I'm am sick of the daily headaches I'm getting now. Probably started around 11.5 weeks. I had some in early pregnancy that went away pretty quickly so I didn't think I would get anymore. Guess I was wrong.

Hi y'all!! Appointment was awesome, baby is growing right on schedule! Everything looked perfect! DD got to see the baby move on the ultrasound and it was the cutest thing she got so excited about it. I'm breathing a sigh of relief now!
Side note-- was SO nervous DD was going to have to go potty while I had an ultrasound stuck up inside me haha. Thankfully she went right before the dr came in to do the U/S hahaha

I'm trying to decide what I want for lunch. I wish Canada had jimmy johns ☹️ I'm craving a sub badly.
I'm also 10 weeks today. Yesterday at my checkup the doctor couldn't find the heartbeat which was a little distressing. She is definitely not sensitive to loss and her next statement was "well hopefully this doesn't end like the last time". Ummmm WUT. Whyyyy must you say something like that to me?!?! but I've been good at keeping the PGAL brain in check
Also took a personal day off tomorrow to get my hair done and just be in peace allllll alone. Cannot wait!

Cannot wait! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What I can't believe she would say that! If it makes you feel any better, we didn't hear DD's on the Doppler until I had an appt at 15 weeks (my dr just couldn't pick it up at the 12 week appt), and I specifically remember her saying we might not hear DS's at 12 weeks but she found it. She doesn't even bring it in the room until 12 week appts. (I understand that there's a different level of monitoring with loss patients and that theoretically you can hear the heartbeat that early, but just trying to reassure that it won't always happen!!). And she's been in practice longer than I've been alive and one of the most trusted drs in the city. So unless there's been some big medical advancement with fetal dopplers in the last 2.5 years, a comment like that just seems so uneccesary to me. Sorry she said that to you On the other topic, I am obsessed with pizza subs from Mr Sub lol. Have been since I was a kid, my mom got me hooked.

She said DS was 'squirmy' and he definitely has proven to be that way!

Full out sobbed over this guys. This is the nearest hospital to us and where my kids were born. After our first was a preemie, the stress of being a rural parent and thinking about finding city accommodations and leaving him behind, or travelling to the city daily to be with the new baby took up a lot of our energy while pregnant with DD. (And luckily, was a worry we never needed to act upon) Obviously it's something on our minds again, and this just makes thinking about that possibility so much easier. I was crying when I sent it to H and thought it was the hormones, but he said it made him emotional too.

This. My practice does a quick u/s until 12 weeks. They don't even try with the Doppler until after to avoid the unneeded stress of having a hard time locating it. Sorry for the dr's gruffness maddisonrose.

maddisonrose, my Dr doesn't even try the Doppler until 11 weeks. She said it's not sensitive enough. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk

dragonflyinn Yay! I'm glad your appointment went well maddisonrose WTF to your doctor?! Maybe I'm sensitive, but I would be pissed and complaining if my doctor said anything like that to me. I'd probably also complain until they agreed to do a quick ultrasound, but my PGAL brain is very much not in check when it comes to that. I'm definitely impressed that you were able to keep your cool! peachesncream how exciting, congratulations!

I was so thankful she did well. She thought it was fun & the doctor was really sweet & basically gave her a "checkup" too for fun.
