waitwhat for your Christmas cards last year did you use Vistaprint? I loved your idea so much last year, that I used it for my kids this year. I think they turned out ok, and hopefully will turn into a great Christmas card. So, thank you for your idea, one year ago Aw I’m so flattered! I used Shutterfly! I can’t wait to see it. That reminds me, I need to get an idea for this year. I should probably get on that...

I was thinking about using a Santa picture for our cards this year but we're going to see Santa on Sunday and I don't have much for outfits for us. Maybe I need to go out Friday evening after the madness cools down or Saturday. I hate going to the store so much, especially now.

Hello ladies! starbuck my first period post IUD was long. It also took me 37 days to get it! Re stockings: catholic here, never heard of St Nicks day. We do stockings first thing on Christmas morning. My sister and I were allowed to get up and open then before my parents got up! We took family pics on Sunday. I was neurotic about making sure everyone was clean and dressed on time. O didn’t eat much breakfast so he asked for a pouch right before we walk out the door for pictures. I give him the pouch (you know where this is going...), he runs behind the island and when I get around the corner it looks like the pouch exploded. On his newly ironed shirt, the floor, the cabinets. I start cussing like a sailor while running the shirt under the water to try and get the bright orange baby food off of it. I dried it with my hair dryer and it looked ok.... Getting ready for pictures was so much easier pre kids lol.

We took A to Disneyland when she woke up from her nap yesterday. She's at an age where she's a huge pita, especially in crowds. Wants to walk, definitely no stroller riding, doesn't want to hold your hand so pulls dramatically and if we both hold her hands she lifts her feet and refuses to walk. My gosh. Wrangling her is exhausting. Other than that we had fun, even with the crowds (it was Mickey Mouse's birthday yesterday too - his 90th). 😅

cookswithwine only happens when you very much need it not to. The worst! and it’s ALWAYS bright orange, red, purple, or yellow. Never pear flavored which is like beige.

I get exhausted just thinking about it. All in effort just coming up with the game plan to keep her happy and content. She did really well, but my gosh.

We have a new tooth! The first of the 2-year molars has come up. Ugh that and a cold?! Poor both of you. I hope the rest are quick to break through and you can finally be done with teething.

We have a massive white buck that’s been coming into our field over the past week right around twilight. It’s startling to see him walking out from the woods.

If I have to watch the Happy Mouskabirthday episode one more time I might cry.

Growing up the stockings were always the best part of Christmas. It was always inexpensive stuff, but always so fun to open. We always got one of those chocolate oranges at the toe. So good. That’s what we got in our stocking but MIL gave DH and his siblings a real orange!?! Lol

sophiegrace, that’s so funny! I was raised Presbyterian (Scottish) and was raised doing it, DH was raised Catholic (French Canadian) But did have that growing up! Lol Fascinating! I wonder what it is then. It seems like people either celebrate it or have no idea what you’re talking about. My church was also the big Catholic Church in town too so the catechism classes were intense. I’m thinking St Nick’s was pressed upon hard to help tie Christmas (and explain Santa) even more to the church. My dad’s step-grandmother introduces it to the family don’t know if she was Catholic (his bio grandma died before he was born) but was from Germany and that’s where they do shoes/boots. They put them outside... we have critters! Lol

Back when I was being taught the ways of the church there was no internet, so what we learned came from our teachers and reference books from the church library. All vetted by the uppers at the Catholic Church I’m assuming. Wowwwww was my knowledge only a tiny watered down slice of it all. Religion is so fascinating and diverse even within one tiny joyous holiday.

Lol I think that’s the normal tradition, but we were obsessed with the chocolate oranges growing up and Christmas was the only time my mom could find them. Now I always send one to her and my siblings. I think this year I need one for myself. I’m glad you know what I’m talking about, most people don’t! Or think they sounds gross.
