Weeks pregnant: 28!
Baby is the size of an: eggplant
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: pink 💗
Appointments: Growth U/S Wednesday. Can’t wait!
Symptoms: RLP when moving around at night, heartburn/acid reflux, out of breath easier
Milestones: 3rd trimester! Can’t believe it!
Rants/Raves/Vents: DD came down with a cold and decided to share it with the whole house so MH and I are both sick as well. I’ve been drowning myself with tea and honey and really hope we’re all feeling better soon.
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? We bought a new dryer on Friday after ours decided to stop working a few days ago. Good timing I guess (since we got a good deal on it) but it still sucks to drop a lot of money on appliances. Also got an outdoor rug for our back porch which I’ve been wanting for a while. I’ll probably check out the online deals today. Still need a rug for the nursery so hopefully I’ll find one for cheap!

Weeks pregnant: 34+2
Baby is the size of a: butternut squash
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Wednesday for a growth scan
Symptoms: I've been extra emotional lately, feeling Vinny kicking like crazy. I'm not peeing as much, but i'm going to knock on wood and enjoy the break. I'm only getting up once a night instead of every 2 hours.
Milestones: i'm feeling really happy that every day is another day he's cooking and getting closer to being born.
Rants/Raves/Vents: my H was with his parents this weekend and he comes home tonight. I really miss him. I'm hoping he'll get the lights on the house today or tomorrow depending on when he gets home. I got my Christmas village set up and other decor. It's starting to feel like Christmas at our house.
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? I did! I got a third gen echo dot and a smart plug for 29$ some new boots for $20 at Target and a gigantic dog stuffed animal for $10 for baby boy.

Weeks pregnant: 26+4 Baby is the size of a: Kale FTM/STM/TTM/etc: FTM Team: secret Appointments: passed GD test; growth scan next week Symptoms: heavy itchy tummy, shortness of breath, loose joints maybe? (keep turning my ankles). Steady weight gain (about .5 lb each of the last few weeks, feeling good about it!). Milestones: enjoyed our first hospital class this weekend, a baby care class! Rants/Raves/Vents: Have to show for jury duty tomorrow. Hoping OB was right and they'll reject me when I tell them about my high risk pregnancy issues, use the restroom every half hour, and generally make it clear that this is not a good time. She refused to send a letter excusing me from showing up because she said I'd be called again within 6 months, while showing up and being rejected counts as doing my duty and I'll be off the potential list for a couple years. This better work. I am scared sh*tless of being expected to sit in a courtroom for days. GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Yes! Been keeping an eye on our registry items and snagged a few on amazing deals. Finished all Christmas shopping during Black Friday Week deals. All online, not one to fight crowds. Definitely check out Amazon today if you need a stroller or car seat, there are a surprising variety of huge deals on those. Also made our annual Christmas donations purchase, this year we are giving to a local pregnancy center and it felt really special to shop for parents who might not have everything they need for their new LOs!

Weeks pregnant: 28 + 1
Baby is the size of a: Coconut
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Blue
Appointments: Checkup and glucose screening this afternoon
Symptoms: My pelvic girdle discomfort has miraculously improved! Not sure if LO changed positions or if yoga is helping or both, but I’m enjoying it while it lasts. Otherwise, I’m just ridiculously tired and heartburn is increasing. New this time around: I started leaking colostrum over the last week. So that’s fun.
Milestones: Hello, third tri! Am I happy to see you.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I keep getting stopped in my tracks by these thoughts that we’re completely insane to be having another child and how TF are we going to manage two littles and dear god what are we doing??? I know that everything will eventually fall into place, but I’m feeling pretty anxious right now.
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Yep! I bought a smaller vacuum to keep upstairs, and I ordered a few odds and ends for new babe while they’re on sale. The to-buy list is finally shrinking.

Weeks pregnant: 27w2d
Baby is the size of a: Cauliflower
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: Pink
Appointments: OB visit, growth scan and glucose screening on Thursday
Symptoms: Minimal pregnancy symptoms but feeling not great due to yet another cold
Milestones: Last few days of 2nd tri!
Rants/Raves/Vents: So I got another cold, while I was still congested from the previous one. I gave in and tried Sudafed per my OB... and it did nothing! Same with nasal spray. I've been sick for almost half this pregnancy so far. I get all my kid's germs like I have no immune system.
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? I got a few things. I bought a play kitchen, toy pots and pans, and kinetic sand for DD, a Fitbit for H, and some skincare stuff for myself. We may pull the trigger on a new washer as well if we find one we like at a particularly good price.

CharlieB, I'm definitely having those thoughts too. We had a particularly demanding week with DD last week (travel, illness, refusing fluids and so many meltdowns) and we're both panicking a little how we can deal with two of these...

Weeks pregnant: 35w 1d
Baby is the size of a: child's backpack
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: ttm
Team: boy
Appointments: this Friday
Symptoms: the nausea still, and now horrible acid reflux too. I'm quite uncomfortable/tire easily and it feels like he's trying to break my pelvis sometimes.
Milestones: I think I'll go to appts every week after this one 😮
Rants/Raves/Vents: I feel like I am on 400 medications. Still 4 diclegis per day now on Zantac, which isn't helping much. Tried Zofran when the nausea was really bad but it makes me really constipated. Asked nurse's line if I could take anything "better" and they suggested trying a bland diet first. I have been sick for 30 weeks - I eat whatever I can keep down! If it's still bad Friday I will ask my doctor.
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Yes, almost all online. Since I'm due in 5 weeks I feel like I need to be ready for Christmas early just in case he decides to arrive early. I've made a really good dent in Christmas shopping, plus we bought a new dryer.

Milestones: we put his crib up!
Rants/Raves/Vents: waiting for the results of my sugar test now but expecting the worst
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? I bought one pair or leggings for ten dollars online with free shipping! That was it!

CharlieB notagoddess add me to the ‘freaking out about having 2’ list. I almost started crying looking at our 3 stockings and thinking about how much everything is going to change. I worry all the time about how DD will handle sharing us.

For me, the transition from 0 kids to 1 kid was way harder than from 1 to 2 kids, although I do attribute some to undiagnosed PPA with ds1. We will see how going to 3 does 😮

Weeks pregnant: 32
Baby is the size of a: Florida pomelo or a squash 🤷🏻♀️
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: green
Appointments: Wednesday
Symptoms: all of them. Reflux, RLP, BH, shortness of breath, insomnia
Milestones:
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m feeling very uncomfortable and large. I think baby is planted right up under my ribs which is a new feeling for me. I have a long torso and definitely didn’t feel this uncomfortable the last two pregnancies. I’m trying to enjoy these last weeks, but omg how will i survive two more months like this?!
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Just some online shopping for random things. Nothing big. Still need to buy a few more baby things (monitor, sound machine, tub, diapers), but didn’t find any sales on those things.

Weeks pregnant: 28 tomorrow
Baby is the size of a: Eggplant
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Girl
Appointments: Friday for regular visit and growth scan
Symptoms: Reflux, low pelvic pain, moving slower
Milestones: Officially in 3rd trimester!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Still trying to adjust to this whole GD thing. My numbers aren't great so I'm trying to figure out what I can and can't eat. So hard to limit carbs and sugar this time of year!
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Not really. I got a couple of games for the kids and a pair of boots for myself but overall I didn't see any great deals.

For us, going from 1 to 2 was a piece of cake compared to 0 to 1. I did pretty well with 0-1. My DD was a happy baby and I was really ready to be a mom. There’s no way 1-2 will be as smooth 😬

CharlieB and notagoddess The jump from 1 to 2 can be rough at first, but from my experience, it gets easier as your baby becomes less needy and starts to try to catch up to their big sibling. There's a lot of tough phases, but there can also be times when it legitimately feels easier having two kids as compared to when I had one. 🤷♀️ I second all this. I do feel spoiled that DS1 was so in love with DS2 as a baby that he always helped out and also that DS2 was such an easy, laid back baby. Every now and then, I think of the chaos that my house is now but remind myself that stuff worked out fine with 2 and it calms my nerves.

Weeks pregnant: 27 +5
Baby is the size of a: Fennec Fox
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: PINK
Appointments: Ultrasound on Friday!
Symptoms: Mostly this SPD. Also tired and getting more and more uncomfortable.
Milestones: 3rd tri is this week and it blows my mind.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Well, I picked up a support belt and... I'm not sure how much it helps. But maybe I just need to give it more time. It's annoying at work because getting in and out of cars all the time makes the belt ride up and rub my skin so I think I need to pick up some more camisoles to keep that from happening.
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Unexpectedly, yes. Found a vacuum and mentioned to my mom we were going to buy it but she said they'd get it for us as our anniversary gift early. Also picked up an Echo dot for a gift for someone else and snagged a few Scentsy things I needed.

Weeks pregnant: 30 + 3
Baby is the size of a: platypus
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: STM
Team: GREEN
Appointments: tomorrow morning
Symptoms: feeling larger by the day, lots of BH, restless nights
Milestones: 30 weeks feels really real!!!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Rant- I’ve had a cold for a week, finally starting to turn a corner, but pregnancy sickness is the worst. Rave- I won a family photo shoot on Instagram! I’m so pumped. I wanted maternity pics, but am too cheap. Haha
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? I bought some Young Living Thieves cleaner and then splurged on a full price pair of Lululemon Align leggings (which are amazing!) I never splurge on myself, but I had a gift card and H encouraged me to treat myself.

Baby is the size of a: cauliflower/eggplant/cucumber(?!)/bike helmet(?!)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: TTM
Team: Pink
Appointments: Next week
Symptoms: Just achy, definitely moving like a pregnant woman. Not sure if I have my kid's cold or just allergies to the Christmas tree...
Milestones: Third tri is somewhere around here!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Still managing my diastasis recti far better than before, I'm really proud of myself for being so smart about things this time. Only took the third kid. *eye roll*
GTKY: Did you do any Black Friday/Cyber Monday shopping? Yup. I'm a shopper. A bunch of Boden for the boys and baby because it's my favorite, and a new infant car seat because our old one expired.
