So, I woke up to snow this morning. I was hoping for a snow day but that didn't happen. I could only travel 40 miles per hour to work because the roads were so bad. My 45-minute commute was over an hour.
E has had such terrible sleep lately. He wakes up crying out in his sleep. I'm not sure what's going on with him. I did notice that his top teeth are pretty close to breaking through. I tried some Tylenol with him and he did do a 3.5-hour stretch. N was such a better sleeper than E, and N didn't sleep through the night until he was 2.5.

sarahandben108 DS1 was a much better sleeper than ds2 and his teeth definitely bother him more than I remember with DS1. They’ll sleep eventually 😂 Waffle saw your post in the other thread, I hope she’s feeling better now and you got some sleep!!

Good morning! I randomly found a molar poking through C’s gums yesterday. So weird since he has his 4 top teeth and only 3 bottom. Is anyone stopping bottles yet? C does really good with a sippy. Not sure if we should switch over slowly or just go cold turkey.

I think B is getting teeth again, too. Boo. I was really enjoying those few weeks of only one wake up per night. Now we’re back to 3, and up for the day at 5 😴He also has a cold so it could be that, too. Idk.

pootsen I’m going to keep up the bottles until I’ve depleted my frozen milk stash. After that I don’t know. I’d like to switch to sippies for whole milk but I think I’ll see what the pedi says at his 1 year visit. At 9 months he wanted him to gain more weight.

Not sure if we should switch over slowly or just go cold turkey. We went cold turkey with ds1 the day after his first birthday. Ds2 never took a bottle (except for that week I was away). Eta we switched him after seeing his pediatrician and she said he didn't need them anymore since he was eating so much "real" food and was a good weight.

I spent most of yesterday chasing after ds2 to supervise him climbing up our stairs. So that was fun. We didn't gate the bottom of the stairs with ds1 but I'm thinking about it for ds2 lol.
Dh took ds1 to a dentist appointment this morning and he did great. He's been very concerned about cavities and losing his teeth lately (thanks to Grandma and her stressing brushing teeth after eating raisins 🙄).

It's cold here. It snowed yesterday but thankfully I was off for Veteran's Day so I didn't have to get out in it. L has a molar about to pop through. I am hoping that is what is to blame for the extreme crankiness we have been experiencing with him lately. He has just been a bear. I am not looking forward to the rest of them poking through. Ugh. His birthday is Friday and I was trying to decide what to do about a cake/ smash cake but I got overwhelmed with trying to find a bakery to make one so I think I am just going to have Walmart make it. We aren't doing a party or anything so it will just be for the fam and my ILs probably.
I am still not sure what the plan is for transitioning to whole milk and sippies. With DS1 I just started putting the milk in bottles first and then transitioned eventually from there. I gave him some milk in a sippy this weekend and he seemed to do ok, he just didn't drink much of it. We've got time though I guess. Unfortunately, his check up isn't until the end of the month.

sarahandben108 my commute sucked today too, multiple accidents and it was only raining! pootsen we're going to start switching daytime bottles to sippys and transition off of morning/night bottles. I'm all for cold turkey but MH can't wrap his head around it . Oh grandmas lol grumpycat. Afternoon, spent some time "crafting" for H's party last night. Hoping to get stuff done by this weekend so I can focus on Thanksgiving. Just ordered all the weekly pics thus far so I can start making poster boards for his party too. 2 more weeks of photos and I can relax for a bit lol.

Howdy!! The poor baby is teething I think because her butt is RANK. I changed 6(!!) gross diapers yesterday. No fever, good appetite and finger in her mouth leads me to believe teeth. I don’t see anything yet. DS was notorious for teething poops.
In other news, we’ve (ok I) have decided to switch the main colours of our Christmas tree to red and silver (from blue/silver). Heads up if you a Jysk near you, ornaments are .25 for 2/3/4 depending on type. I got enough for our whole tree for $7. I may go back for some more when I don’t have the kids!
DD2 starts daycare tomorrow. It’s 2.5 hrs with me there but still. 😢

jules1614, thank you but we've ended up in hospital this evening as the pediatrician wanted an x-ray of her lungs. Her saturation level was borderline so they've admitted her to give her oxygen. I couldn't help crying at the dr when they said she was keeping her. They said it's a virus and there is no infection in her lungs so it's just a case of getting her off the oxygen and eating again. I've just sent H home as he was on his feet all day filling up 2 skips. He wanted to stay but there is only a fold up bed and there's no way I can look at him trying to sleep on a chair from the bed. But also no way I would give him the bed.

I can hear my neighbor's son banging on his (toy) drum through her window and mine. I can only imagine how loud it is in her house. That is my nightmare. Waffle oh no I hope she's on the mend soon. Hugs!

Not sure if we should switch over slowly or just go cold turkey. The grandma's still give C a bottle to get her down for naps, but that's it. She's able to do straws and sippys so during the day it's some sort of toddler cup or water bottle.

We're supposed to get pummeled pretty good tonight and tomorrow with snow. It snowed hard this morning too. I hate the first few snows of the year, everyone always forgets how to drive. quinn, H has an on campu interview next week, so the odds of us coming out your way are officially 1:3.

Not sure if we should switch over slowly or just go cold turkey. E still gets 3 bottles a day. One (milk) when she wakes up, another (milk) before her afternoon nap, and the last (formula) before bed. With meals, she has milk or water in a sippy cup.

I can’t believe it is 8pm and I’m just checking in. Sorry Waffle, I hope baby feels better soon. On the bottle/sippy topic, N takes one bottle of breast milk at daycare before nap. I donated all of my frozen milk and will be done pumping this week so I’ll switch him cold turkey next week. He drinks water out of a sippy or water bottle during the day and gets a sippy of either Ripple pea protein milk or Almond & Cashew Protein milk with dinner. N had his appt with the ENT this afternoon. We’ve decided to wait on tubes for now. The doctor said that he is right on the line but since he is otherwise very healthy and passed all of the hearing tests perfectly, he thinks we are good to wait 6 weeks for another check. And big yay, he doesn’t currently have an active infection, which I thought he did.

How is my baby 1 tomorrow 😩😩😩 I’m way more emotional about it than I was with my other 2.
N takes a munchkin 360 cup. He never could swallow after sucking from a straw or a sippy but seemed to be just fine with this cup. I’m still nursing 2-3x a day and nights. He gets water or milk in the cup too.

Also hi everyone! We had such a nice long weekend wine tasting and with the ILs. The girls were honestly a dream. Back home now. I work at 5 am tomorrow so I need to get some sleep soon, but I will hopefully be around more the next couple days!

Waffle oh no, I’m so sorry LO was hospitalized. DD1 was hospitalized for the exact same reason shortly before 3 years, so not this little. I can’t imagine how hard that is. FX you get out of there soon!

Thanks everyone. The night was rough. She kept getting the oxygen tube out of her nose and coughed a lot.
They kept checking her too so she is exhausted this morning and her cough is worse now. I want to take my baby home with me ðŸ˜

We've just seen the pediatrician and she said we'll be here minimum until the end of the week. We were having her first birthday party on Sunday, I guess we'll have to cancel.
