I'm feeling so antsy! Wondering everyday if today is the day that little boy comes. The next couple weeks are going to drag if I keep playing this game lol The last few weeks can really mess with you! The waiting game is hard and gets you wondering if every little sensation means something. Hang in there mama—you’re so close!

I’m starting to wonder if this is a little bit of false labor. I’m having pain/tightening around my abdomen and back that comes and goes, but it’s irregular and feels like mild shooting pain more than crampy contractions. It’s early still (35+2) so I am not exactly hoping this progresses. I might try soaking in the tub to see if that helps it stop. I’ve never experienced labor without augmentation so I have no idea if maybe this is just how it starts and feel like such a newb! FWIW when I had a stomach bug last month I had LOTS of Braxton Hicks before I 🤢. it was freaking me out too. that probably doesn’t help...

Ok so my sister told me an insane story that I had to swear never to tell even DH... I'm going to respect that bc I know when the embarrassment wears off she'll eventually tell him but it's so hilarious I have to share here! Doesn't count bc you all don't know either of us right? Laughing at her made me pee my pants too. -_- ***TMI warning!!!*** Seriously it's a really raunchy accidental situation but you've been warned!! But so well worth the read if you can handle poo and embarrassment lol! She recently broke up with a long term bf but they're now in a comfortable spot of hanging out and hooking up now and again (hmph). He always wanted to mess around in his neighbors outdoor hot tub (has their permission to use it) so she agreed. They were naked, decide she'll try out the jet on her hooha, it's going great... Until the jet shoots painfully straight up her bum Like an enema. She freaks out and realizes it's making her poo so she plays it cool, catching her poop secretly in her hand, makes him get out first... Flings her poop into the bushes nearby then goes inside for a really uncomfortable pooping sesh. Insists to her ex that she didn't poo in the tub. Sneakily hides her poo under some mulch on her way out. She gets a text later, you didn't make it to the bathroom on time. So he had found another whole poop in the bottom of the tub that he couldn't reach with his arm, had to get back in and fish it out. She wakes up at 3am last night with horrific abdominal pain and vomiting, at first thought it was some crazy gas from the experience or something but as it got worse and she's writhing around on the floor in pain she's afraid she perforated her bowel or something. Her roommate takes her to the ER... She said she thinks it's appendicitis (mind you she's a brand new Dr and the roommate is a med student). Her pain is so intense the hospital puts her on morphine and fentanyl so they can do a CT. Turns out she has two kidney stones (unrelated to the incident last night). This is my sister who already has several shockingly embarrassing poop stories in her life, one involving an overnight train in China... Hope it brightens up your days as well as mine!

I don't really want this little guy dealing with the a holiday for his birthday if he doesn't have to just because i'm feeling impatient. If it was any other time of year I'd be trying all the tricks

I had painful and irregular contractions start with DS2 about 5 weeks before he showed up. They were great about progressing things, I guess, but actually made it harder to recognize when I was really in labor. But then, my laboring contractions were completely different between the boys. DS1 had awful back labor but was easily recognizable as labor. It took a few contractions with DS2 to realize what was happening because the pain and hardening never came up above my belly button, they were all really low and mostly in my butt and back. Butt labor may have been more painful than back labor, honestly.

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! I never know which day to really countdown to because my family always celebrates on Christmas Eve and H's family celebrates on Christmas Day.
In other news, my house is almost passably acceptable for hosting, at least, because it's family only today. I need to do laundry so badly 🤦♀️

Merry Christmas Eve!
Found out this morning that my nephew, who we were with this weekend, tested positive for the flu this morning. He had had the flu vx. I am due on Sunday. Cue breathing into a paper bag. I have a call into the pedi to see what to do for ds1 &2 (playing directly with him). My doctor is prescribing Tamiflu preventatively for me. Fingers crossed our flu vaccines work and I don't end up having a newborn and the flu in our house.

Is anyone else not sleeping at all? I am lucky if I get 2 or 3 hours a night sometimes. And MH is generally supportive but he does not get how it feels to be pregnant. Weekends and my days off he wants to go go go and be doing things. I think I could manage a lot better if I got to take a nap but I rarely do because of him. I don’t think he understands I am worn out and walking too much hurts.

And lately my belly has been hurting, I think because it's so big and heavy, my muscles are sore! I am also not a napper.

strawberrykiki Pregsomnia has been real for me too. Sometimes for the peeing but more often for everything hurting (heavy abdomen, hips, head). I'm sorry YH is so gungho to do stuff and making it hard for you to get the rest you need. I wonder if he thinks he's helping to encourage you to get out and about and have fun, and doesn't realize that it's really just physical exhaustion and a need for rest! I have to sit and put my feet up after every little thing - unload dishwasher, take a rest. Make the bed, take sit for a bit. Run a load of laundry to the basement, take a little nap. It's slow and unproductive and I start feeling lazy/guilty/stir-crazy but it really is necessary! Third tri is like first tri all over again with less nausea and more discomforts. DH is starting to realize that doing little things for me make a big difference. Maybe you can give YH ideas of what you are and aren't up to? I got some good ideas earlier on by reading online about date ideas when you're on bedrest!

My aunt asked me tonight who was going to watch the boys while I was in the hospital. I said well hopefully my mom (she was also standing right there). Then my aunt said “YH isn’t going to stay the night at the hospital is he?” “Uhh yeah he was planning on it”. then my aunt said “I’m just not into that. MH didn’t stay with me in the hospital.” (40 years ago 🙄). then my mom proceeds to say she’s not into it either. I replied with “I’m pretty sure MH wants to stay.” and walked away. It was awkward and really got under my skin.

k, I'd be pissed. I'm thankful my family isn't like that! Woke up with some awful nausea and back pain. Tried going to the bathroom and the nausea is driving me crazy! I have no idea what did it but I'm so over it.

Love tits for sympathy! Who knew there are so many ways to suffer in third trimester?!
Wishing all a merry Christmas with yummy things we can eat without consequence, time to rest and relax, healthy kiddos, and support and understanding from partners and family!

I'm feeling off today and it may just be the results of throwing up last night or maybe it's just a sinus issue. Idk. Pretty over it.

So MH hit a deer on the way home this evening. I’m pretty sure our vehicle is totaled. The air bags didn’t deploy but we were going 50-55mph and the grill, radiator, left headlight and bumper were all busted. The deer only came up on the hood for a second before going under and I’m super thankful it didn’t hit/break the windshield. We’re all fine, just a little shooken up. This was about 2.5 hours ago and I’m feeling fine, the baby has been moving a lot like usual and no bleeding or anything weird so I haven’t called my OB. My back is a bit sore but that’s probably from tensing up as he hit it. I’ve had a few BH but that’s not out of the norm for me at all. I plan to call tomorrow morning. My regular check up appointment is the 27th but being 32 weeks I’m thinking they may want to check me tomorrow to be sure? Really upset we’re going to have a car payment again if it is totaled. Both vehicles are paid off and the one we were driving tonight was the better of the two 😞

cch, I'm so glad you guys are ok! I'm more like you in that if everything felt ok, I'd wait until morning to call about it but H would be freaking out and have me at the hospital whether I wanted to be there or not. I hope your insurance check, if they total it, is enough to cover most if not all of a similar quality vehicle. When we're done paying on Traverse, I'm done having a car payment until absolutely necessary. It's the only one we have ever had a payment on and it suuuccckks.

I just called the after hours line. My OB is on call tonight and I should be getting a call back in the next half hour or so. Baby girl is moving around like crazy, maybe more than usual and while I feel like everything is perfectly fine, I just think I’d feel better after hearing what my doctor has to say. I hope I don’t have to go in at almost 11pm when MH has to get up for work at 5:30 and DD is asleep but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

@amc We’re doing good. Thanks for asking. My OB called back at 2am. She said she just just got the message and that she’s glad I called but as long as baby was moving around like normal and there’s no bleeding or additional pain and cramping that I didn’t need to come in. If the air bags deployed she would have told me to come in but since it wasn’t a bad accident that I didn’t have to. She said if I feel off at all or just want to be checked that I could come in for a NST today. I’m considering going for peace of mind but we’ll see how I feel in the next hour or two. I’ve been on the phone with insurance most of the morning and should know if we will be having the car fixed or totaled by early next week.

cch that sounds so frightening. When we were on our road trip we played deer or reflector to Wyoming. We almost hit a few deer on that road trip. They come out of no where! I'm so glad everyone was ok! But so sorry you are stuck dealing with the after math.

cch glad you are okay. How scary! Hope everyone had a good Christmas. Ours was good but also very busy and I'm exhausted. The kids were so much fun to watch opening gifts and my entire family (4 sisters+spouses+kids+my parents) were all over for Christmas dinner. AFM I'm in a really bad head space right now. I'm having tons of anxiety and i just cant shake the feeling that something is going to happen to this baby and I'm not going to get to take her home. I can't sleep some nights I worry so much. I'm not normally an anxious or emotional person but I just can't keep it together these days. I had another NST today and they couldn't find her heartbeat for several minutes. Then it was a little low. Then she wasn't having the variations they wanted. Then they lost her again. I could feel her moving some so I knew she was okay but rationally I couldn't accept that. I got really worked up and scared and upset. They ended up doing a BPP ultrasound and she looked just fine. Heart rate still in the 120s but otherwise good. I just feel like I can't deal with this for the next 4-6w but I also don't want her to come too early. The OB I saw today is my least favorite and he was basically just like why are worried she looked fine on the scan. Easy for him to say. And he gave me the well it was probably picking your heart rate up or she was moving too much. Um no. My heart rate is 50. The 112 was not me. Hopefully she is really active the next few days or I am really going to stress out. I go back Monday and see my favorite OB and plan to have a long chat with him. Sorry for the dear diary. If you made it through that, you deserve a prize.
