I'm interested to see where the kids land now that they are "big kids". Cadence's isn't until the 20th.
Do we all have well checks at 5?
Height: Weight: Shots: Anything to Note:

I thought we were supposed to do them every year, no? I scheduled one for M but I guess I should check with my insurance to make sure it’s covered.

We did ours early October Height: 41” Weight:40lbs Shots: 1 flu shot Anything to Note: his skin rashes will always require steroids. It’s something caused by the changing weather. I’m scared what the mn cold weather will do to it now.

H’s appt is also on the 20th. When I was scheduling they asked if she had her kindergarten shots yet so she may get them at the appt, we shall see.

My insurance is so annoying and I have to wait 12 months between visits. We got bumped last year to December 1 for some reason, and now I cant make one earlier than that, so this year it’s not until December 4.

I think the only kindergarten shot we need is the 2nd chicken pox booster. My pedi did the 2nd one last year because we could do it at 4 and no reason to wait. Not sure if there are others

And “thanks” to Thanksgiving we are now scheduled for like 3 weeks after his birthday. I guess that gap will just keep growing year after year? Dumb.

Ours did that, but because of sick visits/well visits, our two November babes were seen in March for their well visits. Tomorrow is DD’s birthday, so we’ll do a height and weight for posterity sake.

I’m glad my plan doesn’t dictate how much time between well visits. Because ours has been as late as December due to scheduling conflicts and this years was early October.

My insurance requires 12 months between visits as well, so I think that's pretty normal. I know Evie's will be the end of November, because as per, I forgot to schedule her appointment on time last year, which means this year has to be 12 months after that one. Making that appointment is on my post it for the day.

Height: 44 Weight: 44 Shots: Chicken pox. He’s all caught up until we start our HPV series at age 11 (and flu each year, of course).

I finally made Evie's appointment. The pedi she sees is only in on Tuesdays. The only time they had available 365 days after her last appt was at 9:30, so she's miss school, so I opted for the next Tuesday, or December 11. But I made the appointment, so I consider that a win.
I also asked about flu shots, since I don't want to wait until the middle of December and they told me just to walk in for them on a Saturday before 5:30. Guess I know what we are all doing this weekend. Family time, getting our flu shots!

Height: 43.5 inches (64%) Weight: 50# (93%)
passed his vision and hearing test. No concerns. We discussed backless booster seats because C has been pushing me to get one for him since he used the one in my dad's car a couple of times over the summer. So I wanted him to hear it from the Dr that the 5 point harness booster is best until he reaches the max height or weight and that even though he is big, his bones need to develop more to protect him in case of an accident. He listened.
He was pissed about the flu shot and I will likely hear about it for a week or so, but it has to be done. No other vaccines.

T went today. He is very tall.
Height: 47 in Weight: 43 lbs Shots: just flu, we finished everything else at 4. I declined hearing and vision screenings because my insurance won’t pay for them but I can take him to my eye doctor for free with my vision insurance.

S hasn't had her well check yet. But at the doctor yesterday she was 32.5 lbs and 40" tall. She had her flu shot about a month and a half ago when she was in the hospital for the Dystonia. So we should be good on shots till next summer I think. I am pretty sure she has a shot or two before she can start Kindergarten.

Colin went in earlier this week. We have a high deductible plan so they fortunately aren't sticklers about the timing of his visits. Height: 43in Weight: 48lbs Shots: flu and some booster Anything to Note: passed hearing, skipped vision since he has a follow-up in February with the eye doctor The nurse pricked his finger for the hemoglobin test instead of his toe, which went over slightly better. He cried over his shots a lot, though to be fair his bandaid was all bloody and there are still irritated marks a couple days later. Chase barely flinched for his flu shot (there was also no bleeding or evidence of a prick), so maybe it was the booster. Or Colin is just a whole lot more sensitive. Or a little of both. ETA: Colin loves to use our scale at home and I've never seen him higher than 46lb. I'm not concerned regardless, the reading surprised me a bit because he's leaned out so much so given his limited vertical growth, I didn't expect to see a jump in his weight. But he assures me he's growing lots of muscles, so that probably makes sense.

Cadence had her well check this morning. weight: 46lbs(week and a half of constant pooping made her lose 3 lbs), which puts her at 84th percentile height: 45", 91st percentile
We're going to assume the pooping was a bug, but if it starts happening more frequently, then we'll take further steps. She's up-to-date on shots until age 11. She got a flu shot and was PISSED. We are also going to assume her intense emotions are just a phase for now.

Height: 39” 7th percentile Weight 38lb 37th percentile
Everything is great, per the pedi.
And then we went to the dentist, found out H has 4 cavities all on the right side. So next Monday she gets her first fillings.

Um, why did no one tell me they get FIVE shots for kindergarten. Holy Hell, we were not prepared for that 😳
Evie continues to top the charts at 45" and 48 lbs. She's proportionate and on her curve, so no worries. We did have the talk about ADHD and SPD and the doc wrote me a scrip for PT. We are going to hold off on further testing to see how she does in Kindergarten, unless she starts any "dangerous" behaviors before then.
