My RCS is Wednesday and I’m starting to panic a little bit about it all. I was out of it last time when I ended up with a c/s and it was after like 45 hrs of horrendous labor so it was a relief. This time it’s like 😱😱😱

This time it’s like 😱😱😱 I am worried I will feel the same way once mine gets closer. DS was an emergency C-section so there was no time for me to worry about it really. I am just thinking that it can't be worse than the first time since it is controlled and planned. I am sure a C-section after 45 hours of labor and recovering from that has to be worse than just showing up to get it done. Good luck you'll do great!

I think at least part of it is that they don’t tell you anything about the day until 24-48 hours before so I still have no idea on times, rules, etc. I’m a planner. I need a plan.

hayleysmith, I completely feel you on the panicking over the repeat c-section. I've been anxious about the spinal almost more than the c-section, but both are giving me anxiety. I'm in a similar boat that last time I was in full on labor, so the epidural was a relief, and by the time my doctor called a c-section, I was so tired and done, it was a relief again just knowing that the baby was finally getting out. This time there's waaaaaaay too much time to over-think the whole procedure ahead. The thing I'm focusing on is I've heard repeat c-sections actually tend to be way better than the ones that come after a crappy labor, so just try to remember that - and that at the end of it, you'll have your sweet baby on the outside! You're so close!

I’m so ready to be on maternity leave. Work is driving me nuts. I’m over it. Get me outta here for 6 weeks.

I have some puffiness in my calves and ankles. My socks and leggings left indents / lines. My husband suggested I wear looser clothing.

I need some distraction today. I’m in line to vote, but will be glued to the tv later as results come in. I always get so emotional to when voting and today was no exception, mostly because I’m just worried things won’t go well. All that to say, more babies please!! And congrats Dr. Cox on your sweet boy!

Congratulations Dr. Cox!! We all had to get up and hide in the closet s last night during the tornados and severe weather in our area. It took DS2 forever to fall back asleep and as a result I am dragging today. I was kind of hoping the storms etc would push me into labor but no such luck... This baby needs to come soon I am so uncomfortable a d the intermittent contractions are getting really old.

Congrats, Dr. Cox! I got my voting done bright and early this morning. My BP was high when I checked this morning - two points off the threshold where my OB wants me to call them, so I wanted to make sure to get it done just in case, lol. I'm excited to watch the returns with my H tonight, though I'm just realllly hoping that it's not a flashback to 2016 - I don't think I can take that at this point!

Also voted bright and early. It was a zoo because I vote in the gym of an elementary school and school is in session. So between school buses and those of us trying to vote before work, it was a circus. BUT, we did it! I had DD in tow. I was excited for my sticker. She was excited to find a basket of pretzels. #priorities

My husband is bringing home Taco Bell for lunch and he's staying home with me since I've been feeling so....down lately. I really want this baby out and I have some issues going on with my sister and no real friends to talk to about it all. We are still newer here.
I'm pretty sure I've got a little depression going on. Ugh.

I’m sorry eleephant. I’m glad YH is there for you. It’s so hard to make real friends when you move to a new place— I still haven’t, really, and we’ve lived here for 2 years. I hope you start to feel a bit better but don’t hesitate to ask for help.

Thank you guys! I think the hardest part is that we moved here away from everyone we know and love in the small community that I was born and raised in to be close to my sister. It just hasn't been what we thought it would, and now we are in this weird position and kids are involved and it's a total mess.
We need some friends! Haha.

I voted Friday, which was nice because I wasn't sure if I'd be in labor today. No such luck, though. Waiting for my doc to text me with my induction time (should be Thursday!). Also waiting to hear if my coworker officially got the job she got an offer for - so I can tell our boss I want to take over the department (currently we manage two different parts of it, but her replacement won't have much experience so I'm going for lady at the top, hopefully). Poor timing with my leave, but I'm totally willing to do some prep and oversight/project planning & management on my leave. Especially because it would mean a little pay hahah

I have 35 days to gooooooo! I’m feeling a little more positive and a little less grouchy now that we’re nearing the one month mark. Feels more obtainable. lol.
We are officially moved into our new master bedroom and have a contractor bag of clothes for donation. Lots of baby containers (bouncers, swing, etc.) are washed and put together. Formula samples arrived yesterday, so baby has food (plus my old breast pump still works and I have new parts). Things are finally coming together. Thank goodness.
All that’s left to do is order DD’s bed set, put her current set in the nursery, and have a baby shower (I’m told it’s happening, I just don’t know when). Squeeeee!
