And I promise I'm not a horrible parent for making her go to school. They made us pay for the whole week even though they were closed, so any day they are actually open I'm making her go so I get my money's worth! My daycare is closed, otherwise the kids would be there right now and I would be at work. |

Well, I lied. Evie left with SMIL and I left a few minutes after. Home Depot, Target, Old Navy, Bath and Body Works, the bank, Academy, home to drop that shit off, the vet, the small boutique in my town, then lunch and coffee with my mom...I'm finally sitting down to watch Bird Box.

Hi hi - was up early and at the aquarium by 9:40am with free passes through MH's office which was awesome. My sis was about 30 min late and N insisted on being carried along with my bag of water and snacks. So I'm spent after multiple hours of carrying of squirmy toddler around. Mh met us for lunch and now letting the kids rest in the car and heading to a friend from HS's house for a playdate. I legit haven't seen her since high school, but we reconnected on IG and she's in town with her kids.
We pay a monthly rate for DC and it's still closed. I'd def send them a few days if it was open..

MH is unmotivated to do house things over his break, and I’m all about it bc we don’t get that kind of time until the summer. We disagreed over it this morning, and I think he felt bad, so he took it upon himself to fix a few scratches in the front entryway. He used the wrong colored paint and now the wall needs to be repainted.

My antipasti christmas dinner went great. Everyone went home now (it’s 11 over here). Dh and I are clearing/cleaning the few things and then off to bed!  |

snoopmommymom yes! We bought two 8 feet natural planks, with the bark still on etc. & put them on pretty Italian tomato tins to elevate them. ETA and thank you!

Hi guys. We have had a lazy day. H still has a fever so pajamas it is. I made potato soup in the crockpot this morning and my house smells amazing. I can’t wait to eat it in half an hour. It snowed lightly all morning and then turned to rain in the afternoon. The roads are going to suck tomorrow. I think we are supposed to get more snow overnight too.

I wanted to say Merry belated Christmas to everyone. I hope it was wonderful and family drama was at a minimum. It was a relaxing day for us. I didn't even leave the house until the evening when we had Christmas tacos at my friend's.

Well no gym for me and I never got my alone time. After painting, The rest of my house was a mess and I needed to get it straightened up. I actually got quite a bit accomplished and MH worked on clearing some stuff out of the garage. Christmas stuff is put away and sadly, it feels good. My tree was taking up so much room that I couldn’t wait to get back.
Work in the AM so I have to get prepared for that.

We had a great Christmas yesterday. DH made the most amazing prime rib. The kids loved their gifts. Today was just cleaning up and grocery shopping. I took groceries to my friend with the sick kid. Her H now has the stomach bug on top of everything else. I’m glad I recommended my awesome pediatrician to her a few years ago. She said although he tested positive for strep, the doctor said she didn’t think that was right and sent them for more testing. They are hoping for remission by day 30 but even if that happens they are looking at 3 years of treatment.
Tonight DD has a friend sleeping over. They did face masks and nails and now they are playing with C. I know a lot of parents are anti sleep over but those were my best memories as a kid.

kim22 You're a great friend. I'm sure she appreciate everything so much. I'm good on sleep overs - at my house. But I doubt I'll ever let the boys sleep anywhere unless I know the family REALLY well..

All decorations are down except the outside lights. C cried and said he wanted to keep them up all year. He’s really just overtired. We went to my parents tonight for dinner with my brother and his boys and my mom was being super rude and I called her out on it. Not in front of Dh or the kids. I imagine I will pay for that for the next few years. She can really hold a grudge. I’m excited to go to work tomorrow just to get back into some semblance of a schedule. I’m jealous snoopmommymom. I want to book my flight but I still may be going to a conference for work that week and most tickets unless really expensive are non refundable. |

The boys had a blast at the trampoline park with DH's friend's kids. The daughter is a few months older than Colin and LOVES Chase, and her older brother is actually pretty nice to Colin and will play with him when his older cousin isn't around. Plus one of Col's school friends showed up, so they played together a lot too. All in all, it was a huge success, though Chase was so tired after 2 hours that he was falling all over himself.
I am heading to the office and I feel awful about sending the kids in tomorrow. They just want to stay home and play with their new toys. I'm hoping by next year that I can work from home with them here without it being too crazy, because I can't imagine I'll have an excess of time by the end of the year.

We had Christmas tacos at my sisters tonight also inthekitty! S has had way too much activity the last two days! Sensory overload tends to equal e seizures so it’s been kinda crazy. I got my hair chopped off today! It feels so good! I love a fresh cut! And it’s so short I will be forced to fix it and look like a human every day instead of the ponytail I typically do.  |

Another full day here. Lots of outdoor time so that was fun and the kids were exhausted tonight. I don’t think I ever need to eat again...so. Much. Food the last few days.
We head back home at o’dark thirty...ugh. Always so hard to leave here but just one year from now I’ll be calling our realtor to find a house! I can do this 😬
