Just seeing this thread! I’m all over the place, too. My goals: -Drink a lot more water. I’m so bad at this. Some days I may have less than 8oz. 😬 -do an ab workout every night. Abs have never been my favorite and even though I go workout, I hardly do ab work. -be more present with the kids. I need to spend more quality time with them both. -purge, purge, purge. I’m realizing how my surroundings affect my moods and when I see there is so much to be done around the house, I’m paralyzed with not knowing where to start and then not much gets accomplished. So I want to get rid of a lot so it’s less I have to keep up with. With MH out of the house for a few months, it should help. -Save, save, save. Moving. Potential for months without a second income. Enough said. -I, too, wanted to do more date nights this year, but that will have to wait. I know there are a few more, but I’m drawing a blank now. I use the water drink reminder app. It is great for bugging me to drink and really kept my intake up. I record all liquid not just water Thanks. I’ll look it up. Today I kept a cup that holds about 20-25oz close by and told myself to drink. My goal is to drink two of those a day when at work.

I also don't like plain water so I keto a bunch of liquid flavor things at my desk. Il definitely drink more than if it was plain water.

- move in to the house - give birth (gotta give my self a freebie) - up my water intake dramatically and cut back on caffeine once the 1st trimester exhaustion wears off - make date night a priority - Be more present with A and the kids, I like to complain about him on his phone but I'm just as bad.. - build our savings - pay off the smaller of my student loans

It sounds like a few of us want to do some ab workouts. Maybe there’s a daily challenge we could do to motivate?
I’m also going to bring lunches starting next week. When I try to do this I always give myself a day or two out. I end up using them at the beginning of the week and then saying f it. So I’ll do it the whole week. My pants are a bit tight.

I would be up for a daily ab challenge! I also need to drink more water, I'm really embarrassed at how little I drink. I will look into that app, Sunny41, thanks!

Wean C and sleep train him (hopefully this month).
Decide whether or not I’m going back to work (I have no choice but to do this though, it’s go or resign). If I go back, slowly start my post grad classes that I said I would do while on leave.
Train my dog. She loves the 6 of us and she’s great in the house with us. She is a nervous wreck with anyone else or outside unless it’s our backyard.
Do one thing a month alone with each kid that doesn’t involve taking them to/watching them at a sporting event that they are participating in.
Learn to put on makeup like a grown up.
Learn to do DD’s hair and convince her to let me. It is easy to pick her out at gymnastics meets because she’s the only kid without a tight bun or a fancy braid.

We HAVE to sleep train C. We need to get her in her own room and sleeping through the night. It’s terrifying because she is not going to be pleased.
I want to lose ten more pounds, but I also want to be more gracious with myself and realize I’ve had four babies and my body is fine.
I want to be less snappy with dh and the kids. I have a short fuse with my temper and I’d like to not be so reactive.
I’d like to stick to drinking wine during the week and only have beer on the weekends.

And not just for having four kids, like straight up! Where would you even lose 10lbs from?!

Body issues are definitely something i have dealt with for a long time and it’s hard for me to be comfortable in my own skin.

Hmm I should think about this. I have started my line a day journal. I stopped mid year 2017, but I found it unpacking and wrote in it yesterday. I try to write a little anecdote of the kids to remember daily life.
Also less phone time More organization Get most of my masters done Socialize more
I should prob add some measurable aspects to them to hold myself accountable though.

Yes to daily ab challenge. I told myself I want to do 100 a day. Any variation of 5 sets of 20 or 4 sets of 25. About to do them now😩

I’m sticking with my Buti yoga and happy with what that’s doing for my abs, but I’m up to add on something else if we start a challenge.

mamabear is there an option to do it, but if it’s not working out, you can resume your regular schedule? Those decisions are hard, but the extra time at home may reduce the stress enough to to be worth it. I just confirmed that I will only work half days on Friday. It was supposed to be every other Friday off, but with Mh being gone now, I need to be able to pick the kids up on Friday, which is my day that I have to stay late if the schedule is behind. So our part time person picked up my Friday afternoons. So glad to have a few hours to do whatever before picking them up, especially since I will be single parenting a lot over the next few months. I do need to make all I can now to save up, but 4 hours/week will probably save a little of my sanity, so it’s worth it to me.
