Last night, some posters noticed threads going missing in the old place. Panic and upset set in since not everyone had saved important posts (loss posts, birth stories, death of a parent posts, etc.) and it was assumed to be done by the admin over there.
It has since come to light that it was done by two of our global moderators (LED, definitelynotwallie) who had not been de-modded there. (The admin over there provided the screenshots from the security log.) They have since been stripped of their powers there and can no longer move the threads back, which means unless the admin does (unlikely), those threads are lost forever to the people who posted in them and people feel as if their trust has been broken.
Now we have to decide what to do. I know what my personal preference is, but I also do not want to make decisions without knowing the thoughts of the posters here who would be affected by these decisions.
The way I see it, there are three options.
1) Remove their moderator powers entirely.
2) Remove them as global moderators, but leave them as the moderators of the individual boards that voted them in.
3) Leave them as global moderators.
