blurnette989, that's true. But as long as Seehofer doesn't get the party nomination next time, I think most of the CDU members who could potentially be the chancellor candidate are fairly moderate and will be a calming influence. I mean, I guess almost anyone seems like a calm and rational person compared to the Cheetoh...

I really should be, but I've had so much anxiety while listening to lying Republican politicians, I just can't bring myself to do it anymore. At least not at the moment.

This doesn't seem smart to me. Kids need time to process what happened.

This doesn't seem smart to me. Kids need time to process what happened. When I was in HS and awful things happened (9/11 and death in our school community come to mind), teachers asked us what we needed that day - sometimes we wanted to continue with a lesson but most of the time we were there together having some sort of facilitated discussion. It was better for me than if they had just sent us all home. I don't know how they decide what to do... it's all just awful.

And a plane crashed today upon take off from Jakarta, all 189 on board expected to be dead. It looks to be some type of plane issue and not terrorism. Sometimes it feels like the world is falling apart.

Some things to remember from this Video: 1. Trump has done a $6Mil add buy on the last week of this campaign for his "Trump 2020" campaign. 2. He registered to run again in 2020 the day he was inaugurated. 3. His campaign manager is treating his 2020 election as a product launch. So get ready for more commercials. 4. His campaign manager is calling him a general in the "army of Trump". 5. His campaign manager is giving a voice to the 100,000+ of people who hate CNN. 6. Trump campaign sent a letter to American's the same week of the bombs saying its time for an "awakening" for the media like CNN as to who America really is. This is why we need to vote. And get others to as well. Source: Trump campaign manager explains new unprecedented ad, defends President's rhetoric

I saw a bunch of people in my neighborhood canvassing for Levin yesterday and I was bummed they didn’t end up stopping at my house. Maybe because they know I’m registered D? It got me a little energized to see them though.

They excused seniors/juniors for the week, allowed us to just talk about whatever in class (except my Spanish teacher cuz he was a dick), and had onsite counselors for us both individually and as a group.
I dont know how they decide either. I agree it was better than just being at home.

It got me a little energized to see them though. At this stage we're in voter mobilization. If you're a reliable Dem voter they aren't going to send people to you until next weekend, if at all, bc they know you'll go vote. We use our limited volunteer energy where we can sway independent voters or mobilize "occasional" voters

Agreed. Especially if there is a high number kids who will be going home without an adult in the house during the day. I would hope that they are not resuming classes as usual but giving them the option to speak to counselors and talk through what happened. Sitting home alone at 15 after something like this probably isn't the best answer.

I really do not believe Avenatti will go far in the primary. He isn't well liked.

Great tweet here from the former DHS/Pentagon spokesperson Over 30+ years as a U.S. Marine, I defended our country against its true enemies. In 20+ years as a USMC, Pentagon and DHS spokesman, I dealt w/ the news media nearly every day. I know quite a bit about the press and know this -- they are NOT the enemy of the American people. t.co/PoacbNeKGc

Not political at all, but I am finally getting around to watching the Office and the Michael Scott gifs are funnier since I now have the context.
