peachsmama that’s so sweet. But I have to laugh because S was a hot mess in that pic. It was after her EEG so her hair is a mix of glue, adhesive remover and green permanent marker. It was a greasy mess. I had to wait till we got home to wash it out.

I'm pretty pissed! We just found out SD committed to a college through a Facebook post. Mh texted her about it after and she didn't even say it. I had to text her about it and call her out on if she committed or just got accepted. I hate being the 4th parent!

This might be the best day of my life, thank you. eta: I'm sure y'all will be surprised to learn C and I ate there today. The chocolate chip cookie is legit. eta2: I achieved Silver status awhile back and am over halfway to Red! I don't know if I should be proud or embarrassed. |

I will echo all the others. lfig S has amazing parents. Be proud of yourself for that. While I’m sure every new diagnosis is tough, remember that you are not alone. We are all here to support you. I hope the new specialist has some answers and that the new drug helps to limit her seizures. |

Sunny41 that's hard, is it one you approve of I hope! Crazy to think of committing in the fall - does she play a sport? Things are so different these days. You apply and hear within 2 weeks even if you are early. She basically just started the yes I'll go there and getting ids. We knew she was probably going to go there. She will be rooming with her hs bff. Her mom is pushing her there. We mostly don't agree with her getting an art degree but we hope she finds something she really wants to do besides "never stop learning" |

Sunny41 it's just fb though. How is that committing to anything? She was saying it's official she is going to that school. It wasn't clear to us until later that it wasn't just accepted but her saying that is where she decided to go. And she only has 2 acceptance letters so far and 6 more pending. |

I fetched the table and chairs and survived. My dad had called before and was so angry that I was going to get this stuff and not MH..he was convinced I was going to be murdered. Yeah, it was a gigantic house and the couple was basically my age with kids the same age as mine...they were super chill and helped me load it into my car. I did have to do 2 trips though, so mh gets to commute with 3 chairs in his car.
Related - has anyone fixed up old wooden deck furniture? Figure power wash and then maybe stain or seal it?

I was the opposite, I wanted to go somewhere without built in friends, granted then I realized I didn't know anyone like most of the in-state kids and joined a sorority pretty quick to have a network. I'd be bummed that she could be passing up other acceptances elsewhere, but guess she could still have gotten into all and decided on this one. I'm glad she's excited though! |

tallb her and I are definitely different when it comes to those college choices. I went far away, big school, knew no one. She is going 2hrs from home, 25% of grads feelm her hs go there, and is a small school. Eta she is more liberal than her classmates and we really think she would blossom at a bigger school or bigger town.

Let it dry a while after before sealing/staining. Pressure washing really makes it absorb the water. |

lfig others have said everything so much more eloquently and I can only agree. You are an amazing mom, and I often marvel at how strong and positive you stay trough all off this. It is okay to wallow or feel sad, it is a lot to take in. Plus I agree with peach mom, she’s beautiful, she has such delicate features. Hugs.

lfig you are such an amazing mama and S is so lucky to have parents like you who will continue to explore any avenue. It’s ok to feel sad. I can relate on a small level with Lucas’s hearing loss, it’s so hard to feel like your child may be suffering in any way. So many hugs and you know we are always here for you. On a side note, my best friends daughter has cp and they have been on this journey since she was born. They explored a lot of different treatment avenues and seen some amazing results. If you ever have any questions let me know any I can either relay them to her or put you guys in touch.

How’s everything going this week, wedding? Ok. The weekend was good. I have therapy again Thursday. How are you doing? Any headway on finding someone? Still working on it. I got a hold of two that seemed promising but they’re both retiring at the end of the year so the search continues. |
