My dad is in a barbershop quartet. They sang at my wedding reception. It was awkward but sweet. One year they sang the national anthem at my high school homecoming game. My sister win queen so they sang to her in front of the whole school. Embarassing. That's rough. I very clearly remember being a teen and laughing hysterically with my friends at our dates when we found out they were in a barbershop quartet. I don't think this is super funny as an adult, but teen me started laughing until she cried when they started singing. I can only imagine the horror if your father did this in front of everyone. |

If you’ve never listened to Mike Rowe’s podcast episode on Barbershop Quartets...please do. It’s amazing. I have not. Sounds interesting. I’m very impressed with anyone who devotes that kind of time to anything they enjoy with that kind of passion now. Teen me thought it was very dorky and was also kind of mean girlish around certain friends. I have a huge podcast list but will add. |

When I was waitressing years ago a guy dressed up as an actual knight in shinning armor to propose to his gf. One of the waiters had to help him get his armor on in the bathroom. It was horrific. Oooh. I physically recoiled |

I have my Blinds Halloween boycott costumes ready. I have several costume changes.    I love Schmidt and the “youths” thing so much. It’s all in how he says it. But as a substitute teacher I sometimes shake my head and say that( not when the kids are there). I do tell the kids no shenanigans, and 9 of 10 times they asked me what that word means. Apparently I’m officially old. |

On the topic of singing, my dad sang the song Daughters to me at my graduation party, because of me yelling at him and referencing the song months before. At the time I was kind of embarrassed( although I didn’t really have friends so it was just family around), but in retrospect I’ve always felt bad for being embarrassed, since I’m lucky he did that for me. Then again I also hate any attention on me and 20 min after that everyone was sat down for a dvd of my life complete with news anchors, the mayor, and interviews of everyone I know, with a camera aimed at me while I watched it to see my reactions. So my viewpoint is very skewed

I haven't been to a restaurant on my birthday where they sing in years. They seriously still make the staff sing? Texas roadhouse does. I swear there were 5 birthdays the last time we were there Yes they do and its extra embarrassing because they bring out a saddle for you to sit on. I told them it was my moms birthday a few years ago and embarrassed the crap out of her. It was amazing. |

I read that the episode that aired this week had Kim talking about multiple fights she and Kanye had recently. My first thought was “I wonder if she’s setting the stage for a divorce.” Do you think she might be doing that, especially with all his bad press over the weekend? Yes. I think that they both got what they wanted out of the relationship. She got her marriage, even higher recognition and her babies. He got his dream of being with Kim. I think that they love each other, but are not IN LOVE with each other. I think they wanted it to work, but Kim is all about her business and name and Kanye will ruin that. |

I also think Kanye's move to Chicago is the start. Yes Kim will "live" there too, but we already know she will never leave Calabasas. She has said as much. So even if they stay married they will in a sense be separated.
