I’m not going to lie, I loved lurking back in the high troll/drama days. That’s what really pulled me in to the whole thing, so much entertainment! What has kept me around is the friendships I’ve created since I started posting.

I almost left with the whole BLAD thing. I remember worrying about every single thing I posted getting attacked. The main thing I remember was anyone asking for advice or "this sound normal to you?" was met with WE'RE NOT DOCTORS DON'T YOU HAVE A DOCTOR?! It was obnoxious and mean. I'm glad I stuck it out.

Who was it that started showing up a year or so ago every couple months and giving us paragraphs of updates then leaving again for months and months?

I've always thought the "ask the pedi" retort for every.little.thing is over done. But the aggressiveness was over the top.

I know who you're talking about but can't recall her name. That always struck me as a bit strange!

I remember getting attacked for saying I left a party because one of my kids threw up but I let DH stay at the party. People were all “my husband would want to be there with my poor sick kid.” I was all like “I have 3 kids, if we all stayed home every time someone was sick, no one would leave the house ever.” Also, there was a conversation about how bathing a baby had to take at least 45 minutes. I thought I could bath myself, all the kids, and the dog in 45 minutes and wouldn’t the baby be freezing by then?

45 minutes to wash a baby?! I mean sometimes the boys take baths that long now but it's 5 minutes of washing and 40 minutes of splashing and playing.

I agree that the drama is what interested me as a lurker. I came out of lurkerdom the same time as trtlcrzy. That i remember.

I remember Kaymee, mostly because her accident was local and so bad. What a nightmare!!

There was a lot of mean girl stuff back in the day. I was around early on but never posted much personal because people were so quick to attack. The board got so much better with time.

This was why I remained in lurkerdom. I said one thing about advice I had taken and was met with the doctor shit. I wasn’t brave enough to post again until much later when I started following who was who and reading more threads MOTN while feeding.

Huh. I would have thought more of you were regulars back then. This surprises me. So who is still here now from that time?

I didn’t even lurk w regularity at first. I’d pop on here and there but mostly when I had a specific concern/question. So I missed 90 % of what you all are talking about

I do admit I love watching the drama when it unfolds in other places. But I don’t think I would like it if it happened at my ‘home base’.

I also would love to know what happened with lilac. She didn’t come around until TCF I think, but just vanished and we never heard from her again. I really hope nothing bad happened to her.

I liked her too! She kind of disappeared when we switched from TCF to HIH, if I am remembering correctly. She had a Caroline, too (not her N13) who was so cute.

It was a little before the transition. I remember tagging her a couple times after she disappeared there and she never came back.

I was around since the beginning. It's crazy how many changes we've gone through. I'm a sucker for the drama too but I prefer it to be in the hot mess style, not meanness.

I also really liked moosemom. She had one of the first N13ers early and he was huge. I think her older kid had CP if I’m remembering correctly.

I also saw tjhine(can’t think of her new name now) pop into GD a bit ago in a ring thread and I was surprised to see her. I didn’t think she lurked, just thought she got busy and didn’t check in like she used to.

Ok I have a fffc. I get... bothered? I don’t think that’s the right word. Maybe it just kinda makes me feel crappy when former regular posters post elsewhere and not here anymore. Like, if you just stop posting all together then fine, but if you are on gd or something it’s like why did you drop us for them? I’m not sure if I’m articulating myself well.
