gentle areas. Why it didnt occur to me until 2 hours and a $30 copay later...no idea.

Don't feel bad lol I didn't connect Layla's bumps till just last night. She's used them before also but they were kids versions. She got some normal ones for Christmas. She's never had sensitive skin so I didn't even think about it.

tallb - Colin's pre-K graduation was the cutest thing ever. Of course I had taken the red eye back from CA the night before and had time for a quick shower before heading over. Between being emotional and being exhausted, I pretty much sobbed through the entire thing. Fortunately the teachers had boxes of tissues conveniently placed around the room, so apparently I wasn't the first unhinged parent they'd dealt with. Smart teacher move with the tissues! J was in the same class last year so we know what to expect...we do not stand a chance.

Is it a different brand? Different ingredients? What exactly is in a bath bomb? We had one once and O didn’t like it so i threw them away. I also don’t let Z take a bubble bath very often because I’m worried about infection. When i do, i use California baby bubble bath.

J was in the same class last year so we know what to expect...we do not stand a chance. Same. Last year half of S class graduated and half stayed for another year. So S participated in the graduation. I’m hoping they change it up a little bit. But it was super cute. And they did a video montage of all the kids w half pics we sent in and half pics they took throughout the year. Before it they sang a little song about their moms and said they had a present for us. Each kid ran to their mom with a little wrapped box. It was a travel size Kleenex. Super funny, but snart

We haven’t tried the bath bombs bc I worry w Bs sensitivitie skin. S loves a bubble bath but we stick to the babyganics bubbles just to be safe. And never when B is in the tub.

I did a bath bomb once for C and his skin immediately started getting bumpy. Never again.

It was Hello Kitty fortune cookies (they actually had fortunes in them, as the bomb dissolved, the fortune came out, she loved them) that I found at Target. I told her once she's all better, we can maybe use a bath bomb occasionally, but at the end of the bath and not sit in the water. I'm not really sure what's in them...I'm sure I could find some made with natural ingredients on Etsy or similar. The nurse we saw did also recommend to stay away from bubble baths as well, as the scents and soaps can cause infections/irritation.

H has used bath bombs a few different times without issue. She would be bummed if I told her she couldn’t do them anymore. snoopmommymom bath bombs usually have baking soda, citric acid, epsom salt, some sort of scent and some sort of color.

We've done the LOL charms in the bath and they are I guess technically a bath bomb. We do bath tabs that change the water color and those haven't had an effect, that I've noticed. She is also using Peppa Pig bath paint, so I don't end up using the bath water to wash her. She basically paints for 30 minutes and then I give her a shower.
Maybe you could still use the bath bombs, but then give her a good wash/rinse with the shower afterwards.

I use mostly burts bees and a Dutch baby brand for bath soap, but sometimes I buy a lush bath bomb for the kids. They’re all natural and I usually chop the into smaller pieces, so they’ll last a bit longer. I’ve never seen a reaction.

I'm glad that you found out what was causing E's pain mwhip, and it's a simple fix. We've used bath bombs from Rocky Mountain Soap Company and they are all natural, I dont use many cause they're expensive and definitely falls under the treat/luxury category. I've put them in at the end of the bath and B loves to just sit in it, he smells so delicious after. J, being the complete opposite kid, HATED it and was terrified of it rolling around almost touching her. I heard 'NO BATH BALLS' for 3 nights in a row.

Last night I stayed up too late watching Bad Times at the Old Royale. It was excellent. The best movie I've seen in a while. Great suspense. Lots of plot twists that kept me guessing. I highly recommend it. I wanted to see this one and then forgot about it, thanks for the reminder!
