Does anyone want to come fluff my tree? This is the worst part of decorating for Christmas, I always end up with scratched up arms and hands. I’m smartening up though and plan to wear long sleeves this year.

Are all of your N13 night trained? Ds still wears diaper pants at night. We limit drinking before bed, make him pee before and after bath time. He is so far gone I can literally change him, his bedding and/or give him a suppository without him waking up. I’m not to worried, just curious to see if he’s the only one. We stop drinks at 530. Josie uses the potty twice before bed, and she takes fiber supplements in case it’s a constipation issue, and she still wakes with a pretty full pull up. When I talk with her about it in the morning, she tells me she doesn’t have the urge to use the bathroom at night.

I guess Cadence is considered night trained. Her accidents are few and far between. She hadn't had one in forever until the other night.

We haven't had accidents in a long time but we wake him when we go to bed. He goes right back to sleep. We haven't skipped this step so not sure if he can make it through the night but his pullups were dry when he woke up in Hawaii each morning. If you want to transition I would recommend the wake up Eta. He doesn't get up and go on his own. He is usually awakened by the wetness when he has an accident so it isn't like he is awake and missing the sign.

T was in underwear then had a few accidents and was so upset he insisted on pull ups. Then I moved the baby in his room and the baby wakes up so easily that I could never change bedding without waking him so I let him wear the pull up. It’s dry 90% of the time and I do hear him get up and go to the bathroom sometimes during the night so I probably need to take away the pull ups.

Cass is night trained; accidents are very rare. Maddie actually has more nighttime accidents (they come in waves when it occurs) than Cass. Don't tell her I said that.

M is night trained. He has been since just after potty training. Once he finally decided he was ready it was all or nothing lol. To bad it took until 4 years old.. I had M wear a pull up to run to the grocery just in case he farted and it was more than anticipated.. You would have thought I made him drink from a bottle and sleep in a crib.. I'M A BIG BOY! AND BIG BOYS DON'T WEAR THESE!! He sobbed all the way to the store...

We started doing loads with this company back in August at the insistence of the driver that I don't like. Well they are good paying loads but the company will.not.pay. It's supposed to be 30 days and we're at 75-90 on some of them. I've been telling my dad since September that we needed to stop working with them and he would not listen. He finally agreed but now they are in the hole with us over 15K. We're not that big of a business! We can't be out that much money for now going on 3 months since I can't exactly pay my guys every 75-90 days. We're having to use our buffer account to cover payroll which is what it is for and we will restore that once we get paid but omg. My dad acts like I'm out blowing the business money when I'm trying to pay our drivers! I know he feels like shit because he got us into this situation by not listening to me but it's not my fault! I tried to tell him.
Okay, I feel better. Needed to get that off my chest.

C was night trained and started having accidents again in March about once a week. So we started waking at night. It got worse. We ended up pushing his bed time up and not waking, per the recommendation on some girls on GD that suggested he was so deeply sleeping he wasn’t waking. We made the change in June and he hadn’t had an accident since.

Crazy day. I only worked for four hours today and when I was exiting the parking garage there was a car pulled over partially blocking the entrance and I saw a woman get out on her phone. When I was up closer I saw the passenger was having a seizure. So I rolled down the window and the woman is sobbing on the phone. The driver was another guy holding the passenger having the seizure. I asked her if I could help and she said yes. I asked if I should call an ambulance and she seemed unsure, asked he driver, and then said yes. It was a little weird because I didn’t understand why she wasn’t calling the ambulance herself right away since she clearly called someone else and was sobbing. But shock I guess. She also said they were visiting from PA and had no idea where they were. So I called and waited with them and got the garage manager to divert traffic because it’s a busy spot. The guy came out of it but it was bad and he wasn’t breathing right and was blue/Gray. I guess he is epileptic but this was sudden and harder than usual. So maybe that’s the hesitation or maybe cost? I’m glad I could help in some way but I felt very helpless. There’s not much you can do for someone seizing, right lfig? My experience is with dogs and it’s kind of just making sure they don’t injure themselves during and getting them Valium. I also realized I have no idea about human nursing. I started getting his respiratory rate and then remembered I don’t know the normal resp rate for a human. I hope he was ok. He looked like hell and although not actively seizing he wasn’t very responsive and his color was still bad. After paramedics arrived I left since I didn’t know them and didn’t want to be in the way. Then I went to go pick up the pies I ordered for Thanksgiving. I’ve never been to the place before but have had their stuff at various events over the years. Traffic was backed up a half a mile with police detail and then the line just pick up a prepaid order was another 20 mins. The pies do look amazing though. After all this excitement I needed a nap. Now I’m chilling with Max before I go pick up C.

@sands52 I think stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot has good tree sales on Black Friday, but there aren’t a lot in stock so you probably have to go first thing in the morning.

M is night trained, but won’t give up the pull-up. He ditched it for a good month then insisted on having them back. If mentioned it to him one or twice and I think it’s just a security thing. He hardly ever wets it and when he does have to go in the middle of the night, he just wakes up and is very angry throwing a tantrum in his sleep until we figure out that he just has to go pee. Silly kid. We will probably make him ditch them soon.

What time did he used to go to bed and what time does he go to bed now, and what’s your average wake up. I think this might be part of our problem.

wedding you did the right thing to call. You didn't know his history and even though the might not be much to do in the event there are many reasons for seizures and if post care is needed.

I actually hesitated stopping for a second because I thought it was car trouble and there were three people and middle of the day and I had pies to get. I’m glad I looked again and saw the guy.

wedding I’m glad you were there to help! And your right, there isn’t much you can do other than making sure they are safe and don’t get hurt. Many with epilepsy carry an emergency medication that helps bring them out of it if they have a history of longer seizures or clusters of seizures. But if their seizures are generally mild/short/infrequent, it’s easy to get complacent and not keep the emergency meds with them. I go through spurts with Sierra’s emergency meds (clonazapam). I used to not always have it handy, but now I keep 2 in my purse because I always have it, 2 at school, 2 with babysitter, and the rest with her meds container. She only had a couple of extended seizures that lasted 6-7 minutes. They say to call 911 for seizures lasting longer than 5 minutes, but I did not either time. But I felt comfortable waiting, and was on the verge of making the call, but then she finally came out and seemed fine (other than super tired). But I think that’s really a case by case situation. Sierra does not violently convulse, she gently convulses and her breathing is stabilized. So that’s why I was waiting and watching....but was literally on the verge of making the call.

I noticed he only peed early in the morning because it was still warm. When it stared he was going to bed between 7:30-8. Then I started waking him at 10 when I would go to bed. He would pee then but still had accidents and they turned from once a week to a few times a week. I started putting him to bed around 7-7:30 so about a half an hour early and stopped waking him. He stopped having accidents. For a couple of weeks I have lots of praise and a quarter for every time he woke up dry just to reinforce it. Since then he has woken up twice saying he wet the bed but actually didn’t and just needed to pee. He wakes up around 6-6:30 every day. The wake up time didn’t change.

Thank you for your input. I was wondering if there was more I could do. He was convulsing pretty badly when I first stopped and then it slowed. I have no idea how long the whole thing lasted since it started before I got there but his color is what alarmed me. His friends or family didn’t seem to know how to deal with it.

wedding that color is definitely alarming. So I’m glad that EMS came. When Sierra was sick last week I took her to the walk in clinic on Sunday because she was coughing so badly and it seemed like she’d get “stuck” on a cough and stop breathing for a minute. Her whole face would get super red during this. But the dr said red was totally fine, that blue/grey was concerning.
