charliefox how did your appointment go? sally did you have your polyp removal yet? skidevil87 thinking of you. I had another appointment today and my lining is thin. Iāve never had that before, they normally say it looks great. Iāll go back in 2 days and if it hasnāt improved my doc will cancel this cycle. I donāt want to cancel but I also want the best chance possible. So weāll see.

champagne, Mentally I'm doing okay. I am missing my girl today. But the pain is there- so I know the medication is working. After the first set of shots, my numbers went up instead of down, so I had to get a second dose on Tuesday. That was the day I also started bleeding and passing clots. I am not bleeding anymore, but assume I will as soon as my HCG gets lower. I have had some closure now that I'm bleeding. Just wanted this so badly. I'd hate to cancel a cycle, but you need to give your body the best chance! Ya can't rush it!

skidevil87 Iām so sorry. It must be so incredibly hard. The emotional and physical toll is so difficult. I understand wanting it so badly. IF is the worst. Sending you hugs.

champagne, appointment was fine, lining was thin, no cysts, and I started Estrace. I have a lining check & blood draw on Thursday, then Halloween will be the next check and then I'll start progesterone for a transfer Nov 6. Of course, H leaves for his monthly Army duties the day I start PIO injections. I am so freaked out but trying not to think about it. I must admit I'm jealous of your FET protocol - seems so much easier than mine! When is your next appointment? Have you had lining issues before?

skidevil87, so many hugs. I've never had an ectopic but I have had losses and the bleeding was always erratic, I was told that was normal. Hopefully your body gets the message soon and does what it needs to do. Thinking of you.

Iām sorry about your H being gone and having to do the PIO shots by yourself. I havenāt had to do those before but Iāve heard theyāre tough. Iām sure youāll do fine though. Thanks for asking. Itās funny how are protocols are so different. I had my lining checked again Sunday and it looked great. I had blood work today and it was fine. I trigger tonight and transfer is set for Monday, 10/29. Iām hoping this is it for us.

champagne thanks for checking up on us. The polyp removal went fine, except while he was in there he decided my āarcuateā ute had enough of a septum that it should be resected as well, so he did that. He was in there before and didnāt think it needed to be done, but I guess he got a better look at it this time š¤·āāļø I was a little worried because he prescribed T3s for pain after, but except for some cramping as I was coming out of the anaesthetic, it was fine. So that throws our timeline off since septum resection recovery is apparently longer than polyp resection. Iām checking in with the clinic but Iām guessing we wonāt be able to transfer until December/January, since the clinic is closed for two weeks for the holidays, but we shall see. Iām hoping to hear back today.

champagne, glad to hear your lining looks good! I can't even tell you how jealous I am that your transfer is before mine, you're protocol is so much better! If this transfer doesn't stick I might ask for something similar or for a natural cycle. sally, I have a nurse friend who always offers to help, my PIO is supposed to be in the morning so that makes it more difficult to get help from her. Also, I kind of don't want an "out" because then it will be harder to face the fact that I have to do them myself at some point! H is gone for 5 days the day I start, he has a lot of other travel coming up to. Blargh. Anyone have tips and tricks for PIO? Ice or heat?

*grad* charliefox, heat helps the most with PIO. H warms the bottle between his hands for a bit before drawing up the meds. Then I use a heating pad just on the injection site for a couple minutes after the shot. The heat helps to prevent big bruises too. Be prepared with bandaids, since if they bleed you can get a lot of blood on your underwear.

charliefox, Once I have the PIO in the syringe, I stick it under my arm for 10-15 minutes. It gets nice and warm. If I'm doing the injection myself, I ice the area before hand. After injection I rub the area really well and that's that. After about 3 weeks, you'll probably have some numb spots from the amount of injections, so that's good. The farther out on the back you stay, the better- the muscle is huge- so don't worry about that too much.

skidevil87, what do you mean the "farther out on the back you stay"? I have an appointment the day before I start PIO and they'll draw big sharpie circles on me where I'm supposed to do it, are you saying to try to inject more to the side or higher up?

Actually both- Once you get the hang of knowing where to feel you won't need the sharpie marks- but you want to draw an imaginary line perpendicular to the very top of your butt crack. Then you're going to draw a parallel line to the butt crack halfway across the cheek. You're going to stay to the upper-outer portion of that. It's actually by your "love handles". If you go on youtube at all- I would search Phil and Alex and the video is titled "best PIO injection" or something like that. the PA working with them explains it REALLY well.

Survived day 1 of PIO! The nurses were so sweet at my appointment yesterday and said I could come in for the injection but obviously I couldn't do that every day so I bit the bullet and just did it myself. Totally easy except now I'm sore!
