Cool, coool, cool. The baby actually slept for a bit last night but now thinks 3:30 is morning and right now everything sucks. I’m sure she will go back to sleep just in time for her sister to wake up. No baby Mermaid. Not cool. Over here, 5am has become the wakeup time - for both kids and I would like Santa to bring me a hotel room all to myself until they knock that shit off My oldest was up at 5 this morning because he had to go pee. Then wanted to snuggle and chat and twirl my hair. Just as I thought he might be drifting back off the baby woke up. Neither napped (well or at all) and they were up past bedtime. Wtf children.

I’ve been up since 3:30. They kids tag teamed me. Only one will sleep at a time. This baby is so nice to me during the day. She’s like a Gremlin. Cute and fuzzy during the day, feed her after midnight and create a monster.

The baby was killing me with her sleep at night so I finally started sleep training her last night and she did surprisingly well. She only wokeup once and put herself back to sleep after 10 minutes of fussing and slept until 7 am. It took her a while to go down but I'm hoping tonight is better.
But now I'm working on a clogged duct from not feeding her overnight and I can't get it to unclog. It is rock hard and massaging helps for only so long and it goes back to hard. Nothing is coming out when I pump and I don't know what to do. I've never dealt with this before.

cp3 nurse as much as you can. Get in the shower and run hot water on it as hot as you can stand or hot wash cloths. I’m trying to think of what else I did to unclog mine but I’m drawing a blank.

I’m sorry for all the broken sleep. Tag teaming kids is so hard! whatsit I am glad you’re ok. Concussions are scary. Ds has been doing better, waking just once around 3am. He has another pair of ear infections though. $$ and no 💤 during the day. Plus the meds have made his tummy nasty. So much spit up again and diarrhea ... 🤢. Oh and we are getting snow tomorrow. Yahoo. Maybe the kids will want to play outside!

cp3 i hope the sleep keeps improving and the clog resolves asap! we had a few nights of only 1 wake up, so i thought we were headed in the right direction. nope. between h having a cough, the toddler and the baby i am struggling this week. we are going to a no kids wedding out of town tonight and as much as i’m looking forward to the sleep, i really want to skip the wedding and just stay at home. take a bath and read, have a glass of wine and watch a christmas movie and then be in bed by 9 and sleep until 7. i can’t get h on board with that plan (wedding is his family). oh and we are still refusing bottles/cups/etc 99% of the time. i am really trying not to freak out. once again, my mom is insisting it will be fine so im hoping for the best for her.

You are describing my exact feelings when we got a babysitter to go out for the night a couple months ago. It sounded like fun, but then I thought about how I’d much rather just stay home, chill in my PJs, and go to bed early. We ended up going out and it was fun, but I did think longingly of my bed several times throughout the night. And as tired as I was the next day, it was really nice to get out and do something.

cp3 +1 to nursing a bunch. I tried pumping and massaging a ton while I was at work, but nothing made a difference until I nursed and it was gone as soon as he finished.

cp3 of massaging and hot compresses don't help, you can get sunflower lecithin at the pharmacy and it helps a ton.

Baby shoes is being a right turd. He is waking 5-9 times a night and then up for the day at 5am. It is not going well him in with us plus he’s just popping his first two teeth and the snot is now giving him a post nasal drip night cough. Right now it’s 7:40am and he’s overdue for his first nap but won’t go down, just coughs and gets mega angry about it so he’s snuggled on my chest dozing and I’m searching for tooth picks to prop my eyes open I’m so tired.

DS1 has woken up in the middle of the night and ended up in my bed 3 or 4 times this week. This is new behavior for him. DS2 falls asleep easily but wakes up in the middle of the night screaming. He used too just make a few noises and then falll back to sleep, but now he won’t fall back to sleep it is so frustrating. He has cut 3 teeth in the last month and I think there is one more on the verge cutting through the gums so I am wonder if that has something to do with it.

Thanks ladies I have mostly been nursing her on that side and pumping the other. It seems to be resolved now. She has not needed to eat MOTN the past three nights and I wake up super engorged. I don't want to pump because I want my supply to adjust but I don't want to get another clogged duct.

I get irrationally annoyed when people don’t buy my stuff on FB BST pages. But then I stop and think... I don’t want this stuff, I should not be mad that other people don’t want random baskets and the ugly vase I bought 10 years ago. H and I have been going through our attic and garage trying to make some space. I just want to get rid of it alllll.
Also I just walked into L’s room to put away his clothes... while he was napping. 🤦🏼♀️ I just barged right in without a second thought. Thankfully he did not seem to notice.

I struggled with that the first few days after L was not nursing MOTN but it adjusted within a week for sure.
