What a weekend!

Morning! L got up at 5 and MH is at work. Hoping she takes an early nap. Bday party at Chuck E Cheese this afternoon, hoping MH just takes the big kids so I can stay home with A!

Morning ladies!

Yesterday we spent the day organizing. Tim has been using the baby's closet for his clothes so I had to purge almost 50% of my clothes to make room for him in mine. It was my frog, so I'm glad we got it out of the way. I organized/purged all of our other closets and bathrooms too. Next on the nesting list.... deep clean but not today. Grocery shop, maybe an afternoon movie (little foot? Anyone seen it?) Then Chiefs game at our friends house tonight.

Did I tell you all we also built a pantry in our hall coat closet the other weekend? Life changing!! I almost cried. It's across the hall from the kitchen. Think run of the mill split level. I'm so happy to finally not have food shoved into my kitchen cabinets.

She’s not enjoying it. She says it’s a lot more than she thought it would be and not fun like it was in high school. She’s going to finish this year and probably not return to cheer next year. We’re ok with it.

Morning. MH got up with the boys a while ago. I’m in bed and supposed to be catching up on my shows but I can’t find the remote. It’s probably in the living room, but I am not going out yet. MH doesn’t have to go to work today so I plan to take advantage and spend the afternoon out alone. I have a lot of stores I need to hit up.

Morning. We had a productive day. The walls in our top floor are almost finished. Because I’m an emotional mess, I do not want the kids on sleeping another level than us just yet. Which means we have a spare room to turn into a play room!!! Woohoo! The ideas are spilling over on how to turn this into a fun area with minimal budget 😬.

Great pantry mskatiep! That is what I miss most from my old kitchen...we have decent cabinet space for food storage but I miss having that dedicated spot. Enjoy!

We just went to Ninja class and my cousins wife and 4yo son came. C was so good guiding him on everything and they had a great time. We went to McDs after so my stomach is busted. C and I are going for a walk before nap. I’m napping too.

Pet Cemetery is the scariest but I will watch. I love scary movies but Dh hates them so I don’t get to see them much.

Lord knows what, it’s the idea off them not on the same floor, saying goodbye to their nurseries, becoming big kids, it’s a non rational thing, I’m just terrible with change.

We thought it was supposed to be a pretty day again today and planned to go to a pumpkin festival..turns out it's a rainy morning after I got everyone dressed in cute vests. So we went to the mall and returned some stuff. Now back at home and probably in for the day..maybe I'll tackle a closet, I should skim kon Marie again to get in the right mindset of throwing sh*t out.

Hi!! I don’t think I checked in today. We ran out this morning for coffee and a quick trip to the grocery store bc the kids were asking for spaghetti and meatballs for tonight.
We put up some of the stuff in the little command center corner, and I like the nook-like feeling of it.
I just need some folders and a wooden decorative sign above the mirror and I’ll feel like it’s complete.

I get it, @nam. Not so much on them growing up too soon front, but my anxious brain would hate for the kids to be on a different floor. We did look at a few houses that had four bedrooms but separated two on each floor and it always gave me pause.
On a related note, I’m going to have a hard time letting go of the monitor.

Hi!! We headed out to hike this morning because the forecast was totally clear... and it started down pouring as we pulled up. So we scratched that and ran errands at a few stores and ate lunch at a brewery. Heading home now, and hopefully everyone will nap. Well probably meet all the neighborhood friends at the park later and have a few beers with them.

Trudged around the mall for a couple hours and found some stuff but not the one item I was specifically looking for.

Naturally the day I left the kids home with DH was the day C took a FOUR hour nap. She's pretty much over her cold, so guess she was just super tired.

DH is going to take them out for a walk so I can watch the first part of the Jags game in peace.

Cadence just rode her bike for 2 miles! She's still learning to pedal, so there was quite a bit of pushing and helping her steer, but by the end of it she was doing pretty good.
Plus, it gets my ass up for a 2 mile walk.
We were sweaty messes by the time we got back.

We did the pumpkin patch with chrisy01 and the kids had such a great time.

Now I'm hoping to get more than a 45 minute nap out of Miss P.

We're doing date night, but Pete has been a grumpfish so I'm not sure how it will go.

My C didn’t nap but I did. Dh is going to San Diego tomorrow and won’t be home until Friday so I let him parent a lot today. We ended up going to a corn maze and pumpkin patch. It was a lot of fun. I look a mess here but figured I’d share.

I forgot to post. A Star is Born was really good. I do think it could have been shorter. It dragged a bit in the middle. But the music was amazing and the acting was incredible. I was already a Gaga fan from her work on American Horror Story but this sealed it. She was truly amazing.

Hi! LO and E had a blast at the pumpkin patch with cagoldi and family. He already wants to go back. C watched both kids so I could do laundry, go grocery shopping, and take out all the 3 month clothes from E’s closet and add in the 9 month clothes. I’m so sad she’s growing way to fast. LO was in his 3 month clothes until 5 months.
