Well... Did you get Tix?! DH is registered for the presale. I'm just not sure when that is happening. BTW- I really wish I could remember the first half of my dream. I think it was equally as random as the pasta shell as a contact lens. I thought about it a few times today haha. Like, what lead up to that. What happened after?!

avocadotoast everyone and their mother has yeti coolers around here, mostly for keeping stuff cold when they fish and hunt. It's only a matter of time before H decides he needs one (even though he does not hunt or fish). I have a tumbler and I can leave it in my car all day in Texas and it will stay cold. I poured a bottle (yes) of rosé into my yeti tumbler over the weekend and sipped over like 2-3 hours. Still ice cold. /Relevant

45thparallel, Little was obsessed with trains. We had a motorized train for Little about this age. It was obnixous. He didn't understand that he couldn't keep touching it and was forever getting it off the tracks. Because fine motor are lacking, he couldn't put it back on the track. He would also walk around the house with the engine and we were worried he would break it. Eventually, we hid it. We had a wooden Thomas set that worked better for him. He could be a little rougher, carry the trains and tracks around, and could push the trains around. ill look into wooden ones. He's playing with the lego "trains" (no tracks) and he loads up the train cars with animals and pulls it around. Maybe wood would be the easiest transition to tracks with the lowest risk of him destroying it.

45thparallel, there are wooden IKEA tracks that work with the wooden Thomas cars and track sets. I think Melissa and Doug also makes some that are compatible. Also, a nice thing about the wooden Thomas ones is that you can buy motorized or manual trains. So if your LO gets older and wants some motorized ones, you won't need a whole new set of tracks.

We have two big bins of the wooden tracks and a train table (not currently assembled) and no trains for them! My sis gave us all that stuff and for some reason we think the trains are at my mom's, but we haven't actually figured that out yet. E actually already likes putting the wooden tracks together though and just runs other stuff over them. They are definitely sturdy and fairly easy for him to do.

Well I was called to come get s1 from camp early. He was really upset and they couldn't calm him down. Through talking with them and s1 I think he was just over tired. I guess they were playing a game and he left the game to lay down on some chairs nearby. They tried to engage him and see what was wrong and he got really upset(he tells me he just wanted to be left alone). I think I could actually hear him crying when they called. It IS a long day for him. Especially for a kid who never stops moving. Other than that he's been doing well. We'll see how tomorrow goes.

Oh and I'm sure they would have tried to keep calming him if camp wasn't over in 30 min. But the program director wanted to avoid him being embarrassed (the rest of the group had left for a different activity in another room shortly after this started.

jedi sorry your DS had a rough end of the day. Hopefully some conversations can be had with both him and the camp counselors on some good strategies to help him calm (for example allow him the time by himself if he needs it, and he can join when ready, or go get a drink to calm down). How long will he be in this camp?

Hey ladies! For those who are currently in the 22 month sleep regression. Hang in there. We just came out of it, and M is back going to sleep without issues, and staying asleep. There is an end to it!

I'd risk death for a deal. Kidding! But they are really expensive, ours is from a former conworker who couldn't bear to get rid of it, so I got it for DS when her kid was 14..... but it takes a licking (both literal and metaphorical)

RunsforWineandCarbs I love your hair!!!! I booked an appointment to get mine done, and now need to figure out what I am going to do with it. I want to keep growing it, but it is totally at the horrible in-between stage. I think my current goal is shorter lob, but no clue if I will have the patience. Also no clue what colour. It will be a surprise. I wish mine was a long as yours!
