dapostrophe my in laws have a Newfie. Great dogs but the drool and hair is too much for me and I had an English Bulldog so that says a lot!

Work was very busy but I feel like I’m in a good place.
I am very frustrated with mental health care though. I have contacted three therapists, including one from my EAP and left messages with no call back. I also made an appointment with a psychiatrist but they called me today saying they didn’t realize Monday was a holiday and the first available with anyone is the end of the month. It’s so so frustrating because these are incredibly hard calls to make so when they aren’t returned it’s rough. I’m feeling good right now but I need my meds adjusted and clearly have stuff to work on and just want to get it moving.

I made a turkey sausage, pepper and potato hash dish for dinner. Mh tossed the peppers and onions and Cadence refused everything except the sausage. This is why I hate making dinner. 😒

So no dice on getting out early as they kept us a few minutes after. *sigh* The material is so boring.
One of the instructors has a service dog. She's the cutest chocolate lab ever and it was so hard for me not to pet her when she was giving me puppy eyes.
A classmate is already on my shit list. The TVs here all default to Faux News when you turn them on. 😒 A comment was made about it during break and he remarked he is "pro life and pro guns" (because those go together like bread and butter) and wasn't really for Trump but disliked Hillary so he voted for Trump. I don't know how strongly he felt my death stare. Not to mention we're in uniform and not supposed to talk politics. I'm not looking forward to being in a red area on election day.

I'm actually a bit teary eyed thinking back about E's year as a 4yr old. He was such a big guy while MH was gone. It isn't the kind of thing we thought we would go through as a family and to get 1week to adjust to it 3x was big of him. And he was almost always well behaved. We got into a routine of dinner with friends and of special date breakfast where we shared the same meal. He's my workout buddy and asks to be my weights. I really don't want him to grow out of this!

LO has been acting really bad the past few days. And today at school he was in the red zone. I don’t even want to discuss with you why he was there but it’s for something he knows he shouldn’t do. He’s just been so defiant lately. I can say the sky is blue and he will argue with me that it isn’t. I’m starting to lose it.

Since I'm two hours later than west coast I'm going to try and avoid checking on election results until Wednesday. There are 2 ballot measures I'm interested in but there's been so much BS propaganda against them I don't have my hopes up. |

I’m sorry you’re having so much trouble getting appointments, wedding. I still haven’t been able to get in to a therapist for the same reason. The only reason I have been able to see a psychiatrist is the partial hospitalization program; my doctor there agreed to continue to treat me even though they usually advise you to find someone new. You would think they would be a little better about scheduling things, even if they’re kind of far out in the future since people with anxiety and/or depression are going to have a really tough time chasing them around. I hope that you hear back soon. I’m so proud of you. |
