It's going to be 80 today and cold and rainy tomorrow in the 50's. Make up your mind mother nature!
So, I just booked a trip to Washington DC for the third Woman's March. I'm so angry at the Republican party right now. Republican, Democrat, or Independent aside, the way women in this country are treated infuriates me.

I’m tired! My soccer game was late and I didn’t get to bed until after 11. Then both boys had two wake ups a piece. I stopped and got McDonald’s breakfast and a large iced coffee. I saw super cute hand/footprint crafts for Halloween online and am planning on doing one with the boys. This is my favorite:

Good morning! I saw A Star is Born last night and it was amazing. C only woke up twice last night but I never fell back asleep after the 5am wakeup. Just got a 1.5 mile run in on the treadmill while he napped and he’s starting to make noises. It’s supposed to rain all day but maybe I’ll take the boys to the library or something this afternoon just to get out of the house. Plus we’ve got 4 books that are like a week overdue 😬

Ds2 was up three times last night. I'm dragging. This kid better start walking soon to make up for the lack of sleep. My mom is coming over soon so I can run out to do errands without a baby in tow. His bday party is on Saturday so I'm in full party prep. We are doing pumpkin painting and toilet paper mummies (most kids are 4-5 years old) with a halloween story as back up. Indoor/outdoor playing throughout (I've got a crap ton of outdoor toys and we have a small wooden playset that the former owner built for his kids). It's supposed to be in the low 60s and sunny! Perfect weather.

That sounds great grumpycat! I think we've finally decided to do an open house style party with a balloon and bubble theme so we can tell people to POP in 😁

Currently pumping and wishing this work week would be over.
Anyone watch the AMAs last night? I loved Taylor and Cardi B’s performances. Mariah was such a dud! Also I didn’t realize until the AMAs that the host (from Blackish) was Diana Ross’ daughter. I thought she did a great job hosting!

Morning. DD clung to me at preschool drop off so that was Strange. She’s not feeling 100% though. Just tired.
Then i ran around and did like a bazillion errands and still managed to be done too early. Lol. So now we came back Home and are chilling at home until I have to go get her.
I want to make broccoli cheese soup for lunch. Not sure if I’ll have enough time. I should just start probably and then see. Lol. The more I think of it the more I want it.
N has been a mess lately too. Just up all freaking night. He hasn’t gotten a new tooth since 6 months old. (he has 7). Hopefully something comes through soon.

N slept very well last night. In fact, he fell asleep on the way home from DC, stayed asleep until bedtime, took his meds and bottle without complaint, and passed out again. Of course, he was wide awake when I was trying to shower this morning, but luckily H didn't have to be in early so he could entertain him while I got ready.
Last dose of Augmentin tonight!!! DC contacted me this AM that he had a massive diarrhea blowout that really irritated his bum (they wanted to check and make sure he was still on antibiotics to see if that was the cause). Figures, his last day he gets bad diaper rash. Luckily it wasn't bleeding, just irritated. They said he was crying/uncomfortable when they sat him up, but he went down for a nap and they would let me know if he still had discomfort. So far nothing yet, but I may lay down an old sheet and let him free baby it before bed just to let it air out a little.

It’s been a shitshow around here. Friday we started painted the kids bedrooms. Ken said he wasn’t feeling well. Saturday morning he went to urgent care.... strep. So antibiotics for that. We were supposed to go to a wedding in the afternoon for a friend of his from high school. I went to the ceremony alone. Ken was sleeping when I came home. He did manage to make it to the reception but it was lame so we bailed. It was also our anniversary and be surprised me with a hotel room downtown. He passed out so I ordered takeout and watched Netflix. We came home Early Sunday morning because my MIL had the baby. Ken was complaining about his leg hurting. I took one look at him and dropped him off at the hospital on my way to get the big kids from my parents. He has cellulitis. So that’s fun. Thanksgiving dinner on Monday. Now I have to take care of Ken who basically can’t walk. He had 3 rounds of iv antibiotics and had another week of oral. I drink lots of coffee.

I'm picking up from yesterday's thread- I hate packing lunches. Our DCP actually makes lunches and snacks, and sometimes even breakfast, for the kids, which is my favorite ever. But I have to pack DD1 a small lunch for preschool. Usually I just put in a protein, a fruit or veg, and a snack, and DCP fills in with a milk box and maybe something else.

Hi, all. I am at work, again with 30 minutes left. This week is tough.
Whine ahead: Yesterday and today I knew we would be short staffed, but now we will be short staffed tomorrow and Friday as well. Plus, the Saturday person can't be there so now my boss is scrambling for someone on Saturday, which is really hard to schedule when the work week has already started. It isn't the person's fault, it is a medical issue, but it is still stressful. For multiple reasons including that we are attending a wedding that day, I said I wouldn't be able to work Saturday. H is leaving for 6 days on Sunday morning, so if I work, I will only have one day off which will include solo parenting, before my work week starts again, also with solo parenting all week. Plus, I worked 3 Saturdays in September, including one that was covering for this same person. So, partially for my mental health, I just can't commit to it.
Phew.
Anywho, after work I am swinging by Target and then picking up a London fog latte on my way out, coming home, and sitting on my butt for an hour. I can't wait.

Congrats to your H grumpycat! snuff9861 yikes! Hope everything clears up quickly! Re: packing lunches- at DS1’s old daycare I always felt so much pressure to have super healthy lunches, like the teachers would judge or something? Also every couple months we had to provide classroom snacks and I worried then too which was ridiculous. I am so glad the new daycare has a “no outside food” policy! It also takes the stress off of providing Birthday treats!
