lahdeedah I love the idea of a mystery reader, I want to suggest that to B's teacher. I'm sorry you're in a rough patch right now mwhip. I hope you get a gym break sometime today. joelies my H not helping out in the morning would frustrate the heck out of me, and I don't have to get out the door to work! is he working? sleeping? sitting on the toilet? LOL. If it were me I'd go upstairs and literally stand over him if I had to. Not the most adult way of handling things, maybe, but neither is shirking parenting duties and letting your partner do everything.

Not the most adult way of handling things, maybe, but neither is shirking parenting duties and letting your partner do everything. He's in bed usually. I would love to make a bigger deal of it - a bigger deal out of a lot of things he's been slacking on, TBH - but things have felt so fragile between us for the last year or so, so I bite my tongue. It's not healthy and needs to be addressed at some point, but right now I'm just trying to get through each day/week/month without a big fight. This shit is hard and not fun. |

Morning! Lucas is back to school this week, but Landon and ry are on fall break. I feel more like we are on break this week, because once Lucas is on the bus we have no schedule for the day. Last week was business as usual, except with an extra kid tagging along! I wish they all had break at the same time. It very suddenly has turned to fall here. I’m currently in a cozy robe with a blanket and hot coffee because it’s only 60 degrees! We’re going to hit the gym today and then I desperately need to go to the grocery store. Dh has a work happy hour tonight so we will probably meet friends at the park and do an easy dinner.

wineallthetime I like the drop off line- but I hate the required pickup line because it takes forever.... I try to get there once it’s already moving. Something I don’t like is that I literally NEVER see the other parents. I’ve made a lot of friends this way at our past schools and now I have no idea even what his friends looks like. I’m sorry mwhip... when everything piles up like that it is so tough. I hope the car situation gets figured out! I’m at the gym... stalling so Letty can play longer before I head home. We carved pumpkins yesterday! And when I say we I mean me and my SIL... that kids didn’t want to touch it. 🙄

Fun surprise lahdeedah! What book did you choose? The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything. Target’s shelves were cleaned out except for this book and a few others. At Books A Million they already had a big table of Christmas books up front and a little table of fall/Halloween books toward the back main aisle. I also bought The Very Brave Witch. I didn’t see a lot of the titles recommended here. I’ll have to look on Amazon for those next year. |

Morning. Got M off to school, then surprised him as the mystery reader. The kids were so cute and he was excited to see me. Off to work. I need to place a call to the ENT for ear drops for M2. His left ear was oozing with fluid last night. That explains his general crankiness these last few days. How did it look this morning? I honestly don’t know. He was still asleep when I left and I didn’t look. I told MH to check and I haven’t talked with him yet. |

Last night at adult TKD class I let Maddie watch a show on my phone. What was she watching? Black Mirror.  She gushes, "This is a really good show." I agree, but you're 6. She's going to be a horror/mystery/thriller person like me. Both of the girls already love The Twilight Zone and Maddie likes Goosebumps. MH assembled a cabinet we ordered last night and it looks so good! Got to empty the rest of MH's crap that was in boxes in our room. |

It's bosses day. Happy day to all of you who are bosses!!
The office manager ordered sandwiches and cookies.
Considering not a single one of those dudes could tell me how old my kid is or even if she is a boy or girl, I waited until they were done eating back to work before I went in to get my sandwich, which I'm now eating at my desk.
(It is not a boss' "job" to know those things about an employee, but when the office is only like 15-20 people total and you always refer to us as "family" I think these particular bosses should.)

So I feel bad bringing this here because it's a bit TMI, but I have to ask: are other N13 boys constantly being asked to remove their hands from their pants? The last couple weeks it's become a major thing - even in his sleep, his hand keeps ending up in there!!

joelies we went through a phase of this a couple months ago and it was beyond annoying. We washed and dried him really well every night and applied coconut oil in case the area was dry, but I'm pretty sure it was habit. We just made him aware, and we said 'stop touching your penis' so much that Julia starting pointing to her diaper and saying 'penis'. I am very, very thankful that was a short phase.

joelies lately yes! Not in his pants but does randomly have his hand there quite a bit when watching TV or hanging around at home. 🤞 He doesn't do it at school too!

joelies O’s problem is he keeps getting a hard on and then gets really upset about it and doesn’t know what to do. Sometimes he says it hurts in his underwear. Lol. When he’s in bed i tell him to just pull his pants down until it goes away then pull them back up.

joelies N puts his hands down his pants. I just tell him to take his hands out of his pants, if he wants to touch it then that it something he can do in private. He normally just takes his hands out and continues on his way. (I also request he goes and washes his hands if he wants to go play/eat/watch tv etc)
