C and I made a trip to Wally World this morning for diapers, a couple things for B's Halloween costume, and some other odds and ends. Now we are home and finishing lunch before it's time to get B. I need to start game-planning for next week, my MIL is due in on Thursday (we leave Friday for our trip) and then my parents will be here to take over on Sunday. I know it'll all get done but I try to leave everything *just so* so it's as easy as possible (particularly for MIL since she's not as familiar with the kids/routine, etc). |

Hi hi - 3 classes done🙌, phew! My mom was over and I has to get her to a bus downtown to get to my sister's. She wanted to Uber and I somehow agreed to a pool express which resulted in us running a block and a half with both kids and a suitcase to catch her ride, such a cluster. And then n refused to cooperate at dropoff and I legit almost dropped her while carrying sodas for stock the lounge...a mom and a teacher saved me but I was so flustered I couldn't even talk bc I was sure I was going to cry. Thankfully it was a good friend and js teacher, but still super embarrassing. Now waiting not so patiently for pricing on the house updates. I am ready to get this over with and move in. He’s not a light sleeper but I have gone in to him yelling at C to “be quiet already.” |

jewels I’m sorry things are hard, we’re here for you. kim22 it is the worst. Dd did did for the first 7 months, after that it was max 2-3 hours for almost a year. In sincerely hope this is not the case and you get some sleep very soon. guster Hope you feel better soon!

She was a great sleeper until around 6 months when her EIs started. It was all downhill from there. |

Sorry those jerks are making for a hostile work environment, joelies . You can file a complaint anonymously, right? I'd go straight to his manager without an issue, but the entire office would know it was either me or my friend K complaining, and it would be months of misery. There are certainly people in this office who agree with us, but there are A LOT of apathetic, "I don't care because it doesn't directly impact me" types. There were people I didn't speak to for months after the 2016 elections because I was so disgusted and they thought I was making a mountain out of a molehill. Well that molehill turned out to include separating kids from their parents and tossing them in cages and tents, causing further irreparable damage to our environment, emboldening racists/xenophobes/misogynists/etc., and well, you know the rest. So my faith in humanity will likely be further beaten down in a couple weeks and I will once again refuse to talk to half my office. YAY. |

tallb Don't be embarrassed. We have all been there! Evie won't carry shit, while I have 62 bags on my arms, trying to get in and out of the house. All us moms get it and have been in the same position. Yup. Dude helps me carry groceries, but won't manage his own lunch bag or backpack. |

I've been trying to read and post all morning, but work has exactly 45461674984 moving parts right now. Add in trying to get B's party planned, J's 2nd birthday, booking my SIL to come here for a week, and then regular house stuff makes me want to burst.

jewels At least Frostys are good. I’m ashamed of how many of those books of free Frosty coupons I have in my car for adding a dollar to support adoption (not that I don’t support adoption, they just only sell them for a few weeks so obviously I go too often). T asked me what Wendy’s middle name is the other day. I told him I don’t know but I should. DD woke up from a nap with a fever of 102.5 so not a migraine. Took her to the doctor and they say tonsillitis because strep was negative. I had the doctor look at C too so now I know he’s not sick and is just spoiled.

B tried on his Dr Alan Grant/paleontologist costume this afternoon; I'm so glad he found something he was really excited about. I just Amazon prime'd him some aviators and -- as a surprise-- a velociraptor 'claw' (just goes to show you can find literally anything on the internet, lol). I think he will flip!
