We (H and I) have the opportunity to go to Florida for a weekend in November. But I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave AJ ☹ WWN17D??? I say go for it! It’s just a weekend. Obviously if you are not ready that’s ok too, but I would be all about it if we could find someone to keep our kiddos. it's just so far away and I'm neurotic and a total worrier

We (H and I) have the opportunity to go to Florida for a weekend in November. But I'm not sure if I'm ready to leave AJ ☹ WWN17D??? We are leaving the girls with the ILs for a weekend (Sat evening-Monday morning) while we go wine tasting, the weekend after DD2 turns 1, and I can't wait. Lol. So I say go for it! I left DD1 for a few days when she was only 5 months. Granted she was home with H. I'd go if I was in that position.

We are just hanging out at home today. Dh is attempting to clean out the garage with ds1. It's slow going lol. My mom is coming over for dinner. Nothing crazy. We had a busy day yesterday. We ended up going to pick up pumpkins in the afternoon.
Ds1 was up asking for candy at 1am and then ds2 was up 30 minutes later for a change/milk. Yawns.

Happy anniversary cakewench! It’s our anniversary and we’ve done lawn work, dh had a work emergency and had to go check out a site, and now he’s walking the dog. Love is in the air! 🤣 tomorrow ILs are watching the kids so we can hopefully have a nice date day. Currently DD is napping and DS is resisting. Almost down rocking him, and then he pooped. 😒 so now he’s up playing for a bit before I try again. Happy Anniversary to you and cakewench. 😉 🤣

Assuming it’s parents watching, I’d jump at a reason! that's the thing, it would be our babysitter that would watch them (in our home). She's wonderful with them and I trust her, but she's only been working for us for about 8 months and the longest she's done is half a day.

Today has been a typical fall Sunday. I grocery shopped, went for a run with the stroller, roasted chicken for lunches and have chilli on the stove for dinner. Now I’m watching football with a pumpkin beer.

Go figure. We are supposed to finally have our date dinner and DD woke up with her eyes gooped up. Now I’m sitting at urgent care with her to see if it’s pink eye

When is the weekend away? Can you have her do like an 8 or 10 hour day that includes bed time to give her a test run? See how she stacks up? Maybe have her stay the night after and run wake ups too? And you could either be home or not and see how she does. That might help with your comfortability on the decision.

Hmm quinn that’s a tough one. I would have the babysitter do some practice runs to see if it’s feasible. A weekend away sounds lovely!!

cnf jules1614 she has done wake up and breakfast time once before when I went fishing for the tournament. She's done dinner and bath/bedtime multiple times. She has experience with every point of the day (including lunch and naps). So I know she technically can do it all, I'm just really apprehensive about it

As for the babysitter, I feel like I would want a test overnight first.

We'll give her more time to gain experience and reexamine in January for our anniversary
