Leap 10 suuuuucks. We still have 2 days left, but heโs still definitely in it. Mr. boss has a mind of his own now and itโs hard to redirect him now. We went to a childrenโs museum yesterday and he just wanted to hang out in this one room with music and laser lights. Which was fun, but did not want to spend all day in there. Screaming and melting down every time weโd try to go see something else.
Anyone have full on screaming kids? What do you do to stop it? Itโs constant now and for all the reasons. Ear piercing screams. I hate it.

@easilyunamused +1 to the ear piercing screams for everything. I ignore sometimes, but if I'm holding her and she's doing it, I say something quietly like "Ouch that hurts mommy's ears. You're angry. No screeching." It works..sometimes. Or I start whispering random things to her. She wants to listen, so she quiets down. Again, it works...sometimes.

kristyw, I try to just whisper to A as well, I just get so overwhelmed while Iโm public and feel like everyone is staring. jt2378, sorry M does this too! Whatโs up with these A17 babies?

+eleventy to the yelling. And obsession with playing with one thing. We will go to a museum or play space and he will not want to go all around, just stay in one area. I have given up on trying to redirect him lately bc then heโll have a tantrum ๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Also N had to leave a play date early yesterday bc apparently he hit the kid after the kid stole his toy. ๐ I am slightly mortified and slightly ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ I didnโt get the whole story from my nanny- only what dh related so Iโm curious what *actually* happened but it must have been legit if G made N leave ๐๐คฆ๐ปโโ๏ธ

addymac, one thing Iโve definitely noticed is kids are so handsy. I can not ever go anywhere with other children where A is not pushed down, hit, kicked or stepped on. Obviously the behavior needs to be corrected but itโs a automatic reaction for them. So strange to me. And I feel guilty because I loosely put my hand over As mouth when he started to scream yesterday while we were standing in line at the museum. I donโt think thatโs a good way to handle my situation. ๐ฌ

We have some screaming but not a ton. J does have a mind of his own now though and its hard to redirect him. He is throwing tantrums when he doesnt get his way. Thankfully this mostly happens at home. Hes pretty good when we are out.

Yeah my nanny said he actually seemed surprised with himself when he hit the kid lol. But that the other kid kept stealing the toys Noah wanted to play with sooo ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ Theyโll live. And have another play date next week lol

No one sleeps! Last night I was up with the inside on, had to leave my bed because J was snoring like a large man. Then my 2 yearold wakes up at 4:30 and wants to play. Wtf! I had just fallen asleep. The three of them are conspiring against us!

Toddler H went down nicely at 7:45, but then he woke up at 3:15 wailing. I changed him and tried to rock back to sleep but he wouldn't go, so I fed him. Then at 4:30, I put him down and dh got him when he wailed and couldn't get him down until 5:30. Yikes.

Hey guys. So my dh has a conference in New Mexico next week and DS (16mo) and I are going to join him for the trip. Weโll be hotel living from this Saturday til the following Sunday. Iโve never stayed in a hotel that long with DS and Iโm starting to get nervous about the food situation. Calm me down / help me prepare?
The hotel has a mini fridge and microwave but no kitchen/stove. I know I can buy his milk and yogurt and fruits there, will probably just be doing frequent store trips bc I assume the fridge is pretty small. And for meals weโll be eating out a lot. But I figure for breakfast I could make him his oatmeal and then nuke it in the microwave right? You can cook oatmeal that way too, not just ok the stovetop? I just get nervous bc weโve never really ordered him restaurant food before- weโve always taken his food from home when weโve eaten out. Weโve had him taste restaurant food and fed him some of it, so heโs not a stranger to it- ie, he looooves bbq food haha but I get nervous of the idea of him solely relying on restaurant food and not having a back up meal at home.
So I can just amazon ship packages of diapers and snacks to the hotel, right? Do I give the hotel a heads up? Do I include my room number on the amazon delivery address?
Also- how should I tackle lunch and dinner time when weโll be flying during that time? Buy in airport and feed on plane I guess??

addymac we buy the quaker oatmeals and microwave them for a minute. As for meals, we did a lot of eating out and take out when we were at a hotel. We would then eat at a table in the hotel lobby. Also, we could nit get j to sleep in the pack n play or the portable crin so he ended up napping and sleeping in the bed eith us but he slept amazingly well

addymac when we went to restaurants i just had J eat off our plates but i would order a side of fries or an apperizer i knew he would eat. I also always briught a baggie of cheerios and a mum mum just in case because he always snacks on thise. I would take something with you he could snack on but then let him try yiur foods. Ad for amazon, id just give the hotel a heads up you have a package coming and to hold it for you at the desk.
