I hope either he qualifies or just starts on his own before then! With all the issue with H ears, I'm wondering if that's had a large impact on his talking. Purely anecdotal, B wasn't talking at all before his tubes and adenoid surgery at 20 months and then slowly started saying a word here and there but still wasn't "talking" at 2. In the past 3-4 weeks he's had that explosion everyone kept saying would happen. He's still behind many of the kids but it's so much better. The ENT said after his first set of tubes it solved the hearing issue so that shouldn't be hindering him anymore. I was hoping once he moved up to the next class that I'd see an improvement but he's still not really talking. Sorry. I hope you see some improvement soon! I find it interesting how many of these 2nd children are such late talkers. So many on here, and IRL I was talking to a mom at a birthday party this weekend, her daughter is in S class and her son in B's. Her daughter (like S) was a very early talker and is very outgoing. Her son still isn't stringing 2 words together yet (he's a few weeks older than my B, so like 2y 3mo). She said, same as you, that she had gotten him evaluated months ago but he didn't qualify and now she's having to start the process again.

Love the color in your kitchen! nam2013 I don’t know if I would be brave enough to take the risk, but it looks so pretty! Our last kitchen was blue too (diy job), it was the one thing I had my heart set on! It has a little green in, which you can’t see in this pic. I always get so happy when I see it. I would really love a wooden countertop, but we thought this would be a little more durable.

I made another referral for ECI services for H since he's still not talking much. He better qualify this time. I hope either he qualifies or just starts on his own before then! Purely anecdotal, B wasn't talking at all before his tubes and adenoid surgery at 20 months and then slowly started saying a word here and there but still wasn't "talking" at 2. Thanks for asking, ladies.
I feel really good about it. I'm not going back to work until the 22nd, so I have a little time to continue to try to navigate things until life gets extra crazy again.
Pete and I decided we are going to start planning for me to SAH starting January 2020. If I decide I want to keep working, fine, but if not, I've got my escape hatch ready.

I've responded a bunch today but I don't think I've said hello yet, so "hi!"
We had a busy weekend - soccer, S BFFs birthday party, errands, street fair, etc. and I started my period today so I am extra cranky and tired.
I also had to fire someone today. It's a part of my job, and something I've had to do often, but it never gets any easier. I always get myself a bit worked up on these days. The person was nice enough, and tried, but was just not good at her job. I would have done it last week but I didn't get confirmation from her replacement till this morning, so I had to wait.
Days like this I am glad I drink. T minus 2 hours till I get home and can make a cocktail.

Good morning. T has school but the other kids are off so I’m taking them to see The House With the Clock in the Walls. DD has been asking to see it but I thought T might be scared so today is a good day to go. Let me know how if you think it's too scary for M. When we saw the previews it looked scary. I’m glad I did not bring T, he would have been scared and they do say hell and dam a few times.

Morning, sorry I was MIA this weekend. we had fun at my sisters, went to a bday party, an Acapella concert, a fall festival. The 3 older kids all slept together in a room so that was a major win to be able to all fit comfortably. My nephew is a handful though, just so different than j and they bicker and tattle all the time. I hope he outgrows that because it's not fun monitoring what he's saying to j. In other news j's black fingernail is hanging on by a thread and he won't let me cut it off🤢 Lazy day here, I'm going to try to get organized and start purging. Do it when he’s sleeping. That’s what i had to do with Z when her nail was falling off.

I was supposed to fire someone last Friday but he threw a tantrum and quit that morning before i even got there. SMH. Do you know if someone qualifies for cobra when they quit? I need to look that up.

Doctors is done.
E: 25 in, 15 lbs, pediatrician said everything is looking good and I can start solids at any time. I wanted to tell him to slow down but kept it to myself. She had 3 shots and 1 liquid vaccine. No flu shot since she’s still too young.
LO: 41in, 40.2 lbs, we have to use the steroid cream again for his rashes. I really don’t want to but I don’t want them to get so bad hey bleed. They checked his hearing and vision and it all checked out. The doctor and the nurse were impressed with his communication skills. He only had the flu shot today and took it like a champ to show his baby sister how to get shots.
I also got the flu shot while we were waiting.

I believe all you have to do is notify the healthcare provider that they quit. Then they reach out to the former employee.

Then they reach out to the former employee. The employee has 30 days to decide and submit cobra paperwork. I already submitted the paperwork to end his insurance. Hopefully that was the right thing, which is what i need to figure out. My other employees who left didn’t have insurance.

Dexter is currently on a walk with Wag. They GPS track it and let you know where they popped and peed. I would show you the picture but it gives way too much detail about where I live.

If anyone wants to try Wag let me know. I’ll send you my code. First walk is free. We are thinking of having Dexter get walked at least once a week to help burn off some of his energy. He keeps waking me up in the morning.

In nj we have 60 days to decide if you want cobra. But you can terminate the insurance and then reinstate it if they choose to take cobra. I usually just wait to cancel it since I can cancel it retroactively as well

Looking good peachsmama. Are you on track for moving in? I have no idea. Gutters was the only thing done while we were gone and I'm pissed. The property manager made a big deal about me getting the exterior lights before I left so I hurried and got them and they're still sitting right where I left them. Untouched.

After I left work, I get to soccer practice and M2 is sitting on MH looking like he doesn’t feel good. When I reach them, MH says they told him he didn’t take a nap today. When Mh picked him up around 530, he was asleep. His breathing seems labored and he felt hot, so I took him home and gave him a breathing treatment and Motrin- while he napped. He has since perked up, but still coughing a lot. Why can’t these germs leave my kid alone. Can he have one month illness free?? Gah. So frustrating.
