So ICE is just dumping people in Greyhound stations now? I posted about this last night: ICE had left more than 400 migrants at the Greyhound Station in El Paso on Sunday and on Christmas Eve. Today, they dropped off an additional 500. The community was given no warning or time to prepare. t.co/WCiZsCtkOHI've seen some coverage of this and I think ICE was hoping El Paso would be pissed and help get people whipped up for the wall. Instead, it seems the city has stepped up big time taking care of these people. Fucking ICE, man. That was my first thought - they're trying to whip up a mob. I'm so relieved it isn't working.

I just saw that Barron stayed at MAL for Christmas when FLOTUS went back to DC. It made me so sad for him.

But...but why do they think JFK Jr would be one of them (aside from all of the other obvious questions)?

Looks like we may have shamed him into visiting troops. AF1 is on radar over eastern Europe Well he's so bored sitting around the White House with NOTHING to do. Might as well suck it up and go visit. Twist his arm why don't you.

And what power would he have (were he actually alive) to arrest people?

Hi and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate. Hope those that were sick are feeling better. We had a fun, festive day and my heart is full. I was definitely thinking of so many groups in need the past few days though. I’m going to spend some time this break working on my action goals for 2019. I think most critical to me right now is the situation at the border but it’s hard because there are so many issues that need attention and help. Maybe we can do a brainstorming thread on concrete actions for 2019 towards the end of the week.
I got my aunt Mrs Obama’s book and my uncle Shade and they both loved them. Plus my grandma already flipped through Shade and really enjoyed it.
I’m still shaking my head at the dumbass POTUS asking a 7 year old if he was a Santa believer. What a complete and utter moron.

He’s in Iraq.
This had to be planned weeks ago. My guess is about the time he didn’t go to the memorial in France.
And while I don’t begrudge a sitting president visiting troops at Xmas the fact that we’re in the middle of a shutdown makes me roll my eyes.

Well it turns out Melania went to Iraq with Trump. So I think their choices would be to bring Barron along or leave him with his siblings/nieces and nephews at MAL. I can see why they chose option 2.

It feels like more of a reason for him to go honestly, for propaganda reasons.

Either way, they still fucking suck.

My understanding is that these are people waiting for their court dates either for deportation or for asylum. They release them in large groups with no warning or arrangements. When in the past they used to be released with transportation plans and assistance to get to where they will be waiting. It is at best incompetence but I believe it is more sinister than that and is actually meant to sow chaos and problems (both for the migrants themselves just to make it harder for them and communities in which they are released to create backlash against the migrants). One of the FB groups I’m in posts immediate need wishlists that can get sent to the churches in the area that have to step up and house the recently released until they can arrange transportation. I don’t think it’s an accident they are doing this on a holiday week when many businesses are shut down, churches are busy, and volunteers are out of town. Oh and the gov’t is in a partial shutdown, so I’m sure that helps.

I’m never going to argue they don’t suck. 😂 But I still don’t get what the shutdown has to do with it.

According to Immigrant Families Together, who has a group of volunteers on the ground in El Paso, the people being released have not eaten in days and have no money on them. 😢
