So today is our Friday Thanksgiving, where we host 24 people. Starts at 1:30. And baby still has a fever. This started on Sunday, up to 103.5 on Monday (went to doctor - not the flu), fever gone on Tuesday, then back since Wednesday. This is really stressing me out, I wish she would just get better. I think we’ll need to bring her back in this morning and ain’t nobody got time for that!

Got my first PP period today. Womp, womp. Can menopause come yet? Not having a period was way too nice.

Hi! I went shopping all night. When I say all night I mean I didn’t get into my house until almost 5am. But I got every single kid on my list including my own and some of the adults are done too.
MH went to work about an hour and a half after I got home. He thankfully had a long break at work so he came home so I can sleep for a few hours. Now I am sitting here with the kiddos. G is watching Pj masks and the baby is trying to chew on all of Gs toys. Lol. It’s almost bedtime!!

I learned that nobody in my family ever eats the stuffing, so next year I may not bother with that. And we have a loooot if clean up to do today. 😂 Baby *still* has a fever, so I have a dr appointment for her this morning. This virus is really dragging on.

Did your babes have shots at 9 months? We have our (belated) appt tomorrow so just thinking about it. She def needs her flu shot booster so at least that one.

Oh my gosh. I’m sitting in the nursery with baby as she sleeps in my arms (usually she naps in her crib, but she’s sick so I’m rocking her.) and the lights just turned on. Like, we’re sitting in the dark and suddenly it’s very bright. We have hue bulbs and H has the app on his phone, so i’m guessing he accidentally turned it on? But he’s on a 6 hour drive right now, so i’m sitting here holding my hand over baby’s eyes in this bright ass room. Omg this kinda thing would freak me out so much!

Hiiiii I promise I didn't ghost! Life has been exponentially crazy and exhausting. Last weekend I had to take DD1 to urgent care because she was having difficulty breathing (chest wall retraction) and they gave us an inhaler. I had an awful nightmare about a baby dying in my arms and now I'm terrified something is going to happen to my princesses. Like, anxiety like I've never had before, constantly on my mind kinda thing. DD1 is 3 tomorrow but it looks like she's got HFM again for the second time in 6 weeks. Thank God Olivia has barely gotten sick (knock on wood). Hubby and I spent Black Friday on a day date which was so nice. We saw the new Fantastic Beasts 😍 and ate hibachi. Liv has started taking assisted steps! I'm hopeful she will take her own solo steps by the end of the year. She had refused for a while but now our little push walker toy is her favorite. She loves her sisters play kitchen and she is the funniest little girl ever. She also hasn't bothered with the Christmas tree yet. She loves the lights on it though!!

sunfrogger my DD had a bad cold in May with a rattly cough & ended up getting a nebulizer treatment & rX for an inhaler. We have only used the inhaler one other time when she had a cough recently and her breathing was shallow...It helped so much!! Thinking back this reminded me of when she was sick in May & we were visiting our families, she stayed overnight with my ILs and came back even sicker because they gave her ice cream & candy every night & didn’t insist that she nap every day 🙄🙄

sunfrogger I’m sorry the breathing stuff is giving you anxiety. When DD2 was 18m - 2.5 years we dealt with it a lot and it is hard. I was paranoid all the time that she would start having breathing trouble overnight and I wouldn’t know. Hugs, I hope she’s feeling well soon.

How did the baby make out at the drs bassa? So I took her Saturday morning, and dr said if she still has a fever Monday (today) we’d have to take her to the ER to run a bunch of tests. Which we were all reaaally hoping wouldn’t have to happen because unpleasant for baby and exposure to all the hospital germs. So luckily she’s all better! Fever went down Saturday evening and had stayed down. She has a bit of a cough and an all-over rash, so dr says it’s most likely viral and leaving. And she ate food yesterday for the first time in a few days so 🙌🏻.

It definitely helped a ton. We've maybe been using it once a day the past few while she gets thru the nasty cough. Still so scary!!! And my hubs was so laissez-faire about it.

I’m taking the baby to the dr at 1. He caught Gs cold. He looks awful. He has had a fever on an off for like 2 days. His cough is awful and his nose is a faucet. It’s probably just a cold but he is not quite himself so I just want to get him checked.
G felt good enough to go to school and hasn’t had a fever so that’s where she is at the moment. I am slowly getting sick though.

Today is one of those days that socialized healthcare doesn't sound so bad. The hospital where the boys had their tube surgeries wants nearly $600/month (doesn't include anesthesia or physician bills). That's more than my monthly car payment! I told them I can afford maybe half that... it's pending management approval. Seriously, how do some families afford this??

H took DD for her follow-up flu shot alone this morning. It's bothering me more than I anticipated that I'm not there.

The baby is super sick but the dr says it’s just a cold. We just have to wait it out. He doesn’t have a temp today which is good.
He learned to clap though.

jessijean we owe both the ob and hospital for Henry’s birth. The ob didn’t care how much I pay a month but the hospital gave me hard time. I wanted to yell at them because apparently in NYS you automatically qualify for Medicaid and wic while pregnant regardless of income. When I called while pregnant for assistance if someone had offered that tidbit they would have already had he bill paid by now.
