Nothing too exciting today. DS was pretty funny before school though. We've been in our executive stay apartment for about a month now, and DS is clearly interested in the key cards we use to access our unit.
This morning, DS was trying to get into his bedroom (DH had closed the door), and when he couldn't push the door open, DS said, "get a key card!" DS then took his smallest book, placed it on the door next to the handle, and made a sound that mimicked the mechanical unlocking sound. DS was disappointed it didn't work...but it was funny nonetheless. I can't get over how observant he is.

I just got back from Zumba. Baby and oldest are still sleeping. Park date shortly. Hopefully the splash pad makes for long naps.

That's really cute, Taitai. It amazes me how observant young kids can be. They are *always* watching. 👀 It's been a rough few weeks here after R's dog scratch, asthma diagnosis, and now an upcoming consult for possible language delay, but I'm hoping things calm down soon. Tonight a chef friend in from abroad is coming over and making dinner. All I have to do is supply wine, bread, and salad. That I can do.

littleliverpill You have really been through a lot lately - I'm so sorry you've had to deal with all those things. Like is for your chef friend coming in to make dinner - I hope you have a fun, tasty, and relaxing evening!

Morning everyone! Same old here today. I'm still adjusting to my new schedule and I don't see DD as much....so I stalled taking her into daycare today. I just didn't want to leave her.

We are watching the Daniel Tiger this am where he gets a baby sister and LO (15 months) keeps pointing and saying baby and it's so cute. And I'm crying... we are TTC again so it's giving me all the feels. Lol.

Today is beautiful out! So sunny and not too hot. We are about to get ready and meeting my friend and her daughter at a farm to play and have some lunch.
Putting some bread to bake in the breadmaker while we are gone. Halfway through my vacation and it is going so fast!

jewel Awww...that's really sweet about LO pointing and saying baby. I love Daniel Tiger...sorry for the TTC feels. @ges072115 New schedules are always hard I had the same feelings when I had to start up work travel again after DS was born. Hang in there.

Just another Wednesday over here, but last night was a bit rough. DD gagged herself and threw up everywhere as I was putting her to bed. DS (almost 3) was downstairs and became panicked and insisted on seeing if baby sister. He was so sad that she threw up. She was a bit upset, but was ok, while he was sobbing, saying "baby sister no hurt." We assured him she was ok, which calmed him down. For all their craziness, toddlers can be quite sensitive little souls.

Well the farm has a train you can ride around, but is apparently only running on weekends right now. So plans changed to a playground at the beach and then ice cream after our lunch.
Sounds great to me 😊

I feel like crap. It's just a cold I'm sure, but my throat is killing me to the point I had trouble sleeping last night.
And I've got a meeting with my boss this morning to go over a project. FAN-tastic.

I hate being in a cold office when it is beautiful outside and I work every weekend as well.

I was watching Daniel Tiger with DS about two weeks ago I think and it was the episode where he's learning to share mom and dad's attention and be a great big brother. RIGHT in the middle of our whole figuring out what to do after our failed FET/deciding to be OAD saga. So rest assured, you are not the only person who has cried while watching Daniel Tiger.

This week has been super slow for me at work, so this morning I finally decided to contact FitBit customer service because my tracker hasn't been syncing right with my phone despite me trying all the different resets/tips online. Good news, it's under warranty and they will send me a new one. Bad news, the online chat happened like, an hour ago and I still haven't received the promised email. I feel like I should have it already, but how long until you would contact customer service again? I'm thinking this afternoon or tomorrow morning is reasonable, right? I need to go to the UPS store anyway this week to return an Amazon package, so assuming I need to send my old one back, I really just want to get this taken care of at the same time.

billmurray, feel beter butlerfan, enjoy your kid free time jillywilly, I would wait 24 hours. Don't forget to check your spam folder too. I am here. I'm desperately trying to catch up. Our fiscal year closes at the end of this month so there is approximately 123532324098 things to do before then. K doesn't have DC on the 3rd so I'm trying to figure out alternative care and NO ONE is getting back to me. I hate leaving things like this until the last minute.

Ugh....I'm so raging right now. Kids were down for a nap and H's parents cut down more trees and woke kids up. H is not happy since they didn't get naps yesterday during visit so now we will have cranky kids and we are supposed to go out tonight. Will H's parents actually follow any rules tonight?
Also, MIL was like...I haven't seen you in two days....um just because you are in the camper next door in yard doesn't mean we need to check with you every 5 minutes to tell you our plans.

BH fell and chipped his front teeth this weekend. Took him to the dentist this morning and good news - it's just cosmetic. His gums are bruised, but his teeth are fine...just missing pieces.

We ran around pretty much all day picking out things for the kitchen. After two trips to Lowe's and one to home depot, we have the cabinet pulls we need. Who knew that would be such a task?!
We did try out a new playground though and both girls had a blast so that was good!

Update on my bread: I put pizza bread in the breadmaker and even though it didn't rise quite as much as it should have- it was really delicious and we dipped it in some marinara sauce.
So yummy and love that I have another thing my kid will actually eat!

A sister he wants to name Margaret 🙄

Chef friend dinner was great but she and another friend who came for dinner showed up over an hour late and wouldn't leeeeeave. At 10:30, an hour past my normal bedtime, I excused myself and went to sleep. Ain't nobody got time for a midnight bedtime when R is up with the sun!
