Oh my god this baby is like a feral wolf today. He is shaking all of his toys and yelling at them because he can’t stand yet and he really wants to. It’s sort of funny but he looks crazy.

We are walking with fingers over here and cruising on furniture like crazy. This is earlier than DS1. He is SO proud of himself when he walks.

This may be TMI but the baby has a distinct “poop face” now. I always know when he is pooping and it’s hysterical.

DS slept through the night for the first time EVER last night. He slept from 8 last night to 8:45 this morning so almost 13 hours.
I feel like I have been waiting for this day for months but now that it's actually here I'm a little sad- I didn't get to see him at all before leaving for work and I miss the overnight snuggles I get since that is the only time he will fall asleep on me.
But- finally! 7.5 months in and finally a night of STTN, lol.

Also-does anyone know if there is a growth spurt around this age? He will be 8 months next week.
He took 2 naps yesterday that were both two hours, and then slept over 13 hours at night- he has been taking very long naps for the past few days. It seems like he has been sleeping a lot!

The baby is crying because he couldn’t see me while I was in the bathroom. G was never this clingy. Dude doesn’t like to be alone.

I think the baby really likes to eat from a fork or spoon. He 100% can feed himself. He does it every day usually more than once a day. However if you bring out a fork or spoon he will whine until you feed him with it. I don’t know if it’s because he wants to bite it because of teething or he is lazy. Lol.

Has anyone else's formula fed baby really cut back on their formula intake? Baby eats 2 or 3 pouches each day and usually dinner with us. She used to drink 5 6 oz bottles a day but is now drinking like 18 oz a day. She only drinks 2 oz each feeding at daycare. Her food intake hasn't changed much in the past few weeks except for a decrease in formula. Maybe a growth spurt in reverse?

It’s 4 bottles, 2 of them are 5oz and 2 of them are 6oz. I could probably cut out one of the 6oz bottles and it wouldn’t bother him. I was just worried about him only taking 16oz of formula so young. I feel like he needs the nutrients and the calories to grow. Other than that info, I am useless. Sorry.

Baby suddenly realized she was tired and threw an all out tantrum. Like flopping all over the floor and yell crying and looking plain ridiculous. It was sad and funny all at the same time.

T is formula fed and naturally cut back. She’s still waking twice a night to have bottles and eats a lot of solids during the day so seems fine to me. If we can cut bottles close or a little before her birthday than that’s great.

Mine is definitely taking less in bottles during the day. Usually 2 of the 3oz bottles unless it is a really long day. Then he might have 3

If we can cut bottles close or a little before her birthday than that’s great. I am hoping to do what I did with G. I am going to drop the mid afternoon bottle in a few weeks. Then I will try and replace the morning, after lunch and before bed bottles with sippy cups of formula. Then the two-ish weeks before his birthday I will start mixing formula with milk in the sippy cups. Then hopefully I can get rid of the bottles by his first birthday. I actually flew to FL the day before Gs first birthday and I didn’t bring any bottles or formula with me. He eats 3 solid meals a day and won’t turn down a snack if I offer it so he definitely won’t be hungry.

sarahh not FF, but I have noticed a drop in feedings with H. Sometimes she has a little “snack” and will only nurse for a minute or 2...which is kind of similar to only drinking a couple-oz bottle?

I made spaghetti and sausage for dinner. The baby killed it! He couldn’t get enough. I love when my kiddos dig my dinners.

I need to do a purge of baby clothes that O has outgrown and get a move on listing and pricing all our baby stuff! I think I'm ready to get rid of the RnP, Sit Me Up, and bassinet. Liv still likes her swing so I'll keep that up for a little bit. But school takes up all my evening time. I'm going to be finishing up my Human Capital class this weekend then I'm on to my Capstone class & project 😍😳🙌🏻
O needs a couple more pairs of long sleeve pj's and fleece sleepers. I have a couple gift cards for her I could use but I don't want to buy thin awful pj's (looking at you, Carter's). I've been digging the ON ones bc they are well made and cheap.

We had our ENT appointment today and little one will be getting tubes this month. When I gly home I realized I scheduled it for the morning of preschool pictures and I planned to have pictures taken of him too. It's ridiculous to put off surgery a week for this, right?

Good morning ladies! I could seriously use a vacation. Moving sucks, unpacking sucks. We got rid of most of our furniture so unpacking most things is impossible because there is no where to put it. Hopefully today we will get a couch, h will fix the bookshelf for the boys room and we’ll get a dresser for our room. H goes back to work on Monday and I am not ready.

If I could easily reschedule it for the following week I probably would but if it would be complicated or a big wait I wouldn't.

I gave my girls a (breastmilk) milk and oat bath yesterday to try to help my olders eczema. It's definitely eczema patches she's scratching, now that we've gotten them to heal up a bit. It feels weird bc I'm not currently nursing E but I'm happy I am nursing O so that E can also have some "extra" for her skin. I've built up a good stash so once we get to 1yo I'd like to donate 100oz and save the rest for milk baths.

Fri night I was weirdly sick and lost all the food I ate. Yesterday was a bad day bc I was totally drained from that and my stomach still hadn't really settled. Today I'm okay though so hopefully it was just from something I ate and a stomach bug isn't planning to rip thru my household.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians!
The baby spiked a fever early yesterday morning (104). We called the health line and they said to alternate with Tylenol and Advil and there was no need to bring him in unless the temperature didn’t drop at all or if he had other symptoms.
I’m supposed to be at my brother’s cottage for Thanksgiving with the whole family, but the there is no hospital there and I didn’t want to bring a sick baby around all the other kids. So I’m stuck at home alone (husband is in Cleveland at a Brown’s game). The baby hasn’t taken a bottle in over 36 hours and will only occasionally eat puréed fruit. I’m following him around with a syringe of water hoping to keep him getting a least a little bit of fluid.

Is he still having wet diapers? If not, I'd be taking him simply from concerns of dehydration.

Happy Thanksgiving to our friends to the north. The best turkey dinner I've ever had was on your Thanksgiving in Niagara Falls. Ok, maybe it was influenced by wine. I loved being able to celebrate Thanksgiving twice that year.

jessijean, he is, just not nearly as many as often. He definitely has tears when he cries. I’ve been keeping track of how long between each and trying to get as many fluids as possible into him.
