Dh got home late last night so I saw him for a few mins before work today. I come downstairs and see a plate in the sink (the only one so that would indicate to another person “maybe I should load it in the dishwasher”) and there’s broccoli chunks on it. Sure enough he ate my damn leftovers! I called him and said “welcome back” in my most unenthusiastic voice ever. Jerk.
Anyway, work should be slow today so I’ll be around. Excited for the weekend. What’s up on your world.

wedding I'd be annoyed about leftovers too. I don't leave myself enough time to gather stuff in the AM, I have to do it before bed, so that would be my excuse for eating out today! Which...I only put my almond milk in a shaker with the powder on the side, plus snacks, so I guess it's lunch out for me today! Hopefully today is quiet and goes fast. Nothing too exciting today. One of my BFs is doing a small gallery showing tomorrow afternoon, so I'm excited to go support her. Helps that it's at a winery, so I'll hopefully get to sample some wines as well. My mom told me she'd like to go, so it sounds like it will be fun. I may try to get groceries today, which means I need to make a list.

I'm tired. MH didn't get home till 1:30 this morning. wtf. So of course I woke up 1000xs until he was home. Then he fell asleep on the couch and was loud as hell when he came to bed. It took me another hour to fall asleep. He apparently didn't close the hall door because the dog got back in our room at 4 so I had to put it back in the living room. Then the damn dog woke me up again at 5 to go out.
I'm a little annoyed.

Morning. It was just below freezing this morning so that plus my congestion made it a bit of a slow morning. Colin has his first field trip of the year to a local pumpkin patch for hay rides and all that. Despite the cold, it's sunny and beautiful so we probably couldn't have asked for more. Chase and DH are also still sick, though no one seems to have more than a minor cold so it's not so bad.
Super excited for the weekend!!

I’m on day 2 of a hangover.... I hardly drank. What even is this??! 😩
And I have to drive to Tampa with my BIL Saturday to pick up a truck MH is buying. Don’t want to. Don’t want to at all.

Well crap. I didn't remember that I have a hair appointment tomorrow. I'm trying to figure out how I can make it to the gallery opening at 1, it's 32 minutes away from my house, and be at my hair appt at 2. I've sent text messages to my stylist to see if it's okay if I'm late, or if I should try to reschedule. My mom is going to the opening tomorrow and she's already asked if we will have enough time for wine. Priorities.

I am mad at you people. Yesterday you were all talking about troubles getting 2 ish year olds in the car. I smugly thought... we don’t have that problem!! Both last night and this morning I had to fight tooth and nail to get him in. This morning after I got him buckled, he screamed and cried the whole ride to school. Super fun

Morning Ladies! Today is the eye of the storm in what has been an insanely packed week. The weekend is also jam packed so I am enjoying the reprieve.
H dropped off my load for a PTO consignment sale earlier this morning. Then, in true me fashion, I pulled the last clean load out of the dryer, screeched into the parking lot, pinned it in the car and got the last of it in just under the wire. Feels good to be done and have all that stuff out of my house!
I am going to shop the sale later tonight, but other than that I refuse to book anything else today.

Like even S thought he was being ridiculous Lolz. It makes me laugh when one sibling is behaving and thinks the other is being ridiculous. I know sometimes the "good" one wants to kiss up and act extra well-behaved just to highlight it. Maddie's eye rolls at Cass sometimes are something else. |

I work this weekend.  I can't wait until SUN night. I don't mind the work there, it's all the BS that goes along with it that annoys me. I also seriously jacked up my toe at TKD last night and I don't know how the eff I'm going to wear my boots all weekend. I might bring sneakers just in case but it makes me cringe. Even when I was a million years pregnant I wore my boots. Tonight it's either dumping the kids at TKD for a costume party/parent's night out or movie night at Maddie's school. I'll let the girls decide. |

Happy Friday! I’m wfh and getting my life back in order. I’ve made a lot of phone calls for the basement, booking N’s birthday party, vet appt etc. the fridge for the basement bar was delivered and now I’m cleaning out our humidifiers and putting in new filters. Productive day of “work” I’d say.
We have friends coming tonight from Des Moines to stay the weekend and I’m excited to catch up with them!

If I had a dollar for every time I had to tell a kid "What were you asked to do?" each morning amid all the dilly-dally, I would be a rich woman. You would think "Please get your shoes and coat on" translates to "Tell me a long story/a million random anecdotes" or "Find a toy to play with/take off your socks".

Finally friday indeed! I had a crazy busy, but productive day. I had an interview (actual interview, not for a job) with a woman who wrote two books about/for kids that have siblings with long term illnesses that causes them to be in and out of hospitals. I was fun and inspiring and I hope we can do more things together. Currently sipping a glass of wine while vegging on the couch.

Hi guise - We closed🏡! We went over this am and our agent had plastic stemless wine glasses engraved with our house number to use on the patio, she's so sweet. I did find spider crickets in the garage during the final walk through and seriously wanted to walk, but I know they are common, just give me night terrors, they are the worst. Sorry for all the complaining over the years about house hunting, I owe you all!

Hi! I just got to work. M had a field trip to the pumpkin patch that I accompanied him to. It’s all on snap chat. I should have taken the whole day off, cuz I don’t want to be here now. I’m trying to figure out how to get my kids and my husband out of the house this weekend so I can get some stuff done. I need more than a couple hours, though. It’s never enough time to purge and clean. I see a day off of work to do this is my near future.

Afternoon all.
The last two days have been go-go-go from 5.15am -9pm. I'm exhausted and I'm soooo looking forward to a break this evening and hopefully a chill weekend. I moved B's swimming lessons to 6.20pm Thursdays and the first one was yesterday, it was a little crazy getting out of the house, but we'll try it for a couple weeks then switch to a Sunday if it's too much. I'm really enjoying lane swimming while he's in lessons though, so we'll for sure keep that routine going.
I might take a couple hours off this afternoon and head to the mall for a couple things before getting the kids. Decisions, decisions.
