We have a sitter coming and are going out tmrw night for an early NYE dinner to my favorite Italian place.
I think on the actual NYE we’ll have a little celebration with the kids, then DH is planning to do a scallops/filet meal he saw in Coastal Living. So just a relaxing night in.

What are your NYE plans? I don’t think we have a babysitter so maybe we’re looking at planning a date night in. I have to work at 5:30am on 1/1 so I’m going to bed around 8:30. Party animal.. Don't worry! Netflix has made plenty of countdowns for you so you don't have to miss out on the fun.  |

I never go out on NYE. We'll probably play board games and watch movies. The kids will probably have the willpower to stay up later than me. It's going to be a fruit and cheese plate kind of night.

Josie has requested a cocktail party for nye (mostly bc she loves cheese and olives) so we’ll do that, get some noise markers and hats and celebrate before bedtime. Then mh and I will order sushi and drink champagne. I can almost all but guarantee I’ll be asleep before midnight.

Hello all:
Yesterday was a blur, I went out during J’s nap to the mall to return and buy some new stuff then went tobogganing in the afternoon, it was a super fun time. I was spent at the end of the day and sat and just stared at the tv. This morning B requested we get a booster juice smoothie with the gift card that he got for Christmas, it was his ‘treat’.
While Julia naps, we’re just all on our devices taking some quiet time and even though I’ve told MH i dont wanna talk he keeps nattering at me. Shhhhhhhhh, just shhhhhhh.

No NYE plans. Neighbor is having a murder mystery thing that I was jazzed too think about going to but then I saw it was 20s dress. Nope. Most I would do is jeans and a nice sweater. I want to be comfy! But I'll be home in bed

Top golf was fun! We did have to wait almost 2 hours, but we grabbed lunch there and had a couple drinks so it went quick. We could only golf for an hour since we have to pick up the kids and it’s over 1.5 hour drive home.
It was sooo cold tho. This is the northern most Top Golf and today was their coldest day so far and they opened late due to machines being frozen so i think they have some kinks to work out. It’s a little tricky golfing in a winter coat, mittens and boots 😂

cagoldi I hope P feels better! For NYE we were invited to S BFF's house for an early party with another family from DC. Both other families have younger siblings of similar ages and the kids all play nicely together so it should be fun. Bonus is it's about 1/4 mile from our house! We will be home early to put the kids to be and then I will probably fall asleep on the couch! Like flamingo, we have a sitter tomorrow night and are going out somewhere. I don't know where yet, but it's been ages since we had a night out so I am looking forward to that.

We are going to my sister’s for NYE. It’s only 3 blocks away but it starts at 8 and we will have the kids so not sure how long we will last. We went last year even though I hadn’t planned to since C was a newborn and the kids were fine until there was a power outage and the house got cold. Big kids will be fine but C will be a monster. I forgot how hard one year olds are.

After I asked that, we were invited to a pool party by one of Pete’s HS friends. I asked if he’s trying to see everyone’s wife in a bikini because why on earth is it a good idea for that in January?
Brrrr.
And now I’m concerned P might have rotavirus like X did. Each time she got the vaccine, she threw it up immediately and this is looking an awful lot like when he got it. FX she isn’t sick for a month the way he was.

Well this thread had me twitching to clean; so I just spent the whole afternoon purging and cleaning. The trunk is full with donations to daycare, goodwill, a hand me down bag to our friends and a bag for the eco station. Feels so good!

We are going to my in laws tomorrow for another Christmas party but really it is basically a last goodbye to one of their dogs that has cancer. It was a swift diagnosis right after thanksgiving and a quick decline. It just hit C tonight and he is a basket case. All worried about everyone dying. It doesn’t help that their other dog is on her way out and Max isn’t long for this world. It’s going to be a rough few weeks.

Purging and vacuum lines give me a lot of happiness in life. My biggest complaint about my Dyson is it has never given me perfect vacuum lines. There is one wheel that makes the opposite mark on the carpet and this bugs me to no end. |

And sit up on they're own? I'm good" lol. I wish E would slow down on milestones. I want to savor everything and she wants to zoom through all of them. |
