I’ll be back. I have some more garland to do. I think I need to do some ornaments in the windows now! And immediately start calling my sunroom the morning room. lol! Not everyone calls them morning rooms? Is is just a regional thing?

Not everyone calls them morning rooms? Is is just a regional thing? I had to look it up. We have an appropriate room for it, I just always called it a sunroom. I never could figure out why the builders made a space for a table so close to the area made for the kitchen table.

My morning room is the only spot in the kitchen for a table. We have an island but that’s our only table.

We have a room that we call the sunroom. I don't really hear morning room all that much around here but it seems like they're the same thing. It's currently set up as a playroom.

Is the morning room like an eat-in kitchen? It's not an actual separate room, just a space in the kitchen for a table?

Ok, yes! I think that's the same thing. I don't think I've seen it called a morning room in these parts, but it's a way fancier name than eat in kitchen! So funny how different areas have different names for things like this.

Sunroom, pinky down. Morning room, pinky up. lol. I have heard of both. I’ve always thought they were two different things! TIL. ETA to clarify, I always thought a sun room was like an all season room or like a screened in porch with windows all around.

ETA to clarify, I always thought a sun room was like an all season room or like a screened in porch with windows all around. I’m honestly confused now and have no idea what I have. The morning sun does hit in there and there’s a table to eat and space for a seating set. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I just like the name morning room. It sounds fancy and like I know what I’m doing with my life. My actual kitchen table it useless. It’s like the space was there and they said voila! Hang a light there so they have to put a table under it! We eat 100% at the island.

Our sunroom is fully part of the house with heat, insulation and they even bumped out the basement below it. My brother has some type of screened in porch that is not useable for much in the winter because it's freezing in there. They might both be called a sunroom or they might have different names. No idea lol.

This is what we got so far. I still need to get something large for the mantle and an extension cord to plug in the garland. I also have some various things around the house like candles, floor mat, cookie jar, etc but I didn't take a picture of those yet. Attachment Deleted

Morning room as in ‘breakfast nook’ part of kitchen whereas sunroom is like a screened porch lol.

Also, I ordered a bunch of Christmas decoration last night and I've decided I'm going to do more lights outside this year. I'll probably hate myself for this on Sunday, but I'm finally catching some Christmas cheer and I need to spread it around!
