Dd fever is coming down finally. Dh took ds swimming and I just turned in Netflix and heated a cup of coffee in the microwave because I was to lazy to make a fresh pot. The weather is lovely, so I think we’ll head out for a walk after DD’s nap.

I’m back to work today as well wineallthetime but LO doesn’t start school until Monday and my parents leave Saturday. I don’t want them to go. It’s been nice having the help.

It's raining. I think it's supposed to rain all day. So it is cold, wet, and dreary outside. I wish I were in bed.

Also back to work. I have already lost motivation and it's not even 10am! I bought movie tickets for our date night Saturday so that's productive in some way...

Tonight we have karate so it will be a busy one but I am looking forward to C getting back into it. We also start back up in Ninja classes on Sunday. C is psyched!

Morning. Back to the grind here as well. MH and M will be away until the weekend, so I’m looking forward to chill nights with M2. Still dreary here, too. I want the sun to come back! At least it’s in the 60s.

I just logged into the dc camera and literally said, "wtf is my daughter wearing?" I know they don't have to wear uniforms this week, but I clearly shouldn't have said "she can wear whatever"

He also keeps tucking her pants into her braces. No, no, no.

DH took B to school this morning and I almost did a cartwheel. C starts tomorrow since we added Thursdays...hallelujah, 2 mornings to myself!!

So far today I am doing laundry, and I need to get the guest room organized. That was 'Santa's workshop' (as my mom always called it) for the last month or so and it needs tidying. (Thankfully no guests on the horizon!)

eta: speaking of tidying, has anyone seen that Marie Kondo is going to have a show on Netflix? I'm intrigued.

flamingo I watched the 2 episodes about families with young kids last night. The first episode, the couple seemed kind of miserable and I felt the husband was a bit of a jerk. The second one was more relatable bc the wife keeps holding onto clothes and baby stuff bc they are considering a 3rd kid.

I like it though and it got mh to fold his clothes differently last night, we we will prog watch the rest. I need help with the sentimental stuff especially. I have such a hard time throwing that stuff out.

That has to be bunched up and uncomfortable for her! S only wears leggings so they are tight to her body and go under her braces. But if C is wearing regular pants/jeans I can imagine it’s quite uncomfortable!

They are leggings, but they are long on her, so they have to be rolled or they bunch. So still uncomfortable. I reminded her on Friday to pull them out and over, but she said she liked people to see the braces. So it may be her doing it.

I’m looking forward to it. I definitely have my own system for organizing and keeping everything minimalist and tidy, But I always welcome the new strategies.

Back at work. But with the shut down, I won’t have much to do.

We updated our email server over the holidays and now I’m missing emails. So I’ll spend some time on the phone with IT.

I have started doing dresses more with S. And using knee socks for the base layer of her braces. She HATES when I take her pants off for diaper changes and it’s quite the fight with lots of tears. I am certain it’s a sensory thing. But with a dress on she tolerates it and it’s 10 thousand times easier.

Kids are back at school. I'm at my desk. Post holidays are kind of a weird feeling, I have no idea what I was working on and need to get back in gear. Traffic was light due to the govt being closed and thankfully I went a different way than normal bc I forgot the zoo was closed, which we normally drive through. Then we has a long discussion about why it's closed and how the govt works.. hoping they figure this out asap

I wouldn't say we're minimalists at all, but I definitely try to be conscientious of purging, getting rid of things as we replace/outgrow/etc. Generally everything has a place. 

This house is tricky b/c we just don't have the kitchen storage that we need, and the storage we do have isn't super functional (super deep pantry where things get lost, for ex). I've tried to implement some different things to help but don't want to spend a fortune on more permanent solutions for obvious reasons. 

I watched the show trailer this morning and honestly I don't know how some of these people live in their homes. So. much. stuff. 

Lots of random thoughts today! I think I'm going to watch tallb!

This. It feels like I’ve been trying to purge and organize for weeks. I wish I had a few days to myself to knock it all out because the little by little is killing me, but I don’t have that time right now. I’ll do my best in this house for now and really try to start fresh in our next house this summer. But must purge as much as possible now because I am not moving all this shit to the next house.
