E had the worst night's sleep in forever. I swear he was up every hour. He was farting a lot so I'm sure it was gas keeping him up. He finally pooped this morning and then went back to bed. Of course, this always happens on the nights I decide to go to bed at 10:00.

Sorry for the crappy sleep sarahandben108. I also feel like this week is dragging. We have daycare teacher conferences this afternoon. I think I’m going to ask about bottle and milk transitions, and allowing a lovey in the crib as B turns 1. I forget what all of the rules are.

The family we did the benefit show for is taking us out to dinner tonight as a thank you. I'm excited to not have to cook and clean

That sounds like fun quinn. Enjoy your dinner. We are doing our pumpkins this weekend jules1614. If we do them too early, the squirrels eat them. We learned that the hard way.

They do the same shit to us! We want to carve too but I prefer to do it outside and it's been just too cold lately.

Hellllloooo. I am also le tired. C only got up once but then Ds1 crawled into bed with me. Every inch of his body had to be touching mine and if I tried to move over he would just follow me. I have to work for the next 9 days in a row so today is like my Monday + 4 😩
Everyone at work is in a tizzy about the benefit changes. It’ll be interesting to see what happens.
Has anyone tried wcm yet? C doesn’t seem to fond of it, even with mixing it into BM or formula.

pootsen, we just started occasional sippies of WCM by itself. DD2 freaking loves it, DD1 did, too (and still does). But some kids just don't like milk, either. Hard to know at this age. Also, noooo to working 9 days in a row. Are they 12 hour shifts?

Hey all - it's been a crazy few days. Our flight was delayed 2.5 hours on Monday, which was a pain - N still did fine but if we had taken off when we were supposed to, he would have slept most if not all of the way (like he did on the way up on Friday). I started feeling funny Tuesday night, and wound up leaving work early yesterday with a fever. Slept 4+ hours until it was time for me to go pick up N from daycare. And now this morning, I am fine. WTF. But because I was sick yesterday my pumping output was crap so I had to send N with formula bottles for daycare for the first time. I had feelings about it, and wanted to punch H every time he was like "Well, it's time we started anyway." DUDE, I will stop pumping when I am ready to stop pumping. ENOUGH ALREADY. Have fun at dinner, quinn! Sorry for the crap sleep, sarahandben108 - hope tonight is better! Oh, and it's H's birthday today and I have gotten him nothing. No ideas either. Oops.

thatgolfb, thanks for posting that Target trick-or-treat thing. I have been trying to find more things to do with the kids in costumes and that seems perfect! I feel like I really need to get my money's worth out of these costumes. I have N a couple of ounces of Ripple pea milk to try with dinner last night. Safe to say he liked it...I tried to take the cup away to wipe it off and he screamed at me and then cried. He was a little confused at first and drooled some out but caught on quickly. That makes me hopeful that a transition from breast milk at daycare will go easily and I can stop pumping right around a year. I have so many feelings about stopping since he is my last but overall, I really hate it and will be glad to be done. We'll still nurse for a while in the mornings and evenings and on weekends, so that makes it easier. I am thinking I might try a small amount of dairy with N this weekend. He has done so well with adding soy that I think we should give it a shot. I hate to disrupt a good thing but I also want to know if he can handle any. If he can't, we'll just go back to business as normal but if he can that would be awesome.

Dh continues to feel better. Ds1 will be back this evening so hopefully he's not a complete crazy man.
For those with kids around 3/4 and in daycare, how chaotic is the class usually when you pick your child up? I'm trying to get a gauge. I think that ds1's class is out of control (based on dh, my mom, and my own observations) and it's contributing to his behavior issues. Like I always give the teachers the benefit of the doubt, but I've never observed the class not being chaotic. Dh said it's crazy in the mornings too. Since I will be doing drop off/pick ups (rather than dh), I'm going to keep better track and see.

grumpycat, I only have DD1's class to compare to, but her class is usually not chaotic at pick up. They are always on their number rug (each kid has a number), singing a song or something.

They have one main teacher and 2-3 aids, and a max of 16 kids total (8 kids on IEPs, and 8 mainstream kids). It is a specialized class, so the ratio is pretty good. Maybe that is why?

That sounds like a great situation! He has 21 kids in his class, one main teacher, an assistant teacher, and an aide occasionally (when all kids are there). I know that some kids will be moved into the next classroom soon because it's way too many kids. And at the max for state ratios.

grumpycat , When N gets picked up it's very organized. Kids must be sitting in their seat until their parent arrives. Then they push in their chair and the parent signs them out. He is 4.5, has 12 kids in his classroom, and two adults.

grumpycat I’m not sure exactly the ratio- there are 2 teachers but not sure how many kids total- I think there can be 8-10?/ teacher for 4K/4 year old daycare. Anyways, mornings are pretty organized, they have planned activities that they can do (art one day, cars the next etc), I actually kind of hate it and wish it could be more “free play” to start the day. But this is at 730 and “class” starts at 815 so there aren’t a ton of kids there to be too crazy. When I pick up 99.9% of the time they are in the gym and it is chaos but understandable because it’s 530 at that point and the gym is meant to run around in and burn off energy. The rare occasion he gets picked up early the kids are usually sitting on carpet squares reading or singing so I would definitely inquire about his class and see if it’s just the snap shot you’re seeing or if there are some behavioral problems in the class.

Then I picked up 3 hours next Wednesday for a coworker so she can close on her new house. We can only have one person off at a time, and someone is already off that day, so she needed to find coverage for herself so she could buy her new home. Lovely, eh? Lol I’m obviously bitter about work right now...

Hi everyone, of course I woke up at 6 am, forced myself to stay in bed and managed to fall back asleep for a couple hours. We drove up to Mount Greylock (highest point in Massachusetts) then hiked to a waterfall. We were ill prepared for the hike realizing when we got back to the car that we picked a strenuous hike and I was wearing sneakers. Afternoon naps and hot baths ensued. Photo from the summit.

Blah pootsen, I don't even like working five days in a row 😂 Jojo had a good half day back at daycare today. She slept, didn't cry, but didn't want to eat her lunch. She hasn't wanted to since she's been sick at home either, but she ate most of it when we stopped at a friend's afterwards. She had a great time chasing her dogs around! 😁 She's an animal lover. I have a board meeting tonight, it'll be boring 😖 and I kind of feel like I'm not pulling my weight, but I'm the treasurer, so if there's not a lot of financial transactions in a month I don't have much to talk about!
