What the hell is he talking about? My assumption is he is talking about Americans dying due to drugs and is claiming that 90 percent of those drugs come across the southern border.

What the hell is he talking about? Is this context supposed to be the heroin that comes from Mexico? 300 deaths a week from illegal drugs? Who fucking knows with him since he lacks context always. Eta: ditto enchanted....

There's a special on ABC right now about Monica and Bill. Many talking heads saying, "In the Me Too era, he wouldn't have been elected." Which... okay, in a perfect world, I agree, he was/is deeply flawed? But somehow the American people elected Trump in the 21st fucking century, so not sure that argument holds any water. And then I saw that Ann Coulter (!!!) is one of the talking heads they're giving airtime to, and nope-d on outta there. Can 👏 The media 👏 Find 👏 A new 👏 Topic ABC has been ticking me off lately

Can 👏 The media 👏 Find 👏 A new 👏 Topic The thing that kind of bothers me the most about this is that honestly I found Bill Clinton to be a pretty conservative president. He signed the 1996 telecommunications act which pretty much destroyed any chance that there would ever be any kind of check on corporate media control. To try to draw connections between him and the modern day democratic party just seems rather short-sighted. He really just isn't that relevant.

But also forgot to mention, that its coming across in 'legal' ways, thru ports of entry. Its not like people seeking asylum are muling heroin in their kids diapers and tossing it to everyone once they get to the border.

Mo Brooks OMG
Apparently only Obama excercised overreach. Because Syria However, its PERFECTLY FINE for 45 to build a wall with funds earmarked for disaster relief
Ooooooooooooookay
Also asked if the wall would stop all drugs Well no but it will stop some
Which is the OPPOSITE thought when it comes to gun control.
Well if we make stricter laws, then criminals will ignore.
But if we build a wall all the sudden 60% of drugs will no longer come in the country.

The FBI is making the case that the shutdown is a national security threat.
Not that 45 cares about actual national security.

The FBI is making the case that the shutdown is a national security threat. Not that 45 cares about actual national security. one of my favorite Twitter follows is ex-CIA and she made the excellent point that, while these programs giving free lunch or interest free loans to federal employees are really, really nice, a lot of IC officials can't take advantage of them bc they can't show their government ID's. So imagine being a CIA analyst. You're working without pay, the president is constantly attacking you and discrediting your work, and when people try to do nice things for you, you can't even take advantage of it. It is *critical* to our national security that we can attract and retain the best and brightest to work in our intelligence services. Trump is literally making us less safe.

Lindsey Graham really is the Jar Jar of the United States Senate. He keeps saying annoying nonsensical shit and nobody has any idea why he is there.

Lindsey Graham really is the Jar Jar of the United States Senate. He keeps saying annoying nonsensical shit and nobody has any idea why he is there. The South Carolina democratic party is starting a replace Lindsey fund. I think he will have a real challenger in the primary. One guy who challenged our current governor and forced a primary runoff has talked about running. However I hate him (John Warren). He's a smug son of a bitch and talks about how we need to have conservative reform. He's a businesman with no political experience. I can think of some Democrats I'd love to see take Lindsey's place but as we saw in the gubernatorial election, South Carolina voters are too stupid to vote for qualified candidates who work for their best interest.

He has been going to pick up trash and clean bathrooms, so there is good, but yeah. I don't understand the need to destroy trees or spray paint rocks, which is also happening.

I have a FFFC that I am not brave enough to share in the main thread, but I feel like you gals (and guy) might understand better. It's been weighing on me.
DD1 had a concert at school right before Christmas. All the parents and kids were jammed into a classroom. There was a mom right in front of me that was taking video and I could see that she was getting great video of DD1. After it was over, I asked her if she wouldn't mind sending me one of the videos. (as an aside, my gosh with the aggressive video taping- arms and phones out everywhere. Every stereotype you'd ever heard). The mom is Latina and actually communicating texting the video to me was a little difficult, but she figured it out (she had to get permission from her husband, which I thought was a little strange, but language barrier). She sent me one, but said if I wanted another we'd have to do it over FB or something because of the cost of data charges. And then I felt really horrible that I put this woman in awkward position because I didn't even consider that she might have some type of restricted data plan and it was actually costing her to send it to me, and she sent me one anyway. I know I need to release it, but it's been the most glaringly obvious example of me not taking into account my white privilege in a very long time, and I am embarrassed.
