The bottom of my feet were itching so bad it woke me up last night, so I called my doc and asked for blood work in case of cholestasis. I have lost all perspective on what is OTT vs. just reasonably vigilant, hopefully my doctor is cool with a little paranoia. *lurking from Jan/Feb '19* Nothing is over the top when it comes to potential ICP. It is much better to be tested and have results come back normal than to ignore the symptoms and go untreated if you have it. I hope your lab results come back quickly! @amc what did I miss? I didn’t know your a member of a new board... congrats lady

A friend gave me two maternity shirts. I was excited. Annnnnnd, they’re tight. They fit now. They will not... very soon. Why is this baby so large?!

Every time I have to ask instead of being offered something by my OB, I feel a little ott, but I know that's silly.

I will be 36 weeks tomorrow and have a growth ultrasound before I see my OB. I am nervous because I think the baby is breech and idk what that means for delivery.
I am also having wicked BH, my back is killing me, and today I got upset because my husband wants to get our chimneys inspected. Rational codypup has left the building.

I'm at that point where I kind of wish he would drop so he could drop, because currently he loves crowding my longs/squishing up kind of under my rib cage, which is horrible. But also, as soon as he drops, I know it's just a whole new set of internal organs to traumatize.

I’m in the irrational pregnant stage too codypup. Good luck at your ultrasound. I completely lost my shit crying last night after a phone call with my mom. She told me my brother and his gf went ring shopping which is great news because she’s legit the best. I think it just brought up some weird emotions about how she treats his gf as more of a daughter than she does me. My poor H was just talking to me and suddenly I’m sobbing and he didn’t know what to do. I just told him it was my hormones and it was time for bed. I woke up this morning feeling so dumb.

We started DS2’s growth hormone injections over the weekend and we all hate them. H and I hate holding him down and giving them to him and DS2 cries the whole time and for awhile after. It’s what we have to do but it just sucks and it’s so emotionally draining on us all.
This LO has been sitting on a nerve in my hip lately and I feel like I need a cane to walk. I end up limping around for 5-10 minutes after getting up each time until he decides to reposition himself. DS1 gets very concerned when I am in pain and it’s pretty sweet.

Just got back from my check up and doctor said I’m 3cm dilated and baby is in the head down position. I know that could mean weeks before labor, but it feels really close now!

That’s so exciting Dr. Cox! I really can’t wrap my head around the fact that there will be BMB babies soon.

I just got back from my MFM appointment. This boy is measuring nearly 6 pounds and his head and stomach are measuring 37 weeks already. I am not even 33 weeks yet. I am starting to think a possible c section might not be so bad.

Baby shifted around sometime in the last day and it feels so weird! He’s been hanging out on my right side with his butt in my ribs and kicking on the left pretty much since 3rd trimester started, and now he’s kicking me on the right and I think his butt is more toward the middle? I also think he’s dropped, I’m having crazy pressure down low when I stand/walk, which probably is why he had some room to move. Just hoping he hasn’t flipped or anything, it was nice to be able to feel his butt and know he was still head down.
Also holy shit 38 weeks today!

We are HEAD DOWN! Predicted to be 5lbs 7oz and she’s dropped some. I had to do an NST bcs she was not cooperating with that practice breathing thing they’re supposed to do, but all looked good.
I do have low iron so my OB is starting me on iron supplements.
4 more weeks, max. I can do this.

Someone talk me out of panicking. MH has a business trip across the country M-W next week. At 3cm and 50% effaced, should I be freaking out that he’ll miss it or does that mean nothing??

I will cross everything that the baby chooses not to come while he’s gone. With my DD I was 4cm and 75% effaced for 2 weeks and still had to be induced. I hope that helps ease your worries a bit.

Dr. Cox I want to tell you not to panic, but I’d panic a smidge. But I also went from no dilation at 40 weeks to hello baby two days later.

Thanks, ladies. He’s trying to get out of it but it’s a big deal so I don’t know if he can. And I do not want anyone with me except MAYBE my mom and she’s 9 hours away, I have this fear that my MIL or SIL will push me into having one of them there and I DNW more than anything.

Is this your first? I was 3 cm dialated for around 4-6 weeks with my first. I would be nervous too. I hope that nothing happens while he is away!

I was 3 cm just a couple of days before I went into labor with DS1, which I know means nothing as each pregnancy is different. Or at least I keep telling myself that.

Only something like 20% of babies are born before 38 weeks. And he's only gone for three days -- the likelihood of your baby arriving on any one of those days in particular I think is only like 2%. Anything COULD happen, but it probably won't.

If you want another anecdote... someone from my first BMB was dilated 3 or 4cm for at least two weeks with her second.
